Flaregames seems to be on a roll ever since it hit the jackpot with Nonstop Knight. The German gaming company is now breaking into the card game genre with Warhammer Combat Cards – 40K Edition, which is now available for pre-registration. The upcoming deck-building card battler game will feature eight different factions for players to choose from, each with its own strengths and weaknesses.
In Warhammer Combat Cards – 40K Edition, players are free to select a specific faction to specialize in, or they can build a multi-faction deck. Factions include the Space Marines, Aeldari Empire, Orks, Necrons, Tyranids, T’au, Mankind, and Chaos. Cards from these factions can be unlocked by collecting skulls and opening card packs.
The game has plenty of PVE content that allows players to hone their skills while building their decks. Those who are ready for more competitive action can head into PVP battles where they can challenge the best players from around the world. Combat revolves around taking out the opponent’s Warlord. Players may choose to charge at their target head on or pick off the Warlord’s guards first.
Warhammer Combat Cards – 40K Edition also appeals to the collectors as each card features an Eavy Metal-painted Warhammer 40k miniature. Each miniature has its own upgrade path as well. There are hundreds of cards to unlock and upgrade in order to complete the ultimate collection.
Warhammer Combat Cards – 40K Edition will be available through Google Play and the App Store. Those who want to be notified as soon as the game launches may pre-register through their preferred app store.
UPDATE: It looks like the game is already out in select regions.
