Concrete Software’s Rapala Fishing – Daily Catch (Android, iOS) is a new fishing game where you can experience the thrill of catching a variety of freshwater fish while immersing yourself in beautiful 3D locations across America. Like in other fishing-based games, you’ll need to choose the right mix of items for the job, and one of your goals is to keep catching bigger fish with each succeeding trip. You can compete with other players from around the world in the game’s daily challenges and tournament. And since the game’s endorsed by leading fishing lure maker Rapala, it comes with no shortage of the company’s products. As the game’s description says, the title is “not just real fishing,” but “Rapala real.”
One of the game’s interesting mechanics is that it doesn’t have any form of energy units in it, which means you can go on unlimited fishing trips, as long as you have lures, of course. However, that doesn’t make this game any easier for beginners, who may find it daunting the first time around. So with that said, join us for some Rapala Fishing: Daily Catch tips and tricks, designed for the first-time angler.
1. Learning The Real Basics
First of all, you’ll have to cast the lure out to what is known as a hot spot in order to have the fish coming your way. But what constitutes as a hot spot? You’ll need to look at where the fish are jumping, and after that, aim the lure and cast it out. Each of the official Rapala lures in the game have their own specific patterns, so you may need to figure this out through some trial and error; cast the lure and watch what happens when it’s in the water.
2. What To Do When The Lure Is In The Water
Once your lure has been cast and is already in the water, you can start swiping on your display. You will see a blue circle surrounding the lure after the first correct swipe. After the second and third, you’ll see larger blue circles appear progressively, and the fourth swipe, you’ll see an even bigger blue circle temporarily covering your screen. Again, it’s all about trial and error here to determine how you should swipe per lure you use.
3. How To Actually Catch A Fish
We’ve already told you what to do with the lure, but what about what you’re actually out there to catch, meaning the fish? The moment a fish bites on the lure, quickly swipe upwards to place the hook in its mouth. The key word here is “quickly,” because if you aren’t fast enough, the fish will get away. Don’t fret if the fish gets away but it isn’t one you’re targeting in the challenge; there are lots more fish which you can catch.
Also, you shouldn’t pull the lure back too quickly; consecutive swipes wouldn’t cut it in this instance. In fact, you’re better off letting the lure stay in the water for a longer period of time.
4. Watch Videos For Freebies
Rapala Fishing will occasionally prompt you to watch a video so you can earn free items. Tap on the video and you’ll earn yourself some silver coins, free of charge. This is a great way to earn more coins so you can buy more lures. It’s also possible to tap on the “free gold” button in the in-app store so you can earn free gold. You’ll have a list of offers to choose from in the offer wall, and while most of them can be tricky, some are worth trying out for yourself.
5. You’re Only Limited To One Area As A Starter
As this is a free title, there are some aspects of the game that are limited when you’re just starting out. For example, you’ll only be able to go fishing in a certain part of Lake Minnetonka. But once you gain more experience and level up in the game, more areas will be made available to you in that lake. Soon, you’ll gain access to different lakes, which means different challenges for you to try out.
6. Take Part In The Challenges And Tournaments
Once you’ve improved your fishing skills and gotten a hang of the game’s mechanics, you can then test your mettle in the daily challenges and tournaments, where you can compete against other human players. This should be a great way for you to earn more rewards, not the least of these being more currency to buy new stuff in the game.
These would be our tips and hints for Rapala Fishing: Daily Catch. If you happen to know additional hints for the game, don’t hesitate to let us know!
For the catch one musky or Pike using a blue Gill as bait challenge, how in the world is this accomplished? I have spent 30-45 minutes with a blue Gill on hook and can not get either of these fish to bite. Frustrating to say the least!! Any tips or help would be great.
try catching the smallest bluegill, Ive caught them both as it does seem to take forever. But that seemed to work for me
You have to let the bait fish run into deeper water .
The circle target comes up on the side you touch it and the bait will run then reel it back in slowly and then let it run again.
Much like real fishing, it’s a joy of patience. Hook the smallest one that you can. You keep it reeled in and within the school of large fish. Let it run by itself into the school and reel it in if it gets too far. Eventually you will get to see that it has drawn in the attention of larger fish which will eventually bite. It should take you no longer than 5 minutes when you get your bluegill hooked. If it takes longer, reel it in all the way and start over.
Once I figured this out I was able to repeat it several times, and it is always instant – not several minutes of the fish running around on the hook. You just need to set the hook on a Bluegill when there is a Pike in the same frame, even better if you snag the Bluegill right in front of the Pike. The Bluegill striking triggers the response from the Pike and then it is off to the races! Good luck.
U just got leave the bluegill there & constantly reel in & out
How many challenges are there per location? Is it never ending or for u eventually clear it?
There are three locations per lake that will require you to level up before you go to another spot in the lake.
To catch a pike with bluegill just use the first lure you get, original floating to lure in the bluegill, make sure lines invisiline. Let the bluegill swim off with your line and it may take a few minutes just reeling it in a little and letting it swim off. Sometimes if it doesn’t work in 5 minutes I reel it in and try again.
How do you catch a monster fish?
A lot of times you will hear a drum eat when a monster fish bites your line those are the ones you want to catch. I can’t seem to catch a legendary
First things first; you have to accurately cast into an area where the fish are active. There maybe a hotspot available as well. When you cast, give it a second to evaluate what’s around the lure. You will see some that are larger than others. Monster fish will have a large drum roll as they hit the lure. Keep in mind that the Legendary fish will only be available if you hear the first few beats of the “Jaws” theme. Then do the same, hang back for a second and you will see one fish that seems to be a lot larger than what it normally is. That’s the one to go for. When the Legends hit, you will hear a single thump noise. Hook it!
I have managed to land a legendary smallmouth bass, bluegill sunfish, striped bass and white crappie. I find using bluegill sunfish as live bait works well when you try and keep the fish in one spot. Don’t wait long.
how do you claim your rewards from tournaments? i click on rewards and it says i have some but i cant find anything. can some one please help.
How do you earn more gold without buying? What are the experience points used for? Thanks!
The experience points are used to unlock New area in the game. Ass for the gold, I’ve gotten over 50 gold from the lucky strike but you have to watch videos to get five chances
What lure to use for Channel Catfish? Thank you…
go to your gear and select lures… at the top, select the type of fish you are going for to see only lures for that type of fish. Right now my challenge is a “Legendary Northern Pike”. I have brought in 3 Monster Pike but have yet to get a “Legendary”.
