The ultimate Megaman game for mobile devices, Megaman X DiVE, is getting closer to becoming a reality as CAPCOM Taiwan has announced the opening of applications for the closed beta tests. The game will be featuring old-school gameplay with familiar stages and characters from previous Megaman titles.
The global closed beta tests will only be accepting 30,000 players, and only Android players may participate. A Google or Gmail account is required in order to sign up. No announcements have been made so far if iOS users will be joining the closed beta phase eventually. Those who will make the cut will find out on August 23 at 12:00 (GMT+8) when CAPCOM publishes the official list.
There are two ways to sign up for the closed beta tests of Megaman X DiVE. The first one is through the official website. Players must enter their information, including a unique Google account, in order to register. The second option is to participate in the Deep Memory Log event on the game’s official Facebook page. Players will need to like the post and showcase their favorite Megaman merchandise for a chance to win a slot in the tests.
No announcements have been made regarding the exact start date of the closed beta phase, but it will be towards the end of August. Those who make it into the Megaman X DiVE closed beta will only be able to play the game between 18:00 (GMT+8) and 6:00 (GMT+8).
