For this installment of our Dumb Ways to Die 2 strategy guide, we shall be heading to the Dumb Dome, which features yet another collection of mini-games. As we told you last time, there are 28 all in all, and the common goal in all of these mini-games is to survive. So let’s get back into the thick of things and help you avoid dying in a really dumb way, while racking up your score and progressing through the game as you dominate the athletics-themed Dumb Dome.
Dynamite Relay Race
Aim for the hand when passing the dynamite – do not drag the dynamite to the other character’s arm. It’s very important not to overdo things, even when the pace does pick up eventually.
Electric Fence Hurdles
As your character will be up in the air for a much longer time than it would in Patchy Ice Figure Skating, this is a much easier jumping-themed mini-game. Use this to your advantage as you hurdle those electric fences.
Hammer Throw
Again, it’s best to do as we say, and not as the game says. DWTD 2 will suggest swiping in a circular motion, but we beg to differ – swiping in a long oval from left to right is far more effective for many players, as opposed to aiming for a perfect circle.
Javelin Catch
The main thing here is to make sure that you haven’t muted your phone or tablet. Tap on the display to move once you hear the javelin descending, and that should be all there is to it. Still, if you insist on playing without sound, tap the display once your character’s shadow becomes darker and larger.
Lightning Pole Vault
Simply swipe once the white line hits the yellow part of the bar on the bottom of the display. The white line may move in either direction and at a variety of speeds, so one good tactic here would be to swipe as the white bar is near the yellow space, not when it’s actually there.
Running With Scissors
Speed is the name of the game in here, as you have to tap quickly on your display with one or two thumbs, guiding your character to the finish line. But this isn’t really a race, as the two other characters don’t really have any bearing on your success.
Shoelace Tie
Tying a shoelace may be extremely easy in real life, but in Dumb Ways to Die 2, it can be very, very frustrating. Just follow the dotted line and be sure you’re tracing everything, and if you don’t get it right the first time, just keep on practicing. Yes, it’s going to make you feel like a little kid again, but it’s something you’ll have to do for this particularly irksome mini-game.
Three Ton Clean And Jerk
This is another tilting mini-game, and in here you have to make sure you’re tilting very slightly, may it be left or right. Tilting too far back will lose the mini-game for you, so be careful and take it easy.
