Artery Gear: Fusion Tier List: A Complete Ranking of Every Vanguard AG in the Game

Artery Gear: Fusion has proven to be more than just a new addition to the plethora of anime-inspired, turn-based strategy RPGs that flood the mobile gaming market. With a huge roster of collectible female characters to match the enormity of its content, coupled with its superb art style and overall aesthetical package, strategy RPG beginners and experienced players alike can easily determine just how much time and effort the developers have invested into this epic adventure.

Players, especially strategy RPG enthusiasts, will be treated to an abundance of ways and means to strengthen and enhance their favorite characters and teams, and likewise customize how each one performs in battle. The numerous challenges provide almost every unit a chance to shine and be on the lime light but despite every creator’s desire to have a perfectly balanced roster of characters, some units are bound to excel in certain fields while some simply lag behind in terms of overall strength and utility.

artery gear fusion best characters

If you have just started your unique sci-fi fantasy adventure in the world of Artery Gear: Fusion or have yet to even launch the game for the first time, we highly recommend that you peek into our Artery Gear: Fusion Beginner’s Guide first. There is a lot to take in as you progress through the early chapters of your adventure in the game and our discussion of the initial content as well as the basic tips and strategies contained in the beginner’s guide, can help direct your progression faster and more efficiently.

Although we have already discussed the reroll process in our beginner’s guide and have provided a select few Vanguard AGs that you may want to recruit before progressing through your adventure, we are inclined to create our very own tier list to rank all vanguard AGs in the game. As can be expected, our tier list, like all other tier lists we have published, has its share of subjectivity given that considerations are based on opinions and these vary from one user to the next. Likewise, characters in each tier are also considered to be equal and are arranged alphabetically and not from strongest to weakest.

artery gear fusion character

What we considered in terms of ranking each Vanguard AG, is based on their overall performance in general PvE and PvP combat, as well as their strength and utility values across the different Raid Bosses. It is important to note as well that each character is graded individually and without consideration for preferred builds and gears. Like any other strategy RPG, Artery Gear: Fusion makes it so that simply having a full team of S tier characters will not necessarily net you an S tier team across all challenges or even perform cohesively and effectively enough in any single game mode.

The rationale behind tier lists is to at least have an idea as to which characters are worth investing time and resources in given the limitations of both. What we would always recommend is to pick one of the higher tier characters and then look for the best secondary characters that can work best with that character. As can be expected, Different characters can excel in different game modes, so at a later time in your journey, you will have to form different teams to take on different kinds of challenges.

Artery Gear: Fusion S Tier Vanguard AGs

While we consider one character in the entire roster of Artery Gear: Fusion as exceptionally strong across all of the main challenges in the game, our main determinant as to which units make it to the S tier is based on doing well enough across most of the PvE and PvP game modes along with the 3 boss raids. These are units definitely worth investing resources on and can be considered as the focal unit in your team from which you will build the rest of the characters on.

Alice [ Class: Tactical — Element: Blue — Star: 4 ]

PvE: S – PvP: S – R Raid: S G Raid: S – B Raid: S

alice artery gear fusion

Alice is a common fan-favorite because turns and speed are very vital elements in any givem strategy RPG and given her inherent ability to grant an extra turn for her allies, she can improve any team just by being on it. Although starting as a 4-star character, she is definitely one of the best, if not the best, character in the game and performs spectacularly across every challenge you face in your adventures from the early game all the way to the end game.

Alice’s basic skill, Gravitational Collapse, deals 84.4% damage to a single target and increase a random ally’s action bar by 15%. Judgement Day Clock is an active skill that has a 4-turn cooldown and can grant a random ally an extra turn as well as an attack boost for 2 rounds, giving Alice a 20% increase in her action bar as well. Universal Collapse has a 5-turn cooldown and inflicts 84.8% damage to all enemies while having a 75% chance of inflicting Slow on them for 2 rounds.

Cream [ Class: Healer — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: S – PvP: S – R Raid: A G Raid: B – B Raid: B

cream artery gear fusion

While Assault Type Vanguard AGs, like their counterparts in other turn-based strategy RPGs, are certainly first picks in terms of being the core member of most teams, there are no such teams that can work as efficiently if they are all assault types or attackers. Every balanced and synergistic team requires characters from other classes.

As far as healers go, Cream is definitely an easy pick for almost any PvE and PvP team. Not only does she provide her whole team massive AoE heals, she also grants allies with barrier and immunity and can further boost her team’s survivability by lowering her enemies attack power.

Cream’s Butter Foam deals 106% damage to a single target and has a 25% chance of inflicting Attack Down for 2 turns. Butter Cure is an active skill that only has a 2-turn cooldown and restores 18% of her health to a single ally. Healing increases to 20% for allies with lower than 50% health and decreases to 8% otherwise. Butter Overflow has a 5-turn cooldown and provides healing for all allies worth 15% of Cream’s HP, giving them a Barrier as well worth 20% of her HP, and gives DMG Reduction to the ally with least damage.

Lila [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: S – PvP: S – R Raid: S G Raid: B – B Raid: A

lila artery gear fusion

Lila is the Assault type Vanguard AG you would want on your team primarily as a single target eliminator. She certainly excels in dealing massive damage against a single target, but she has more under her sleeve as she can raise her allies’ critical strike chance and even give herself an extra turn.

Her basic skill, Burning Concentration, inflicts 100.7% damage to a single target and consumes all her energy. The damage is increased by 4% for every point of energy consumed and when critical strike hits, it deals 20% more damage. Warrior’s Symbol has a 5-turn cooldown and gives the team Crit Up for 3 turns as well boosts their action by 1% for every 5.4% of her critical chance.

While active and an ally deals a critical strike, Lila earns 1 energy and a 10% action bar increase. When enhanced, this also gives Lila an extra turn. Einzelkampf deals 169.6% damage to a single target, consuming all energy and increasing damage by 7% for every point of energy used. Critical strikes with this skill deal an extra 50% damage as well.

Morris [ Class: Healer — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: S – PvP: A – R Raid: S G Raid: S – B Raid: B

morris artery gear fusion

Yet another healer for the S tier, Morris may not have a barrier or immunity buff for her allies but can perform team heals more often. She is an excellent support unit that can reduce skill down for everyone and can also cleanse allies from negative status effects.

Morris’ Fire For Protection deals 106% damage to a single target and has a 25% chance to inflict Blind for 2 rounds. Emergency Mist Treatment has a 3-turn cooldown and heals a single ally worth 15% of Morris’ max HP, increasing their action bar by 30% as well as provides Heal Over Time for 2 turns. When advanced, this also reduces all the ally’s skill cooldown by 1 round. Pure Cure has a 4-turn cooldown and heals all allies worth 31.8% of Morris’ max HP and cleanses as well.

Sirius [ Class: Assault — Element: Green — Star: 5 ]

PvE: S – PvP: S – R Raid: C G Raid: S – B Raid: S

sirius artery gear fusion

The second and last Assault type unit we considered for the S tier, Sirius is the only other Vanguard AG like Alice that we are inclined to consider well above all other units in the tier. Her damage capability, speed buff, and low skill cooldown makes her a formidable character across most of the challenges you will come across from early to late game.

Sirius’ Shooting Star inflicts 135.9% damage to a single enemy with an extra 0.075% damage per 1 unit of her speed. This also places a Speed Down debuff on the target if Sirius has a speed buff. Pinpoint Breakthrough has a 3-turn cooldown and deals 163.1% damage to a single enemy, having a similar damage boost based on her speed and also grants her a Speed Buff for 2 turns.

Moreover, a critical strike with this skill grants Sirius an extra turn. Sapphire Starfall does 220.5% damage to a single target plus 0.2% damage per unit of speed. Killing the target extends Sirius’ buffs and when enhanced, will also be counted as dealing elemental damage to its target.

Artery Gear: Fusion A Tier Vanguard AGs

With only 5 units considered for our top tier, it certainly becomes difficult to attempt building a full team utilizing only the S-listers. While the next 10 units under the A tier may not fare as well as the top 5 in terms of overall strength and utility, they can be exceptional members of your team in select game modes or perform well enough across most of them. As such, all these units are still very much worth investing resources on, especially if you neglected to reroll early in your adventure and have yet to nab any of the S tier Vanguard AGs.

Chihaya [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 4 ]

PvE: A – PvP: B – R Raid: S G Raid: B – B Raid: S

chihaya artery gear fusion

Though starting off as a 4-star unit from recruitment, Chihaya certainly is a great assault type Vanguard to consider especially if you do not have Sirius in your roster. Not only does she whip out decent damage that banks on critical damage, she can further effectively increase her team’s damage outputs with a Defense Down debuff on enemies. She can also grant herself an extra turn, which is simply a top tier ability in any turn-based strategy RPG.

Kasaya Cut deals 100.7% damage to a single enemy and deals an extra 20% damage if it lands a critical hit. Bloody Flick does 95.4% damage to a single target and extends their debuffs for a round on a critical hit, reducing Chihaya’s skill cooldowns for a round as well. Nitenichiryuu does multiple hits for a total of 144.2% damage as well as Defense Down to a single target for 2 turns. If this lands a critical hit, critical damage will be an extra 50% and when enhanced, will grant Chihaya an extra turn.

Ginga [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: S – PvP: D – R Raid: A G Raid: D – B Raid: B

ginga artery gear fusion

Ginga is often considered as an S tier unit by many players considering her superb damage outputs in most non-raid PvE challenges. While she does an excellent job from early to mid-game, able to carry most teams through the campaign and other basic PvE challenges, she starts to devaluate in end game and performs rather poorly in PvP combat.

Ginga’s Blooming Silver Moon deals 106% damage to a single enemy and carries a 35% chance of causing 2 Shock for 2 rounds. Victorious Aura does 132.5% damage to a target with an 85% chance to inflict Shock for 2 rounds. If the target is successfully shocked, Blooming Silver Moon triggers automatically and when an additional attack is performed, Shock chance is raised to 100%. Shikigami Lord Hakusouzu does 180.2% damage to a single target and each debuff on the target increases damage by 20%.

Hearin [ Class: Healer — Element: Green — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: S – R Raid: C G Raid: A – B Raid: A

hearin artery gear fusion

Hearin is a unit we consider about at par with the 2 healers in the above tier. However, the overabundance of red elemental Assault type units that can prey on her makes her a likely favorite target and may get eliminated ahead of her teammates. With 2 team-wide heals and a single target one that prioritizes the most damaged ally, coupled with cleanse and some action bar boost, she certainly shines in both PvE and PvP challenges.

Hearin’s Impeding Shot deals 106% damage to a single target and restore health equal to 7% of her max HP to the ally with the lowest HP. Restoration Grenade heals all allies worth 30% of Hearin’s max HP and has a cooldown of 3 turns. If enhanced, this provides Heal Over Time for 2 rounds as well, Cleansing the ally with the least HP and boosting their action bar by 35%. Replenishment Request has a 5-turn cooldown and heals everyone for 35% of her max health, advancing her and her allies’ action bars by 50% and 15%, respectively.

Lewisia [ Class: Healer — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: B – PvP: S – R Raid: B G Raid: B – B Raid: C

lewisia artery gear fusion

Lewisia probably won’t be most people’s top pick for their team medic but she does have a skill that revives a fallen ally along with other useful utility skills. She does fairly well in PvE content and her revive ability, despite being slow, is golden in PvP.

Lewisia’s basic skill, Healing Magic, deals 106% damage to a target and heals an ally with the lowest health worth 7% of the ally’s max HP. Purifying Magic damages all enemy units for 84.8% damage, heals allies for 12% of their max health, and removes 2 status ailments as well. An enhanced version has a 60% chance of inflicting Blind on all enemies for 2 rounds. Protection Magic revives a fallen ally and comes with full health restoration as well as invincibility for a turn. All these can be applied to a chosen ally if no one requires resurrection.

milvus artery gear fusion

Milvus [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: A – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: C

Milvus is an attacker best suited for multiple enemies given her 2 active skills that target all of them. She can inflict Blind, has a skill that counts as elemental damage, and can break her enemies’ defense along with a chance of paralyzing them. One common drawback attributable to her is the need for the right set of gear and the challenge of acquiring them.

Milvus’ Raptor Claw deals 106% damage to a single target and has a 50% chance to inflict Blind for 2 rounds. Laceration Cannon does 84.8% damage to all enemies and will reset if an enemy is killed. An enhanced version of this skill counts as elemental damage. Raptor’s Trial deals 111.3% damage to all enemy targets and has a 70% chance to inflict Defense Down and Paralysis for 2 rounds and 1 round, respectively, increasing Milvus’ action bar by 30%.

Nina [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: A – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: D

nina artery gear fusion

Yet another single target specialist, Nina is more like a self-serving unit that has very nice skill synchronicity although does not really provide anything for the rest of her teammates. She already has good damage outputs and can further boost damage numbers with self-buffs. Although her second and third skills basically work for one another, the latter’s dependence on a kill can let her easily lose momentum.

Nina’s Sacred Arclight does 127.2% damage to a single enemy unit and comes with a 50% chance to inflict Buff Block for 2 rounds. Daybreak Form resets the cooldown of her third skill, gives her an extra turn, and an Attack Boost for 2 rounds. An enhanced version also comes with a Critical Damage Buff. Her third skill, Final Daybreak, deals 181.3% damage to a single target and has an increased hit rate of 50%. Killing the target with this skill reduces the cooldown of Daybreak Form by 2 rounds.

Quinn [ Class: Tactical — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: B – R Raid: A G Raid: B – B Raid: A

quinn artery gear fusion

Next to Alice, Quinn is the next best tactical unit to consider for a team without one. She has an Attack Buff as well as a Speed Buff for her allies and can inflict Anti-Heal as well as action bar reduction for her enemies. You cannot expect her to be at par with Assault type units but her value is largely, if not entirely centered on her utility.

Unconventional Cluster does 50.9% damage to all enemies, increasing damage by 0.075% for every 1 unit of speed and has a 25% chance to inflict Anti-Heal for 2 rounds. Battle Command lets Quinn grant an Attack Buff as well as a Speed Buff on allies for 2 rounds. An enhanced version grants her a Greater Speed Buff instead. Guided Missile Stinger does 95.4% damage on all enemies, repelling 20% of their action bar and has an increased damage of 0.075% per point of speed.

Reisalin [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: A – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: C

reisalin artery gear fusion

Reisalin is an overall decent Assault type Vanguard AG that has some utility and survivability to spare. She can do AoE attacks often and you can bank on a lifesteal set to further increase her survivability in support of damage sharing. On the downside, life sharing with an ally may have its own set of risks as well.

Reisalin’s Star Calling does 106% damage to a single enemy with a 50% chance to cause Mark for 2 rounds and ignores Hit status. Alchemist’s Full Power lets the ally in position 1 share damage taken with Reisalin and she gains 20 energy when she or her ally is attacked. Reaching 100 energy consumes all of it and unleashes an AoE attack that deals 79.5% damage with a 50% chance to inflict Defense Down for 2 rounds.

Critical Strikes with the skill deal 20% more damage. Mechanical Quasar lets her earn 60 energy points and inflicts 116.6% damage to all enemy units, inflicting Buff Block and Anti-Heal for 2 rounds. Critical Strike Damage for the skill adds an extra 20%.

Ruri [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 4 ]

PvE: A – PvP: A – R Raid: B G Raid: D – B Raid: C

ruri artery gear fusion

The ability to gain an Extra Turn, in tandem with having an attack that counts as an Elemental Advantage, makes Ruri a force to be reckoned with win both PvE and PvP. Buff Block, Skill Cooldown Reduction, and Attack Buff further increase her value along with active skills that damage multiple targets.

Ruri’s Sword Skill Monsoon deals 106% damage to a single enemy and comes with a 30% chance to inflict Buff Block for 2 rounds. Sword Skill Gust has a 4-turn cooldown and inflicts 85.9% damage against all enemies, counting as having Elemental Advantage. If this skill kills an enemy, it will reduce the cooldown of Ruri’s skills by 1 round. Secret Technique Rampaging Vision deals 101.8% damage to all enemies and when it lands a critical hit to at least 2 enemies, she gains an extra turn and an Attack Buff that lasts for 2 rounds.

Shyura [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: A – R Raid: B G Raid: S – B Raid: C

shyura artery gear fusion

Adding to the list of Red Assault type Vanguard AGs is Shura, who is an attacker that also only sports single target skills, but is comparatively tougher than the general roster of Assault type units. With decent damage numbers along with Attack Down and Defense Down debuffs, Shyura is certainly an all-around great unit to have on teams across most early to mid-game challenges.

Shyura’s Heaven Crusher earns her 15 energy and deals damage equal to 106% Attack and 10.6% max health on an enemy, with a 35% chance of inflicting Defense Down that lasts 2 rounds. This attack cannot be countered in Shura Mode. Triple Armor Shock grants 30 energy points and deals damage equal to 127.2% attack and 10.6% max HP to a single target. This comes with 100% chance of inflicting Defense Down for 2 rounds and, when in Shura Mode, ignores the target’s resistance and grants an extra 30 energy if the target is killed.

The Cycle of Life and Death has a 6-turn cooldown and grants 80 energy points. This cleanses debuffs and lets her enter Shura Mode, dealing damage equal to 143.1% of attack and 28.6% of max HP to a single target and inflict Attack Down for 2 turns. Shura Mode improves skill effects but reduces energy by 15 points, deactivating once energy becomes 0.

Artery Gear: Fusion B Tier Vanguard AGs

At this point, you might already be wondering if the units below the A tier are still worth peeking into. Considering that we have already gone over 15 characters in the above tiers, it is safe to presume that you can build a strong team with those Vanguard AGs, provided of course that you have already recruited them. Of the 5 different class types in Artery Gear: Fusion, none of the 2 types made it to the above tiers. Balanced and Defense type units may not be comparable on a unit-to-unit grading but they can certainly be instrumental to building your ultimate team.

Likewise, the Assault, Tactical, and Healer type units in this tier may pale in direct comparison, but they are also not entirely dismissible. Some units under this tier can either do very well in a game mode or 2 or do averagely in several challenges.

Corax [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 4 ]

PvE: B – PvP: C – R Raid: S G Raid: C – B Raid: B

corax artery gear fusion

Corax is a decent Assault type Vanguard AG whose damage outputs increase with her speed. She can also give herself a Speed Buff as well as Stealth and Barrier and can also inflict Stun on her target. She does not have any AoE attacks, though, and her stun is mostly just useful against normal enemies.

Della [ Class: Defense — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: A – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: B

della artery gear fusion

Defenders may not be a favorite in most challenges in Artery Gear: Fusion but they tend to be crucial in Arena Defense. As a beginner, you may consider your main team or a PvP team to also stand as your defense team in the arena but for experts, a defense team usually consists of different members. Slow, Stun, and Counterattack form part of Della’s kit and her damage output scales with her health, giving her decent damage capabilities as well.

Ghost [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: B – PvP: B – R Raid: A G Raid: C – B Raid: B

ghost artery gear fusion

Ghost may be far from the top pick as your Assault type unit across different game modes in Artery Gear: Fusion but she certainly is far from the other end of the line. To sum it up, she may not be great but she is not bad either. Defense Down, Dispel, and Silence are status additives that form part of her arsenal and she also has a Greater Speed Buff for herself.

Grace [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 3 ]

PvE: A – PvP: B – R Raid: C G Raid: D – B Raid: D

grace artery gear fusion

Grace is yet another Assault type characters that can help you across a variety of PvE content early in your adventure as well as perform decently in the Arena as well. She is simple and straightforward to use and being a 3-star by default makes it relatively easier to strengthen her ahead of others. She is definitely more valuable in the early game than in the late game.

Kagari [ Class: Tactical — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: B – PvP: C – R Raid: S G Raid: S – B Raid: C

kagari artery gear fusion

Kagari is among the Vanguard AGs we consider well-rounded enough, whose action bar control proves very useful in both PvE and PvP content. Kagari shines the most against the Red Raid Boss and Green Raid Boss especially when she is able to cycle her skills to its max potential and lessesn the instances of the enemies’ turns.

Klaudia [ Class: Tactical — Element: Green — Star: 5 ]

PvE: B – PvP: A – R Raid: C G Raid: B – B Raid: A

klaudia artery gear fusion

Klaudia can be your go-to Vanguard AG if you prefer to bank on dispels and ensure that enemies never get to enjoy having buffs on them. On top of removing buffs, which is very useful across almost every challenge you come across, she comes pack with action bar repel as well as defense down. She can also boost her action bar, further increasing the speed buff between your team and the enemy team.

Maika [ Class: Defense — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: B – R Raid: B G Raid: C – B Raid: A

maika alice artery gear fusion

Another Defense type unit, Maika is a relatively simple and straightforward unit that has stun, action bar advancement for allies, as well as Attack Buff for allies as supplements. She will potentially be far from the best choices of characters in PvE but is a decent candidate for PvP as well as some Raids.

Roko [ Class: Tactical — Element: Green — Star: 3 ]

PvE: A – PvP: D – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: A

roko artery gear fusion

Looking at Roko’s kit, you will see that her skills center around Corrosion. Corrosion is basically the equivalent of poison damage in other strategy RPGs, slowly chipping damage away from enemies between rounds. This, paired with increased damage on afflicted enemies, as well as an Extra Turn chance for herself, makes her a very useful candidate for teams in the early part of your adventure as well as a decent unit for Raids.

Suriel [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: A – PvP: B – R Raid: B G Raid: C – B Raid: B

suriel artery gear fusion

The Burn Specialist, Suriel, has Burn effect status added to her every attack and also has an AoE skill that can inflict the status on all her enemies. For an Assault type Vanguard AG, her ability to restore some health to allies and advance her own action bar makes her a common consideration to take on Ginga’s role on the team.

Teufel [ Class: Balanced — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: B – PvP: B – R Raid: C G Raid: B – B Raid: D

teufel artery gear fusion

Teufel is an all-rounder unit that has decent damage outputs as well as some survivability thanks to her ability to heal herself. She can earn attack boosts from getting hit, a low chance for an extra turn, and an attack buff that comes with a stun chance.

Verbena [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 4 ]

PvE: B – PvP: B – R Raid: A G Raid: D – B Raid: B

verbena artery gear fusion

Although an Assault type unit, Verbena’s potential centers around cutting down the enemy’s defenses with a Defense Down that can hit 1 enemy as well as another one that strikes the whole team. She certainly shines when under her Power State self-buff but without it, hardly becomes noticeable.

Artery Gear: Fusion C Tier Vanguard AGs

Further down the line are our C Tier considerations for Vanguard AGs. The previous tier placers only make up about a third of the game’s entire roster and this tier makes up about another third. Although these units are still ahead of the ones we considered in our last tier, we would rather recommend that you take a good look on the above characters before considering to spend time and resources on these units below.

Again, just because they are on the lower tier does not necessarily make these units poorly made or perform badly in general. It is just that there are some better alternatives who can make your life easier. If you happen to have some of the characters here or the next tier, then at least think twice between investing resources on them or other characters in the higher tiers that practically serve the same purpose.

04 [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: C – R Raid: D G Raid: C – B Raid: D

04 artery gear fusion

04 has 2 skills that target multiple enemies and has an array of skill effects that further increase her damage numbers. She can inflict Burn, advance her own action bar, as well as reduce a skill cooldown for her skill. She is an okay unit to take on PvE and PvP challenges but is hardly a good choice in Red and Blue Raids.

Acacia [ Class: Defense — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: B – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: D

acacia artery gear fusion

Acacia may not be a typical unit you would like to bring along for PvE as well as both Red and Blue Raids but she can be a decent pick for a Defense team in the Arena. She can increase the team’s survivability by taking a bit from the damage they take, can inflict Stun and Blind on enemies, and provide a Defense Buff for allies as well as give herself temporary invulnerability.

Angelica [ Class: Balanced — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: D – PvP: C – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: B

angelica artery gear fusion

Angelica is all about providing support skills for her allies. She can Dispel a buff from an enemy, inflict Defense Down, and most importantly, can advance her team’s action bar while repelling the enemy team’s. Manipulating action bars is a great skill to have, but Angelica’s base speed is what makes her unable to pierce through higher tiers.

Benny [ Class: Balanced — Element: Green — Star: 5 ]

PvE: C – PvP: B – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: B

benny artery gear fusion

Benny specializes in removing buffs from enemies with practically every skill in her arsenal. Her potential rests on probabilities of launching follow-up attacks, counterattacks, and dual attacks. She can also grant her allies an Attack Boost and can further increase damage outputs against enemies that have no buffs on them.

Caroline [ Class: Tactical — Element: Blue — Star: 3 ]

PvE: C – PvP: C – R Raid: B G Raid: B – B Raid: B

caroline artery gear fusion

Caroline is a unique Vanguard AG that specializes in skill cooldown reduction for herself and her allies. Skill 2 has a chance of triggering skill 1 and the latter reduces all her skills’ cooldowns. Ultimately, her skill 3 can reduce an ally’s skill cooldown by 3 rounds and even give herself an extra turn. What she offers is actually pretty neat but still dependent on who you team her up with.

Cathy [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: D

cathy artery gear fusion

Cathy is an Assault type unit specializing in inflicting Shock on targets. Shock works very much like Burn effects but has lower damage outputs. She can dispel a buff from a target, has a very low chance of performing a follow-up attack, prolong debuffs, and detonate shock debuffs as well.

Dean [ Class: Defense — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: C – R Raid: D G Raid: C – B Raid: C

dean artery gear fusion

Dean feels a bit awkward to utilize as she is a Tanky Defender who seems to only be able to boost her own defense. Her ability to Provoke would be appreciated if it had a higher chance of being triggered and her third skill can surprisingly lead her to inflicting damage numbers beyond even Assault type units.

Diancht [ Class: Healer — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: B

diancht artery gear fusion

Diancht is a healer who can inflict stun on her enemies, cleanse an ally, and even provide random buffs on her allies or the whole team. While random buffs are certainly appreciated, the “random” element of these buffs can make team strategy a big challenge. Randomness does not just impact what kind of buff allies earn, but it also leaves a chance for having a single buff or a pair.

Foxy [ Class: Tactical — Element: Blue — Star: 3 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: C G Raid: C – B Raid: C

foxy artery gear fusion

As a Tactical unit specializing in lowering enemy defense and capitalizing on critical strikes, Foxy can be considered a decent unit to work with, although challenging. A Crit Up buff for all allies may be less useful than other team buffs and but the potential extra damage from her own buff, coupled with Defense Down and Stun chance is okay.

Goya [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: D

goya artery gear fusion

Goya is an attacker that can inflict Burn, Anti-Heal, and even Defense Down on her enemies. While her Attack Buff for herself sounds nice, we are not a fan of how she needs to be attacked for it to trigger and that it triggers only once every 3 rounds. Additionally, her base speed is below average, and speed is essential in any turn-based team combat.

Gray [ Class: Balanced — Element: Red — Star: 3 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: B G Raid: B – B Raid: D

gray artery gear fusion

Gray has a lot of tricks up her sleeve including Anti-Heal, Action Bar Reduction, and even Attack Down on all enemy units. What we cannot appreciate much is her ability to provoke enemies, considering her defense stats are not even at par with some Balanced type units in the game.

Greer [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 3 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: C G Raid: B – B Raid: D

greer artery gear fusion

Greer can add more damage numbers to her and her allies’ attacks by Inflicting defense Down and Corrosion on a single enemy unit. Her passive that grants bonus attack based on the enemy’s max HP is okay but it takes a while to become noticeable and her base attack seems to be below average to begin with as a means of balancing her out. She is good for the long game but there are certainly better alternatives.

Kanna [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 3 ]

PvE: B – PvP: D – R Raid: C G Raid: D – B Raid: C

kanna artery gear fusion

A speed-scaling attacker, Kanna does decent damage depending on how much is invested on her Speed stat. She can inflict Blind on an enemy unit, has Evasion and Stealth, and can even reduce the cooldown of her skills. Despite having an increased evasion rate, though, defense is a huge issue for Kanna and keeping her alive can become a challenge without the proper support units.

Komachi [ Class: Healer — Element: Red — Star: 3 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: B G Raid: A – B Raid: D

komachi artery gear fusion

Komachi is a decent healer that can Cleanse a debuff, provide Heal Over Time to an ally, as well as provide a heal for her whole party that comes with a Speed Buff and Defense Buff. Being a 3-star unit, it is relatively easy to make her stronger but just like most other units in this tier, the presence of better healers just puts her on a lower tier.

Kurumi [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: C – R Raid: C G Raid: B – B Raid: D

kurumi artery gear fusion

Kurumi might seem attractive for beginners considering her overall kit, especially her passive, which gives her temporary invulnerability. However, having immortality following a fatal hit that can only trigger once every 9 rounds is almost as good as a one-time use and an attack that is inversely proportional to her health, coupled with being able to dispel buffs on enemies doesn’t cut it for her to go up above this tier.

Lydia [ Class: Balanced — Element: Green — Star: 5 ]

PvE: C – PvP: C – R Raid: D G Raid: C – B Raid: B

lydia artery gear fusion

As a Balanced type unit, Lydia’s ability to heal herself is a good plus in our book, especially coupled with a chance to inflict Attack Down on her target. However, having her third skill starting out at max cooldown, which is 6 turns, is a huge turnoff even if her passive ability can reduce it following certain conditions.

Michelle [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 5 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: C G Raid: B – B Raid: D

michelle artery gear fusion

Michelle further adds damage potential to her attacks by inflicting a Burn status on enemies. She can provide an Attack Buff to her allies and even advance her own action bar but how her kit plays out has much dependence on probabilities and her third skill has a 6 turn cooldown to begin with.

Neisa [ Class: Healer — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: B

neisa artery gear fusion

Probably one of the most unconventional healers around, Neisa heals allies based on the damage she inflicts, making her perhaps as the only healer whose attack matters more than defense or HP. On top of having a single target and AoE heal, she can also grant an ally invincibility for a turn, give herself an Attack Buff, as well as an extra turn.

Nemophila [ Class: Defense — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: B – PvP: C – R Raid: D G Raid: C – B Raid: C

nemophila artery gear fusion

As a Defense unit, Nemophila focuses on the role of being a full tank for her team with Provoke, Barrier, a very small Heal, a Defense Buff for herself, and even Blind for her enemies. Although she sounds promising on paper, a Barrier that depends on her allies’ own defense values certainly will not be much reliable and while her superb Defense capabilities are appreciated for her own sake, a Provoke ability that depends on chance will not provide much survivability for the rest of her team.

Nio [ Class: Balanced — Element: Blue — Star: 3 ]

PvE: B – PvP: C – R Raid: B G Raid: D – B Raid: B

nio artery gear fusion

As one of the main protagonists of Artery Gear: Fusion, players really won’t expect much from Nio, especially those who have played a ton of other turn-based strategy games before. In truth, Nio is a decent all-arounder and comes with a good mix of skills. Defense Buff, Defense Down, Provoke, Barrier, and Attack Buff form part of her kit. Again, while what she offers is not bad at all, more specialized units are proven to be better choices across most game modes in your adventure.

Phantom [ Class: Assault — Element: Green — Star: 5 ]

PvE: C – PvP: B – R Raid: D G Raid: C – B Raid: C

phantom artery gear fusion

Phantom stands as yet another straightforward Assault type unit whose damage scales to her Speed stat and impacts multiple targets. She grants herself an Attack Buff as well as an extra attack whenever she kills an enemy through Soul Collector as well as an action bar increase following a succeeding kill with the skill. While her damage outputs, especially against groups of enemies are concerned, however, damage is basically all she has to offer.

Rosemary [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 4 ]

PvE: B – PvP: D – R Raid: A G Raid: A – B Raid: C

rosemary artery gear fusion

Rosemary is an Assault type unit that can strip buffs off of her target. Additionally, she can reduce her target’s action bar if they have no present buff and her third skill also grants her an Attack Buff and a Speed Buff. While her kit is not bad at all, the absence of an AoE attack as well as the lack of effects in support of her team leaves her on this tier.

Senha [ Class: Assault — Element: Green — Star: 4 ]

PvE: B – PvP: C – R Raid: D G Raid: B – B Raid: B

senha artery gear fusion

Senha is the type of attacker that grows stronger the more damage she takes. She can boost her own speed, increase her action bar, and even heal herself and has both single target attack and an AoE one. Going for or maintaining a certain level of health to maximize damage may have its risks, and Senha is not as tough in higher level challenges to have her taking damage just for the extra skill boosts.

Shinobu [ Class: Assault — Element: Blue — Star: 5 ]

PvE: B – PvP: B – R Raid: C G Raid: D – B Raid: C

shinomu artery gear fusion

While Senha performs better when her own HP goes lower, Shinobu draws more power against enemies who have a bigger percentage of the max HP lost. She can work as a cleaver by launching an AoE attack that trigger following certain conditions. She can inflict Shock and Paralyze and can also steal an enemy’s buff. With one skill requirement requiring a kill for it to trigger and another that initiates on a target with less than 50% health on her turn, the conditions she needs to meet to perform AoE attacks can be a challenge on its own.

Shinonome [ Class: Assault — Element: Red — Star: 3 ]

PvE: C – PvP: D – R Raid: C G Raid: B – B Raid: D

shinonome artery gear fusion

Shinonome is certainly a peculiar Assault type unit who passively is unable to perform critical attacks. This is not much of a weakness, though as every point on her Crit Rate and Crit Damage leads to an increase in her attack. Her passive also gives her a good Crit Resistance Rate. Her attacks that come with Burn and Attack Down are especially useful in the Green Raid.

Timy [ Class: Tactical — Element: Red — Star: 3 ]

PvE: D – PvP: B – R Raid: C G Raid: C – B Raid: C

timy artery gear fusion

Yet another simple and straightforward character, Timy’s basic attack comes with an increase based on her Speed. Her passive lets her evade the first attack she receives and has a good chance of evading attacks after every 2 rounds. She can also tremendously boost her allies’ action bars and may lead the team to make the first move in combat. While evasion can contribute to her survivability, her defense makes it so that it can be relatively easy to eliminate her if she does get hit.

Artery Gear: Fusion D Tier Vanguard AGs

With 52 characters up the line, there are surely more than enough candidates for you to build your ultimate team along with secondary teams that are focused on specific tasks at hand. While we want to be firm on our consideration that no such characters are completely useless in any game, it cannot be helped that some will simply have something less favorable to offer.

The units in tier D are the ones we consider as units that you should not invest on at all. However, it can happen that future updates to Artery Gear: Fusion in terms of added content and/or character rebalancing may shift some characters from one tier to the next.
