Another Eden Tier List (2021 Update): Our Picks for the Best Heroes in the Game

More than 2 years following its global launch, Another Eden remains to be among the top-ranking mobile RPGs on Android and iOS platforms. With well over a million downloads from the Google Play Store alone and maintaining largely positive average user review ratings from users on both mobile platforms, the charm of old school JRPG mixed in with anime-styled graphics and simple enough gameplay has made Another Eden a captivating adventure for beginners and experienced players alike.

Another Eden has come a long way since its launch, continuously expanding its world especially as far as the roster of characters go. If you have just started diving into Another Eden’s world and need to jumpstart on your progression, then we recommend that you read our Another Eden beginner’s guide. While the beginner’s guide offers plenty of useful tips and strategies to help you earn Chrono Stones faster and unlock and upgrade more heroes, our Another Eden advanced guide contains boss battle strategies and tactics to help you ace all the story mode content.

One of the most challenging decisions you will continuously encounter in Another Eden involves choosing from among your growing roster of characters which ones to invest in. Although we have already presented a tier list showcasing the best attackers and support characters in Another Eden 2 years ago, we will be outlining a more expansive tier list that covers the best heroes today, or at least the ones we perceive to be at the top of the ranks.

Another Eden hosts an enormous and still growing number of characters players can collect and upgrade. With the game’s unique feature of each hero having customizable weapons and skills certainly brings a lot on the table although each character’s personal Manifest Weapon heavily impacts their proficiency in combat. Heroes can be built differently, making it a little challenging but all the more exciting to build cohesive teams for various challenges.

Like all other tier lists we have published, this one is again expectedly subjective. As every player will have their own standards and preferences as far as judging a character’s value is concerned, we expect and likewise respect distinguished opinions on our tier list.

Compared to conventional tier lists we created, though, each of the characters in this guide are all worth investing into. It just so happens that some heroes naturally outshine others making it necessary to classify them under tiers. As far as arrangement is concerned, heroes listed under each tier are presented alphabetically and are considered equal to all other heroes within the same tier.

Another Eden S Tier Heroes

Deirdre [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Deirdre combines attacks that reduce earth elemental resistance and attacks that deal earth elemental damage. She has buffs that tremendously boost her power at the cost of reducing her HP. Her passive abilities include boosting water resistance as well as resistances all status effects. Her Valor Chant reduces physical resistance and speed of all enemies.

Felmina [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Felmina’s slash attacks inflict poison on the enemy and boost her power and she has a blunt attack that can reduce the target’s blunt resistance. She also has a wind elemental blunt attack that can stun her target and a buff that can boost her own physical resistance and speed. Her passive skills include an earth elemental resistance boost as well as resistance against all status effects. Her Valor Chant can reduce the blunt resistance and speed of all enemies.

Myrus (Another Style) [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Myrus (AS) has a wide range of earth elemental attacks including an AoE one. Her single target damage attacks either boost the physical resistance of her team or reduce the earth elemental resistance of the target. She can restore her tam’s HP as well and boost their physical and water elemental resistance. Passive skills grant her resistances form all status effects and water type attacks. Her Valor Chant reduces the earth elemental resistance of enemies and deals magic type damage randomly on them as well.

Myunfa [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Myunfa has an AoE non-elemental blunt attack that can stun enemies as well as earth elemental attacks that can reduce the target’s power. She can restore MP to the party, remove negative status effects on them, and even boost their critical rate. She has a boost on water resistance and all statuses from her passive. Her Valor Chant boosts the critical damage of the party and its earth zone effects provide various buffs that include additional skill effects for specific heroes as well as added effects to some of her skills.

Renri (Another Style) [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Renri (AS) has a fire elemental slash attack that can reduce the enemy’s slash resistance, has an AoE slash attack, and a self-buff that grants her 100% to non-elemental slash attacks. Her passives boost wind elemental resistance as well as all status resistance. Her Valor Chant can boost the fire type attacks of the party and increase her speed as well.

Veina (Another Style) [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

This version of Veina inflicts wind type attacks on enemies, can reduce their physical resistance, and can even induce sleep. She can boost the physical resistance of the party as well as their earth type resistance. She has increased earth elemental resistance and resistance from all status thanks to her passive and can also increase the team’s intelligence if Wind King Stance is activated. Her Valor Chant activates Wind King Stance, unlocking various effects and boosts the speed of her allies as well.

Yipha [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Yipha can stun enemies, reduce a target’s power and intelligence, and provide healing to her team that can come with physical resistance boosts as well as restoring their statuses. Passives grant earth type and status resistances and when in Roaring Bash Stance, she can increase damage from fists and hammers. Her Valor Chant activates Roaring Bash Stance, opening a variety of special effects as well as skill effects of specific characters. This also boosts the critical damage of her allies.

Another Eden A Tier Heroes

Cynthia [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Cynthia has elemental attacks that adapt to the current stance or zone, boosting the elemental attacks of her allies as well. She has an AoE slash attack, can reduce the power of her enemies, and boost the speed of her allies while reducing the earth elemental resistance of her enemies. Her passive grant her resistance from earth type attacks and status effects. Her Valor Chant boosts the power and intelligence of the team.

Dunarith [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Dunarith can cast an AoE magic attack on enemies and at the same time increase the speed of his allies. He has numerous skills that can restore HP to the team as well grant them buffs such as critical rate boosts, increase wind type attacks, boost resistances, and even remove status effects. Passives give him more earth elemental resistance in addition to all status resistance. His Valor Chant decreases the intelligence of enemies and cleanses allies from negative status effects.

Elga [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Elga can slash an enemy and at the same time boost his speed or inflict pain or stun on the target. He has a self-buff that boosts his power and physical resistance. His passives grant him water elemental resistance on top of the usual status resistance. Elga’s Valor Chant boosts the physical resistance of his allies and at the same time reduces the power of all enemies.

Hardy [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Hardy has a fire type piercing attack that can stun all enemies. He has blunt attacks that boost wind resistance of allies, reduce the enemy’s fire resistance, or reduce the target’s physical resistance. He has increased wind resistance and all status resistance and can increase the critical rate and critical damage of his allies in Raging Fire Stance. His Valor Chant initiates Raging Fire Stance, boosting the physical resistance of his allies.

Laclair (Another Style) [Element: Water – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Laclair’s attacks can reduce the physical resistance of her targetand she has an AoE attack that can inflict power reduction as well. Her passives provide status resistance and increased fire elemental resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts the power of all her allies.

Nagi (Another Style) [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Nagi has various slash attacks that vary in power and inflict different effects as well like slash resistance reduction, earth elemental damage reduction, stun, pain, and even self-HP recovery. Her passives boost all status resistance and water resistance. Her Valor Chant can boost her own power tremendously.

Philo [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Philo has an AoE attack that can restore HP to allies. He has single slash attacks as well that boost the damage of fellow ax wielders or water type skill users. He can boost resistance of all party members as well as regenerate their MP. His passives grant him fire resistance and all status resistance as well. Philo’s Valor Chant can boost the power and resistance of allies.

Radias [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Radias has numerous AoE fire elemental atatcks, some of which damages her as well. She can boost type resistances of allies and inflict rage as well. She can also inflict pain on all enemies and restore her HP in the process. Passives grant her increased wind resistance and status resistance. In Dazzling Slash Stance, she can boost sword, axe, and katana damage. Her Valor Chant initiates Dazzling Slash Stance, further adding effects to some skills, inflicting slash resistance reduction on enemies, and inflicting rage as well.

Shannon (Another Style) [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Shannon has single target slash attacks that can stun the target, reduce their slash resistance, or reduce their wind elemental resistance. She also has an AoE attack that can inflict sleep on enemies. Passives give her earth elemental and all status resistance as well. Her Valor Chant is a wind type AoE attack that reduces the enemies’ physical resistance.

Suzette [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Suzette has AoE attacks that poison all enemies as well as a single target attack that restores her HP. Her passive grant all status and earth elemental resistance. Suzette’s Valor Chant Boosts both power and intelligence of her allies.

Suzette (Another Style) [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

This version of Suzette still has a good mix of single target and AoE attacks, inflicting posion in some and restoring her HP in one. She has the same passive abilities as the normal style. Her Valor Chant exclusively boosts the power of allies but in bigger amounts.

Tiramisu [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Tiramisu has active skills that grant her a Dragon Origin stack, adding various effects on her other skills. She can also reduce the enemies’ speed and earth resistance. In addition to water elemental resistance and the usual passive, Tiramisu’s Dragon Origin reduces the MP costs of her skills. Her Valor Chant boosts the power and physical resistance of her allies.

Toova (Another Style) [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Toova (AS) has a self buff that boosts her intelligence tremendously at the cost of sacrificing HP. This amplifies all her magic attacks, some of which n turn can restore her HP. She can also inflict poison on a target. Passives boost her water resistance and all status resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts water resistance of allies.

Yuna (Another Style) [Element: None, Water – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Yuna can regen her team’s HP and remove negative status effects on them. She has numerous AoE attacks. She can reduce the enemies’ power and physical resistance or reduce their intelligence and type resistance as well. On top of the all status and fire type resistance boosts for passive skills, Her Sacred Water Stance can also restore her team’s HP. Her Valor Chant activates Sacred Water Stance, adding effects to her skills as well as skills of specific teammates. This also boosts the speed of her allies.

Another Eden B Tier Heroes

Cerrine [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Cerrine has non-elemental piercing attacks that can inflict stun or pain on its target. She has a couple of earth elemental piercing attacks that boost her own power and speed as well. Passives give her increased all status resistance and water elemental resistance. Her Valor Chant grants an increase in the team’s power and speed.

Claude (Another Style) [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Claude (AS) has attacks that can reduce the enemy’s power and intelligence, an AoE attack that can regen HP for his team, and a buff that boosts the team’s intelligence and speed. On top of the usual passive resistances, Claude’s Wind King Stance will boost the power of all party members. His Valor Chant activates Wind King Stance and reduces the enemies’ physical resistance. Wind King Stance enhances some of his skills as well as skills of specific heroes in the team.

Dewey [Element: Water – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Each of Dewey’s attacks has an added effect like reducing the target’s speed and intelligence, reducing blunt resistance, inflicting sleep, or lowering water resistance. He can also buff his team, boosting their power and water attack skills. Passives grant him all status resistance and fire resistance. His Valor Chant reduces the enemies’ intelligence and water resistance.

Ewan [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Ewan has blunt attacks that can boost his power as well as a single target attack that can reduce the target’s fire resistance. He also has an AoE attack that can inflict stun on the enemies. His passives include all status resistance increase and wind resistance boost. Ewan’s Valor Chant boosts the team’s power and intelligence.

Gariyu [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Gariyu sports a couple of AoE fire elemental attacks and a single target attack that reduce the enemy’s power and poison them. He can also provide a buff on allies to increase their physical resistance and their wind elemental resistance. Passives give him an all status resistance increase and wind resistance. His valor chant can reduce the fire resistance of all enemies.

Gariyu (Another Style) [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

This version of Gariyu works much like the previous one but has a raging fire stance. For passives, his Raging Fire Stance boosts his own fire type attacks. His Valor Chant activates the Raging Fire Stance, enabling some skills to stack Dragon Fire on him and increase his damage outputs. His Valor Chant also reduces the speed of all enemies.

Hismena [Element: Water – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Hismena has a lot of added effects in her attacks, which may include an increased critical rate for her, a physical resistance boost for allies, or even a power reduction for her target. Passives grant her fire resistance and al status resistance boosts. Her Valor Chant deals AoE damage on enemies and reduces their physical resistance.

Isuka (Another Style) [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Isuka has a single target slash attack that can reduce the target’s speed and inflict pain, a slash attack that reduces the target’s slash resistance, and a buff that boosts both power and speed of her allies. Passive increase her all status resistance and earth elemental resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts her team’s speed and physical resistance.

Kikyo [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Kikyo jhas wind type slash attacks that scale damage with her speed and slash atatcks as well that increase her speed. She also has an AoE debuff that can reduce her enemies’ intelligence and inflict poison on them.

Mana [Element: None – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Mana provides all sorts of buffs for her team, debuffs for enemies, and also naturally comes with regen for her party. Physical resistance boost, MP recovery, power boost, intelligence boost, and speed boost are just some of the benefits she can provide. Her Valor Chant reduces MP consumption of her allies.

Mariel [Element: None, Wind – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Mariel can recover her team’s health and can also restore their statuses. She can also increase the team’s speed and type resistance. Passives give her increased earth elemental resistance and all status resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts the type resistance of the team.

Mighty (Another Style) [Element: Water – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Mighty (AS) has an AoE water type magic attack as well as single target attacks that can inflict sleep, reduce the target’s physical resistance, or reduce their speed and stun them. He can also buff allies with an increased physical resistance and fire elemental resistance. His passives grant him increased fire resistance and all status resistance. His Valor Chant reduces the intelligence of all enemies.

Nikeh (Another Style) [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Nikeh can inflict sleep, poison, or reduced water resistance on an enemy. She has an AoE attack as well that inflicts pain on enemies. Her passives include all status resistance and fire type resistance increases. Her Valor Chant reduces her enemies’ power and intelligence.

Premaya [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Premaya has attacks that can reduce both the enemy’s slash resistance and piercing resistance and an attack that cuts down the target’s intelligence. She can also buff allies with an increased physical resistance and MP regen and buff them to boost water type resistance, giving her a counter skill when she is hit with a physical attack. Her passives give herm all status resistance and water type resistance. Her Valor Chant boost all part member’s power and reduces the physical resistance of all enemies.

Renri [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Renri has non-elemental slash atatcks that can inflict pain on its target. She has a fire type slash attack that reduces the enemy’s slash resistance as well. She also has a self-buff that boosts her none type physical attacks. Renri has all status resistance and wind type resistance as passive skills. Her Valor Chant boosts the power of all her allies.

Shanie [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Shanie has slash attacks that can reduce the target’s water resistance, their physical resistance, and an AoE attack that can inflict stun on the enemies. She also has an attack that boosts her own power. Passives give her all status resistance and fire resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts both power and intelligence of her allies.

Shanie (Another Style) [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Shane (AS) works almost the same way but with skills that earn her Teals, further increasing her skill’s damage and critical damage. In this version, her Valor Chant increases her allies’ critical rate.

Sophia [Element: None, Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Sophia provides a wide variety of buffs for her allies including physical and type resistance boosts, power and water type attack boosts, and even max HP boosts and regen. She can also debuff enemies, reducing their power and inflicting poison on them and she has an AoE attack that can inflict sleep on enemies. Her passive give her the usual all status resistance and fire type resistance but a one time immunity from death. Her Valor Chant restores HP to her allies.

Yuna [Element: None, Water – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Yuna can inflict megapoison to all enemies, can reduce their power and physical resistance, and can also reduce their intelligence and type resistance. She can heal or regen allies along with status restoration. Her passive abilities give her fire resistance and all status resistance. Her Valor Chant reduces all enemies’ type resistance and restores all status to allies.

Another Eden C Tier Heroes

Akane (Another Style) [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Akane (AS) can stun her target and can boost her own fire type attacks and speed. Her Divine Circle Slash stacks Yaksha’s Heart on her, boosting her damage capabilities further. Her passives include wind type resistance and all status resistance. Akane’s Valor Chant boosts her own power and speed.

Anabel [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Anabel has a slash attack that can reduce the target’s power and inflict rage. She has a buff that can increase her party’s physical resistance and boost their HP as well as a buff that increases type resistance and grant them regen. Her passives give her all status resistance increase and fire type resistance boost. Her Valor Chant boosts the team’s physical resistance.

Anabel (Another Style) [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Anabel (AS) still has the original Anabel’s skills but has Aegir Saber, which can launch Sacred Water Stance, initiating a wide array of skill enhancements for her and some allies. When in Sacred Water Stance, allies receive a type resistance boost. Her Valor Chant reduces MP consumption of allies and restores their statuses.

Azami [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Azami can reduce her enemy’s wind type resistance and can also stun them. Her passive abilities give her increased earth type resistance and all status resistance as well. Her Valor Chant reduces the intelligence of all enemies.

Bertrand [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Piercing – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Bertrand can inflict rage on his enemy and has an AoE debuff that can reduce their power while inflicting a stun on them. He also has a self-buff that gives him a physical resistance boost. His passives grant him all status resistance and water type resistance boosts. His Valor Chant increases the physical resistance of his allies and inflicts rage on his enemies.

Biaka [Element: Wind – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Biaka has attacks that can reduce the enemy’s wind type resistance. She has an AoE attack that can stun enemies as well. She can boost her own power and speed and has an attack that can increase her wind elemental damage. Her passives give her all status resistance and earth type resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts the power of his allies and reduces the intelligence of her enemies.

Lokido [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Lokido has blunt attacks that reduces the blunt resistance of his target and stun them. He also has an attack that can reduce the target’s earth type resistance and an AoE attack that can stun all enemies. His passives give him all status resistance and water resistance. His Valor Chant reduces the power and physical resistance of all enemies.

Lokido (Another Style) [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Lokido (AS) works almost the same way but now has his Heavenly Impact attach Fearless Fortitude to to all enemies, providing more opportunities for higher damage outputs. His passive abilities now include a one-time revival of sorts. His Valor Chant boosts his earth type attacks.

Mariel (Another Style) [Element: None, Wind – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Mariel (AS) comes packed with various buffs along with healing for her allies. She can boost her allies’ speed and restore all their statuses, she can boost their type resistance, and can even revive a fallen ally. Her Valor Chant restores HP to her allies and boost their intelligence as well.

Melina [Element: Water – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Melina can stun her enemy, can reduce their physical resistance, can reduce both their power and speed, and can boost her allies’ power as well. Passives give her increased fire resistance and all status resistance. Her Valor Chant reduces the blunt resistance and water elemental resistance of enemies.

Myrus [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Myrus’ attacks can boost the physical resistance of allies and their water type resistance. She can reduce an enemy’s earth type resistance as well and has a medium team HP restoration skill. Her passives give her all status resistance and water type resistance. Myrus’ Valor Chant increases the intelligence of her allies and boosts their physical resistance as well.

Rosetta [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Magic – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Rosetta can boost the intelligence of her allies and restore their status. She has an AoE HP recovery that comes with a physical resistance boost for her team. She can boost the team’s fire type attacks and give them increased type resistance with it. Her passives increase all status resistance and wind type resistance. Her Valor Chant boosts fire type attacks of allies.

Tsubame [Element: Earth – Attack Type: Blunt – Light/Shadow Type: Light]

Tsubame has AoE attacks that reduce her enemies’ earth type resistance. She can inflict stun on a single target as well. She has an AoE attack that boosts the earth type attacks of her allies and she can boost her own power and speed. Passive abilities give her increased all status resistance and increased water type resistance. Tsubame’s Valor Chant boosts her allies’ speed and reduce all enemies’ power.

Tsukiha [Element: Fire – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Tsukiha has attacks that reduce her enemy’s fire type resistance. She can also boost her own critical rate with an attack. She has a mass debuff that can reduce the physical resistance of all her enemies at the cost of decreasing her HP. Tsukiha has wind type resistance and all status resistance for passives. Her valor chant reduces her enemies’ slash resistance and fire type resistance.

Zeviro [Element: Water – Attack Type: Slash – Light/Shadow Type: Shadow]

Zeviro attacks enemies and stacks dread on them, adding additional effects to some of his skills. He can reduce an enemy’s slash resistance, inflict them pain, inflict stun, and even has an AoE debuff that reduces both power and intelligence. Passives grant him fire type resistance and all status resistance. Additionally, he stacks 1 dread on all enemies at the start of battle if the unit is in front, and dread reduces the enemy’s physical resistance per stack. Zeviro’s Valor Chant also stacks dread on all enemies and reduces both their power and intelligence.

There are certainly a lot more incredible heroes in Another Eden that we have no yet considered but, for now, this concludes our Another Eden 2021 Tier List. As Another Eden continues to provide new characters, or new styles for existing characters, and makes new manifests for characters available gradually as well. As expected, tier lists will be bound to change more often in Another Eden than in other games.
