Tsuki Adventure 2 Beginner’s Guide: Tips, Tricks & Strategies to Uncover the Secrets of the World

Picture this: you’re sitting in your home enjoying a delicious bar of chocolate. It’s your favorite flavor, after all, made all the more sumptuous by a nice cup of tea on the table. You open the wrapping of the chocolate bar and find a pleasant surprise: there’s a ticket inside! You fish out this unexpected ticket and discover that it’s for an unlimited flight to anywhere in the world. Would you pass off this amazing chance to travel? Surely not!

No, no, this isn’t an alternate universe of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is Tsuki Adventure 2!

Fresh off the oven from HyperBeard, released in November 2023, Tsuki Adventure 2 is a direct sequel to Tsuki Adventure and comes after Tsuki’s Odyssey. In the first game, we find the lovable but somewhat disillusioned rabbit Tsuki heading for Mushroom Village to embark on a journey of self-discovery while leaving the tiresome grind of the city.

In Mushroom Village, Tsuki makes friends and learns what it’s like to take a backseat and appreciate life in a quaint village. In Tsuki Adventure 2, he has the chance to go on a new adventure with this unlimited flight ticket, leaving Mushroom Village to broaden his horizons and see the world.

In the beginning of Tsuki Adventure 2, Tsuki bids his friends Moca, Pipi, and Chi farewell before hopping on a plane and landing in Ola. This is generally where the tutorial begins and you’re introduced to the different places in Ola that you can explore. Each location has its own set of non-playable characters (NPCs) with whom you can interact. NPCs can change depending on the time of day in the game’s universe.

For instance, at the Pottery Store, you’ll be able to meet Dogo during the day but come nighttime, Angel will be the one keeping shop and that’s the only time you can talk to her. Some other characters may be present or change locations depending on what time of day it is.

In this expanded world of Tsuki Adventure 2, you can access a map and see all the places you can travel to, with a total of five different regions at the moment. These are:

  • Ola
  • Lake Taho
  • Sapphire Bay
  • Aris
  • Hirago

In each region, you’ll be able to discover a variety of friends, fish, and bugs, as well as collect diary entries chronicling Tsuki’s new experiences. As a newcomer to the game, you’ll start in Ola, which will largely be the focus of our beginner’s guide for Tsuki Adventure 2. When you reach other regions, you’ll be able to experience new things, meet new friends, and progress the story in a way that’s unique to that area. Suffice it that, for now, Ola will be our focus and the rest of the other regions will be something you can discover on your own.

Hola, Ola!

Before moving onto the guide proper, allow us to give you a brief look at the areas you can explore in Ola and what you can do there:

tsuki adventure 2 ola
  • Ola Airport: This is where you can travel via a helicopter. Keep in mind that it takes around two days to actually get a plane ticket, so you’ll be hanging around Ola for quite some time. Take this opportunity to explore Ola as there’s much to do and more than a handful of folks to meet!
  • Town Center: Perhaps the most important venue in this area is the Market, which is where you can meet Galo, the store owner. Here, you can buy and sell items such as fish, bugs, and crops in exchange for carrots, which is the main currency of the game. At the Town Center is also the Lovestrike bar and diner, and an apartment right beside it. There are a few friends you can make here as well.
  • Pottery Store: Oddly enough, the Pottery Store seems to be open 24/7, with the day shift covered by Dogo and the night shift covered by Angel. You can’t really make or buy pots here, but this place serves as a way you may interact with the NPCs present. Next to the Pottery Store itself is the Seed Shop, where you can buy seeds to grow crops.
  • Rift Hotel: This is where you’re presumably staying while in Ola. There’s not much to do here other than being a spot where you can occasionally catch bugs.
  • East Coast: This area is where you can find Heggie, a shell crafter and shop owner. Heggie’s shop is similar to the Market in the Town Center, except Heggie sells shell crafts (whoa, what a mouthful!), though they can also buy your fish and bugs for the same price when you offer them to Galo at the Market.
  • Jojo’s Yacht: Jojo’s Yacht is, well… Jojo’s yacht! This seafarer hangs around here all times of the day, taking in the breeze and the view from the calm waters. From time to time, you’ll also see Ali the adorable alligator swimming around Jojo’s Yacht. If you explore the yacht a little to the right, you’ll find a fishing spot there marked by a blue fish icon.
  • Sky Pier: This is where you can meet Kostas, the pilot for the hot air balloon. There are two things to note about this area: first is that when you reach the evening cycle, Kostas will not allow you to ride the hot air balloon as they will say that it’s too late and it’s better to come back tomorrow, limiting your ride times to 7am to 7pm. Second, the trip isn’t free and will cost you a whopping 500 carrots. Hey, he’s a businessman and he’s got to earn that money—gas for the balloon ain’t cheap, you know!

Now that we’ve covered what you can find in Ola, we’ll share a handful of tips in this beginner’s guide for Tsuki Adventure 2 so you can enjoy your experience, make memories, fill your pockets with carrots, head on to new areas, and make the most from your trip outside of Mushroom Village!

❗ Important Note ❗

While Tsuki Adventure 2 looks charming and adorable, the game is not recommended for players below 10 years old as there are mentions of alcohol usage and mild language not suitable for children. That said, player discretion is advised.

Check the Mail Regularly for Carrot Harvests

As Tsuki, you may be far from home but that doesn’t mean your friends have forgotten you. Aside from occasionally receiving heartwarming letters from friends like Bobo or other people from Mushroom Village, you’ll specifically get a letter from Moca, who has taken it upon themselves to care for your carrot farm and send you portions of the harvest.

In the beginning, receiving letters regarding the harvest of carrots won’t take too long. In fact, you can see on the upper right-hand corner of the screen a countdown that indicates when you’ll be able to receive mail about the harvest. However, the more you keep collecting carrots from the mail, the longer the waiting times before the next letter arrives. Regardless, make it a point to keep collecting carrots from the mail as this is one way you can earn a bulk of this primary currency.

Explore and Make Friends

tsuki adventure 2 pengu

What’s the point of having a grand adventure when you don’t go out and make friends? In life, as in the game, making meaningful connections can be rewarding. Particularly in Tsuki Adventure 2, making friends is an achievement that can earn you carrots while also opening you up to other hidden features or activities that otherwise won’t happen if you keep to yourself. After all, you’re here to explore and broaden your horizons, so speaking to the locals of Ola (or any region for that matter) should be high on your bucket list.

Whenever you chance upon an NPC, click on them so you can read what they have to say. In some cases, you’ll notice that a specific character you’re talking to will have a heart symbol above their dialogue box. This means that you can strengthen your bond with them through regular interactions. Of course, you can’t gain their trust immediately, but if you keep interacting with them over the course of your stay in Ola, you’ll be able to max out their heart meter and forge an unbreakable bond. Once you do, you’ll receive special gifts from those characters.

tsuki adventure 2 heart meter

Take note that not all NPCs will possess the heart meter, though it’s still recommended to interact with all the characters of a place as speaking to some may trigger in-game events, such as getting a new diary entry or being able to place items in a room. There’s a bit of trial and error involved as unlocking new dialogues may necessitate having a specific item in your inventory or outright paying NPC when the option arises.

One such instance of the latter is when you talk to Baba, the musician in the Town Center. One of the dialogues she has will require you to give her 100 carrots. The upside is that it will increase your friendship with her and if you’re lucky, you’ll see Hammy just around the corner and they’ll have a task you can complete for 100 carrots, so it will be like you didn’t spend anything at all.

tsuki adventure 2 baba

Sometimes, the time of day also matters when you want to unlock new dialogue options for NPCs. For instance, Pengu, the bartender in Lovestrike, will offer Tsuki a drink only at night. Tsuki will get drunk but it will give you a new diary entry.

tsuki adventure 2 diary entry

Additionally, some more trial and error is necessary to actually make use of some of the items you’ve bought by leaving Tsuki in a particular room at a particular time. It will help if you also read the flavor text of an item to get an inkling of where they might fit. Investing a bit of time (and carrots) in these experiences can be both surprising and rewarding so make an effort to explore not only the place you’re in, but also the locals around you!

Buy and Sell at the Shops

tsuki adventure 2 store

As mentioned in the beginning, there are three shops present in Ola: one is the Market in the Town Center, another is the Shell Craft Shop in the East Coast, and lastly, the Seed Shop next to the Pottery Store. Obviously, the Shell Craft Shop sells shell crafts, but these are mostly decorative items that won’t be of much use until much later, or if you’re lucky enough to figure out which areas you can use them.

The Seed Shop, on the other hand, specifically sells seeds. That said, the Market, as a shop, is more preferable in terms of things you can purchase early in the game. In particular, you need to save up for three items that will help you earn carrots as you go. These items are:

tsuki adventure 2 items
  • Fishing Rod: Used to catch fish in fishing spots.
  • Bug Catcher: Used to catch bugs in different places.
  • Hydro Farm X: Used to grow seeds into crops.

Fish, bugs, and crops are items that you can sell in all the available shops for the same prices. The earlier you get the three items mentioned above, the earlier you can start earning more carrots by selling your own wares.

But what are you saving carrots up for when you’ve finally bought these three things? As you will notice in any shop, there are other items you can buy, but you can only use them during specific conditions. However, the game doesn’t outright tell you where or when or how you can use these items. It’s something that you have to discover on your own, but suffice it that buying other seemingly “decorative” items is a worthwhile investment in that you are essentially saving up for new experiences.

Here’s one good example of a presumably “useless” item unlocking new experiences in the story: When you’re in the Market and you see a Blue Snorkel included in the items for sale, don’t think twice about buying it. Sure, it’s a little bit expensive, but once you have the Blue Snorkel, wait until the game displays the evening cycle, then head to Jojo’s Yacht.

With the Blue Snorkel in your inventory, talk to Jojo and you’ll be able to snorkel near their yacht. This will let you unlock a new diary entry wherein Tsuki briefly describes the experience. Keep in mind that if you do this during the day, nothing will happen, which will make it seem like buying the Blue Snorkel is a waste of carrots.

tsuki adventure 2 blue snorkel

Other items work in a similar fashion wherein you need to figure out the conditions and locations of where and how they will work, kind of like solving a puzzle. In any case, this is essentially what you’ll be saving up carrots for—to unlock new memories!

Hang by the Fishing Spot

Assuming you’ve already bought the fishing rod, it’s time to hang out by the fishing spot in Jojo’s Yacht! As mentioned, the spot will be marked by an icon depicting a blue fish. Keep in mind that this icon will only appear once you’ve bought the fishing rod.

tsuki adventure 2 fishiing spot

Once you’re at the fishing spot, all you need to do is click the icon and Tsuki will sit down and cast his line on the water. After a short while, you’ll see a red exclamation point appear on top of Tsuki’s head, which indicates that you’ve got a bite. Click on the exclamation point so Tsuki can haul in the catch. If you’re not fast enough, the exclamation point will disappear, but it will reappear after some time. The good news is you don’t have to worry about using bait or losing one, so you can keep fishing for as long as you please.

tsuki adventure 2 exclamation point

The fish you catch will be at random and they possess a rarity tier that affects how much they will sell for at the shops. Fish can be classified into common, uncommon, rare, and legendary. Of course, the higher the rarity tier, the more expensive they will sell for. Conversely, fish with high rarity tiers aren’t caught as frequently as those that have lower rarity tiers.

In any case, you’ll be spending a lot of time fishing if you want to actively earn carrots. This isn’t so bad since you also have to wait for the harvest carrots to arrive via mail, which can take as long as two hours. While waiting for the harvest, you can fish for a while and gather as many of them as you can to be sold later.

Keep Your Eyes Peeled for Bugs

With the bug catcher in your inventory, you’ll start seeing spots around town that look like small, faint lights or sparkles. If you click on these spots, you’ll be able to catch a bug!

catching a bug in tsuki adventure 2

Bugs, like fish, can be sold in the shops and have the same rarity tiers that will affect their sale price. However, unlike fish, bug-catching spots spring out at random and you need to really look closely at an area to find them.

The upside to this mechanic for catching bugs is that it does encourage you to explore all the areas of the town, which can also lead you to where some NPCs might have relocated, which can be an opportunity to unlock new dialogue options. Either way, keep your eyes peeled for bugs so you can earn some carrots from catching them!

Bring Out Your Inner Farmer

Only when you’ve bought the Hydro Farm X will the Seed Shop next to the Pottery Store open. Until then, this building will remain inaccessible.

accessing the seed shop in tsuki adventure 2

With the Hydro Farm X, you’ll be able to go inside the Seed Shop and buy seeds that will grow specific crops. With these seeds on hand, a small plant icon will appear below the carrot icon on the upper right-hand side of your screen. If you click on this plant icon, you’ll be able to access your hydro farm, which allows you to plant three seeds at a time. Depending on the seeds you’ve planted, you’ll have to wait several minutes before they can be harvested. Some crops will yield a single harvest while others can have multiple yields.

tsuki adventure 2 seeds

Here’s a table summarizing the six seed types and crops that you can buy and sell from the Seed Shop in Ola:

tsuki adventure 2 items for sale
Seed/CropBuy Cost per BagSell Cost per PieceHarvest Time
Long Bean30 carrots30 carrots30 minutes
Watermelon35 carrots35 carrots30 minutes
Cauliflower20 carrots15 carrots10 minutes
Onion (Garlic)20 carrots20 carrots10 minutes
Coffee20 carrots20 carrots15 minutes
Random55 carrotsDepends on what seed it turns out to beDepends on what seed it turns out to be

As you can see, the “random” seed can turn into anything upon being planted in a spot in your hydro farm. In some cases, it can even turn into a crop that isn’t being sold by the shop as a seed, like parsnip. If you’re lucky enough to get parsnip from the random seed, you can sell each parsnip crop for 347 carrots.

The onion seed is also strangely labeled as such but when you harvest its crop, the label changes to “garlic.” Either way, they’re the same.

Additionally, you’ll notice that the buy cost and sell cost of both seeds and crops are essentially the same, which makes it appear as though you waited all that time to harvest crops only to break even with your expenses. Fortunately, crops usually have multiple yields so that’s how you can earn more carrots when you sell them off to a shopkeeper. At the very least, if one crop out of three only has a single yield, then it would be as if you didn’t spend anything for it at all. Again, if you’re lucky enough, you might just get the parsnip from the random seed.

Upon harvesting, these crops will be sent to your inventory. Keep in mind that the Seed Shop, in particular, will sell you only a total of six seeds at a time. Once you’ve bought the first three seeds for sale, you can refresh the shop by watching an ad, then buy three more seeds. After that, the refresh function will disappear and you’ll have to wait a while before you can buy more seeds.

Using the Hydro Farm X, you can bring out your inner farmer and earn more carrots along the way!

Complete Achievements and Daily Tasks

tsuki adventure 2 achievements

As with any idle game, you get a set of daily tasks and achievements that you can accomplish. Daily tasks come in threes and once you’ve completed them all, you’ll earn 100 carrots for each task and be able to see the next set the following day. Daily tasks are short-term tasks and are rather easy to fulfill, such as talking to five NPCs, selling three kinds of fish, playing at the Blind Box Dispenser, and the like.

Achievements, on the other hand, are more long-term tasks that entail building friendships with NPCs, traveling to other cities, unlocking new story experiences, and even reeling in as many as 100 fish! Though achievements can take a while to complete, they’re well worth the effort as rewards won’t be stingy.

Whether they’re daily tasks or achievements, tick them off your checklist and, if for nothing else, this should encourage you to login to the game regularly.

Collect Your Dailies

tsuki adventure 2 daily reward

Speaking of regularly logging into the game, one other compelling reason to do this is because you can get daily login rewards. As the days go by, your rewards increase, from just a handful of carrots to an entire basket of them. The same applies to the number of Blind Box tickets you can acquire by the end of the week. In any case, logging in to the game every day will get you these rewards, which is a good enough reason to check in even if you don’t feel like playing at all.

Play at the Blind Box Dispenser

We’ve mentioned tickets for the Blind Box Dispenser a couple of times, but what exactly is this for?

If you head onto Ola Town Center’s Market, you’ll see that right next to this establishment is a Blind Box Dispenser, which resembles a vending machine. On top of the Blind Box Dispenser should be an icon depicting an orange ticket.

accessing the dispenser in tsuki adventure 2

Clicking on the orange ticket will let you access the dispenser and it will show you a set of colorful mystery boxes that you can pick in exchange for one ticket per box. The contents of Blind Boxes will vary depending on which region you’re currently at. The goal is to essentially get all the collectibles of Blind Boxes for that region.

tsuki adventure 2 merfolks

Specifically in Ola, you’ll be able to collect Merfolks from the Blind Boxes. Other collectibles in other regions include the following:

  • Formy (forest musicians)
  • Pitiful Pastries (sad pastries)
  • Cosmic Critters (outer space creatures)
  • Sushi Safari (sushi zoo)

Aside from indulging your inner completionist, acquiring all these collectibles will get you a new diary entry. It can take a long while to do this, but playing at the Blind Box Dispenser is still pretty fun and you’ll never know what kind of cute collectible you’re going to get!

Lend Some Time for Ads

In almost any idle game, even one that’s as slow-paced and relaxing as Tsuki Adventure 2, are ads. Now, ads in this game aren’t terribly invasive and actually get you some pretty decent bonuses or freebies. Here are several things you can get from watching ads:

tsuki adventure 2 daily task
  • Double your carrot rewards whenever you complete a harvest, daily tasks, and achievements.
doubline carrot rewards in tsuki adventure 2
  • Refresh a shop’s wares after you’ve bought all three items or for when you don’t like the items currently up for sale.
tsuki adventure 2 tickets
  • Get two free Blind Box tickets from the ticket shop. Watching one ad will get you one ticket.
tsuki adventure 2 carrot bank
  • Get free carrots from the Carrot Bank. You can do this a total of three times each day.
tsuki adventure 2 hammy
  • Help the locals with some tasks. For instance, Hammy, who you often see at the Town Center, will ask you to help him complete a task for 30 seconds, which is basically to watch an ad. After you view the ad, you’ll be rewarded with 100 carrots. There are other variations to this task depending on the NPC offering them.
tsuki adventure 2 ad
  • Reduce the harvest time for crops by one hour. You’ll have to watch an ad for each crop as this freebie doesn’t cover the whole harvest.

If you really think about it, watching ads isn’t such a bad deal when you’re able to get some pretty useful freebies. Thus, indulge in an ad or two from time to time, especially if you’re saving up for a big-ticket item.

Slow and Steady is the Name of the Game

tsuki adventure 2 air balloon

If you’re looking for a relaxing, laidback, and rather slow-paced game, then Tsuki Adventure 2 is right up your alley. You’ve got to have a lot of patience as the narrative progression is both leisurely and even whimsical in nature. You won’t really get straight answers, especially if you’re looking to complete all the diary entries, which require you to have the right item and be at the right place at the right time talking to the right NPC.

As we mentioned before, there’s some trial and error involved and discovering new things is like trying to figure out a puzzle when you don’t even know if you have the right pieces. One could even say that the whole experience of Tsuki Adventure 2 unfolds in the same manner as when a lone traveler acquaints themselves with a new city or town: there’s a lot of exploration, going back and forth places until they become familiar, talking to locals who start as strangers then eventually turn into good friends. Just like in real life, it takes time to forge friendships and discover all that a town or city has to offer even in the simplest ways.

Thus, when playing this game, we recommend that you try anything and everything, all while enjoying its slow and steady pace. Who knows—your patience might just be rewarded with something good, and the wait will lead to something memorable!

With that, we conclude our beginner’s guide for Tsuki Adventure 2. Since we’ve focused on Ola, there’s definitely a lot more for you to discover when you reach the four other regions currently available in the game. Even Ola itself won’t give up its secrets just like that, so it’s up to you to explore not only the place, but the stories of the locals as well.

Who’s your favorite character so far? What do you think Lama is crying about? Will Baba ever become a famous musician? What kind of regions do you think lie beyond Ola? Share your thoughts in our comment section below!
