Tiny Chick is a new Android and iOS game from ZPlay, and it’s described as a game that’s inspired by the conception of easy to play, hard to master. While it’s simple enough for casual gamers to enjoy, and definitely not a title that’s going to reinvent the wheel, it is also a challenging game where you have to guide a tiny chick as it jumps over the pillars. And in order to control the chick, you’ll have to tap-and-hold, then release your finger from your device’s screen. Sounds very easy indeed, but the game’s makers warn that you may have a hard time reaching a high score.
There aren’t too many bells and whistles in here, if there are any at all – your goal in this endless game is to get the highest possible score, which is based on the number of pillars you are able to jump over. And as you keep on increasing your score, you will also be able to unlock new characters. That all said, we’ve written some Tiny Chick tips and hints for you, and they’re here to help you get a higher score and unlock more characters.
1. There Is No Time Limit
The first tip is arguably the most important of all – there is no rush whatsoever for you to complete the game. You don’t have to deal with any kind of time limit, and you don’t have to worry about your chick continuously flying just like the bird in Flappy Bird. The main mechanic of this game is finding the right height and the right path based on the distance separating the chick and the pillars and/or obstacles. The only time the chick will move is when you do the tap-and-hold thing we told you about above.
2. The Basics Of Finding The Right Height
The game is played through simple tap-and-hold actions, as we said when we were recapping its description. But it’s more than just that. You will see your chick’s flight path when you do this action, and keeping this in mind, you will have to get the height just right. You won’t be able to change the height once it’s set. And while it may sound quite complicated at first, you can use the technique below when setting the optimal height.
3. More Advanced Tips For Finding Height And Setting The Right Path
Consider this first example. Say that the chick is far away from the pillar; if that’s the case, you should consider the space between both logs, and how far the chick has to fly from one pillar to the next, thus ensuring its safe landing. But what about if the space between both logs, or the space between the chick and the pillar isn’t that far off? If that’s the case, all you have to do is to tap-hold-release in a series of quick motions.
Getting your chick past a faraway obstacle is a completely different story altogether. What you’ll have to do here is to tap-and-hold repeatedly until the chick is able to reach the right height, allowing it to fly between pillars but still land unscathed. Yes, it’s going to be particularly tough to do, and you may need more than a few tries to get this (and the other tips) right, but as you keep on playing, you’ll be able to get past those obstacles and set the right height/path in order to get your chick to more pillars.
4. Watch Out For The Spikes
While we’re still on the topic of obstacles, what about those sharp and nasty spikes? Yes, they’re going to pose quite the problem for you, and you’re going to have to be especially careful when setting the path toward an obstacle that has spikes on the ground. As you have no time limit to deal with, you’ll want to think about your path longer than usual, thinking of how your chick will make the jump to safety. There’s no exact science here and again, there’s going to be lots of trial and error involved, so the best thing we can advise here is to remember what had worked for you, and keep using it when in similar spiky situations.
As a bonus tip, you will be richly rewarded if you’re able to fly between more than one pillar that has spikes underneath. As you can guess, that’s an especially hard feat to pull off, but you will get three bonus points/coins instead of the standard one bonus point/coin.
5. Understand The Scoring System
We already gave you some insight on the scoring system in our tip about spikes, but the general rule in this game, in case you’re wondering, is that you get one point per obstacle you jump over. Coins, on the other hand, are based on the points you’ve scored at the end of your run; it’s as simple as six coins for six points, eight coins for eight points, and so on. Naturally, you will get to keep your coins after your run has ended, as it’s only your score that will reset to zero.
6. Take A Lucky Chance
You can also earn coins by hitting the Lucky Chance button in the start screen. In this mini-game, you will draw three reward cards, and have to pick one out of those three cards in hopes of winning some nice rewards in the form of coins. You get three tries per game of Lucky Chance, and whatever coins you earn from playing the game will be added to your cumulative coin total.
7. New Characters Play The Same Way
Last, but not the least, let’s talk about the characters you can collect in this game, which can be bought with the coins you earn. Do they do anything special? Unfortunately, they do not – as this is an endless casual game, the only difference will be in the appearance of the characters, but they won’t come with special skills or improved stats as compared to the default chick.
These would be our tips and tricks for Zplay’s new mobile game, Tiny Chick. We hope you’ve enjoyed this guide, and learned something new that will help you progressing in the game.
