Timber Tennis Tips, Cheats, Tricks & Hints for Winning More Matches

Timber Tennis is the latest in the Timberman series, and Digital Melody has just released this game for Android and iOS devices. It’s the three-year special commemorating the anniversary of the Timberman series’ launch, and the game invites you to take part in the Timber Tennis World Championship, where you can beat all the AI rivals, while upgrading your skills and using special moves – you also have to watch out for your opponents’ specials as well! You can unlock new characters and new balls, and if defeating AI opponents bores you, then you also have the option to compete against human opponents in multiplayer mode. Can you go all the way and win this tournament with your skills, your upgrades, and your specials?

For those who aren’t familiar with Timberman, you shouldn’t expect too many bells and whistles in this sports title – this is a casual game which focuses on fun and simplicity. But if you’re the competitive type who wants to beat all those opponents and win the tournament, then keep on reading and checking out our Timber Tennis tips and tricks below. You’ll never know when you might need them out there on the court.

1. No Need To Restart From Scratch

Although Timber Tennis shares many a mechanic with other casual games, including the seemingly endless feel in those tennis matches, you don’t need to start from square one each time you begin a new game. Provided you have coins, or provided your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data, you can either pay in-game currency or watch an ad video respectively, so you can continue from the last trophy you earned, instead of starting from the beginning. Videos are obviously the better option, as they’re absolutely free of charge, but if you’re out of the house and can’t connect your phone to the internet, spending a nominal amount of currency wouldn’t hurt in a pinch.

2. How To Unlock New Characters

As is the case with many games of this type, unlocking new characters is one of the ultimate goals players should be having in mind. And if you’re trying to unlock more new characters, it’s all about beating more AI-controlled characters and earning more trophies. The longer you last in the game, the more characters will be made available to you, all of whom would be ready to use for your next play-through. You also have the option to buy new characters with coins, which are the in-game currency.

3. How Can You Earn More Coins?

Coins can be earned naturally while playing the game, as they could appear randomly on the court, or you could also win them for beating more opponents. But the latter method would be a more practical way of earning coins, as in the former, coins would usually show up right before you get a chance to launch your super shot – we’ll talk more about that special move later. That could ruin your focus before the super shot, but if you’re experienced enough, you can tap over a coin very quickly AFTER you’re done hitting the super shot, so you could move toward the coin and collect it for yourself.

4. Use Your Coins Instead For Leveling Up Existing Characters

At the end of the day, however, it may ultimately be better for you to stick to the characters you have and level them up with your coins. Ranking, or leveling up a character means you’ll need less hits before you can unleash your super shot against an opponent. So don’t hurry off to the next character the moment you get tired using the one you already have. You want to spend your coins as efficiently as possible, and that would mean upgrading a character and leveling them up as high as possible, then moving on to another and repeating the process.

5. Make Sure You Aim Your Super Shot Properly

The super shot, mistake it not, isn’t the be-all and end-all shot in Timber Tennis. Sure, it’s a powerful shot that could throw off your opponent, but that’s the thing – you need to aim it properly. Launching it right back will invariably result in your opponent firing it back, and that may lead to a back-and-forth between the two of you until your next chance at a super shot. What you want to do here is to launch the super shot away from your opponent, so that they miss it, thus allowing you to win the round.
