Splash: Underwater Sanctuary Cheats & Tips – 7 Hints to Unlock All Species

Splash: Underwater Sanctuary is a new adventure game by DeNA, which is available for Android and iOS platforms, that puts you in charge of restoring life to a beautiful underwater world. In the game, you’re a reef caretaker, and your job is to raise and release a multitude of species to repopulate the waters. You’ll also learn a lot about marine life in this game, as you unlock more species and keep on repopulating the ocean. So how do you unlock all of those species? Good thing you asked, because we’ve collected a couple of Splash: Underwater Sanctuary cheats, tips and tricks for unlocking all of the available fish and underwater creatures available.

1. Ensure You Have The Maximum Number Of Fish For All Species Available

Don’t be too particular about the type of fish you’re unlocking – keep this in mind in the early goings. What’s more important is to have the maximum number of fish in your waters and that you help them mature by feeding them. This will allow you to get the ingredients required for more “advanced” species.

2. Work On The Set Mastery

Set mastery is what you get if you release a certain number of fish per set. With enough tickets, you’ll have enough to unlock the Hermit Crab. So with that in mind, be aware of the requirements for each breed of fish, and once again, it’s not a bad thing to only have basic breeds of fish, as that’s going to help you acquire enough materials for harder-to-get fish.

3. Master One Set At A Time

This is so important we’re listing it as a separate tip, but when it comes to set mastery, try to do it by centering on one set at a time.

4. Get More Splashcash And Keys

Splashcash is Splash’s premium currency, and the easiest way, quite obviously, would be to spend some of your hard-earned real-world money. But there are times when some Splashcash would be dropped by the fish, allowing you to earn it without spending a dime. Keys, on the other hand, can be earned when you level up, so make sure your fish are regularly fed.

5. Focus On Upgrading

Upgrading your inventory can allow you to keep more items, which will come in handy when you’ll be needing a LOT of materials. You can also hold the Green Food Pot, which will allow you to take advantage of some nice food discounts. As it can be hard to get enough materials for an upgrade, you may consider spending your Splashcash on upgrades to ensure the premium currency gets used correctly.

6. More Decorations Unlocked, More Chances Of Getting Rare Ones

If you see a blue question mark, that means you’re looking at a rare decoration. And the more standard decorations you unlock, the better the chances of you getting something rare.

7. Monitor Your Inventory Closely

Lastly, you should always be aware of the materials required to unlock new fish. Feel free to sell any surplus materials, but not if it’ll mean you won’t have enough materials to unlock any new fish.

@Shrikenfire, Look at how many more of the giraffe seahorses you need to release and then just hatch a lot of them at once. Growing a bunch at once is the easiest way

@Tami L, in the top right corner of a fish you select in your aquadapeidia, there will be a star and below that star it tells you it’s rarity. Hope this solves your answer!(:

I am having trouble making a school of two etritrean butterfly fish. I’ve bumped and swam numerous times and it seems to just “scare” either fish one is an adult and one is a baby.

@Stuck20, Circle one around the other and you’ll see them become synchronized. I forget if it works better if you use one or the other to do the circling

I wound up using a more aggressive fish. Some are described as more shy, & they didn't seem to cut it. Can't remember what I used, though...
