Reigns: Game of Thrones Out Now on iOS and Android

Nerial’s Reigns series has always been well-received, but none of their previous releases have been as anticipated as this latest installment. Reigns: Game of Thrones was officially released on iOS and Android on October 18. For those who are new to the series, Reigns is about the daily decisions that kingdom rulers need to make in order to stay in power, or at least stay alive. The original game was hailed as the most innovative game of 2016, and its sequel met even greater success. Now that the game has reached Westeros, fans of the Game of Thrones TV series are scrambling to take their place on the Iron Throne.

Reigns: Game of Thrones plays mostly the same was as its predecessors. Players start out as Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons. Each day, Daenerys will be presented with issues as well as two options. Players will need to swipe left or right in order to make their choice. Fans of Cersei, Tyrion, Sansa, or even Jon Snow need not fret because they can all be unlocked within the game.

Those who are familiar with the TV show know how notorious it is with plots, betrayal, and schemes. Anyone who sits upon the Iron Throne must make careful decisions in order to survive. While the characters are all from the series, players should not expect them to behave as they did on the show. The game is set within Melisandre’s visions, which means all timelines can be considered alternate realities.

Reigns: Game of Thrones is available for download in the App Store and Google Play Store for $3.99. As a paid game, players can expect an ad-free gaming experience. There are also no in-app purchases available, which means all characters must be unlocked through gameplay.
