1. Anticipate Orders
Even in a real restaurant, it is good practice to have a few food items cooking in advance to make sure the customers do not wait too long after they order. One of the staples in the game is rice, so always have your rice cooker ready and working. You can also prepare the plating in advance so you will just plop down the meals once you know the orders. There are several ingredients and food items that take time to refill. Make sure you tap on them as soon as you take one serving so that the refilling time will start right away. You don’t want to have a customer walk out because you still need to wait for one ingredient to refill.
2. Leave Money On The Counter
Once your customers are done eating, they will leave their payment on the counter. You will need to tap on the money in order to collect them. New customers will not sit on a spot where there is money so you can use this to your advantage. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the number of customers, you can limit their number by leaving money on the counter. This way, you will only need to cater to the number of customers you can handle. Just don’t overdo it because you still have to serve them all eventually before closing time.
3. Prioritize Food Upgrades
There are two types of upgrades that you can do in Meshi Quest. The first one is the restaurant upgrade which changes the environment, thereby affecting your customer’s mood. Happy customers wait for food longer so upgrade this is customers are walking out on you. The second upgrade is food upgrade. This makes your food more expensive or makes the preparation time shorter. Prioritize food upgrades because the customers won’t need to wait long if you are able to prepare food quicker. More expensive food also means you will be able to hit 3 stars quicker.
4. Focus On Just One Dish
Since Meshi Quest is a time management game, you may be tempted to try to multitask and make different dishes at the same time. The problem with this is that the risk of making mistakes will be higher. Once you make a mistake, the food you made will go to waste and you will have to start over. You will have less mistakes if you focus on making one dish as quickly as you can.
5. Claim Your Profits
Aside from the money you earn from playing levels, your restaurants also earn while you are offline. Make sure you log in often in order to claim the coins generated by your restaurants. You need a lot of coins in order to afford all the upgrades so make sure you don’t miss a chance to collect profits!
