Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector Guide: Tips, Cheats & Tricks to Build a Cat Paradise

If you like cats, then you will love Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector! This cute simulation game from Mighty Kingdom lets you keep an entire mansion filled with cats! Technically, you’ll start off with just a couple of cats and one room. You will have to renovate the rest of the mansion in order to make them safe for the cats to live in. After that, you will also have to find cats to put in each room.

The mansion only comes with a few pieces of furniture, so you would need to purchase more, or your kitties won’t have anything to play with. Don’t forget to level up your cats as well in order to unlock their potential. The more cats you collect, the more difficult it will be to manage all of them. If you find yourself overwhelmed by those fluffy felines, just check out our Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector guide for some useful tips, cheats and tricks!

1. Play The Game Every Day For Rewards

The game doesn’t really require a lot of active play, so it shouldn’t be too much to ask to log in every day. If you’re busy, you only need to log in for five minutes at most since that’s all it takes to queue up everything you need. Of course, you can stay in the game and play with the kitties as much as you like. You even earn a little extra experience and coins for every interaction your cats have with the furniture. And isn’t playing with the cats the whole point of having a simulation game? If you need another reason to log in, Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector also gives out daily rewards, with a new cat waiting for you at the end of the week.

2. Link Your Facebook Account

This should be the first thing you do in Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector. You can link your Facebook account on the main screen, before you hit the Play button. This is the only way for you to recover your progress in case you lose your device or have to reset for some reason. Remember, there are over a thousand cats to collect in the game. You don’t want to risk losing your progress and have to start over. As an added incentive, you also get a starting gift if you link your Facebook account, so hurry up and do it.

3. Check The Lucky Spin Tab

On the left side of your screen is an orange tab with the icon of a cat with a wheel. Tap on it to expand the menu and you will see the Lucky Spin button. You get a free spin every few hours, so make sure you check it often. After you claim your free spin, you have the option to spin again in exchange for watching a video advertisement. Always take advantage of this because the wheel gives out building materials, coins, treats, gems, and even new cats.

Another reason to check the tab is the ad offer button. At the bottom of the Lucky Spin tab is a button that looks like a movie camera. This is the ad offer button and it gives out free coins or gems every few hours. Check on it often in order to maximize your resource gain. Nearly everything in Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector costs coins, and they can be quite expensive, so make sure you grab every opportunity to earn more.

4. Put Your Cats To Work

The cats in your mansion can be sent out to different locations to explore. Tap on the map icon on the bottom right side of your screen. This will take you to the city map where you can choose the location you want to explore. You will only be able to explore Waverly Park in the beginning, but as you level up, you will be able to unlock new locations. You can send up to three cats per location. After some time, they will return to the mansion with coins, experience, gems, building materials, furniture, hats, and maybe even a new friend.

Each location has a rare cat, a hat, and an assortment of furniture that can all be found through exploration. If you want to increase your chances of getting better items, you can use lures. Lures cost coins, and you will need to use several to max out the luck meter. If you have the extra coins, feel free to max out the luck meter until you collect all the available goodies from a location. You will sometimes see a Watch button below a cat who is out exploring. Tapping on it will play another ad. After the video plays, your cat will instantly complete his exploration.

5. Visit The Mystery Islands

Aside from the city locations, you can also send your cats out to mystery islands. Tap on the island button on the top right when you are in the explore screen. This will take you to a new map that has a handful of islands on it. You can send one cat to explore each island. You can only explore the islands every 12 hours, so make sure you do so.

Each island gives out one chest per exploration. Since you don’t get a lot of chances per day, try to spend enough coins to max out the luck meter when exploring mystery islands. This will ensure that your cat will return with a rare chest. There are three types of chest that can be found on the islands. They all contain cat cards, but the rare chests have more cards then the common ones. You can only get up to three chests at a time unless you spend real money to unlock the 4th and 5th slots.

The cards you collect from the chests are used to level up your cats. The higher the level of the cats, the more experience and coins they gain from exploring and using furniture. They also unlock more furniture as their levels go up.

6. Fill Them Up With Treats

The fish icon at the bottom of your screen is for treats. You can feed each cat with a treat in order to give them temporary boosts. There are three types of treats in the game, each with its own set of effects. Make sure you always feed your cats treats before sending them out to explore in order to maximize their earning potential. You can buy more treats from the in-game store, but you can also earn free treats every few hours by watching an ad. Just tap on the movie camera button on the My Treats menu. Check out the effects of each treat below.

Cupcakes:It lasts for 32 hours. It triples luck and quadruples your experience gain.

Jelly Mice:This doubles your cat’s luck, coins earned, and experience gained for 16 hours.

7. Keep On Leveling Up

Nearly everything your cats do in Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector earns experience. This is a good thing because you want to level up as fast as you can. Leveling up rewards you with coins and gems. The higher your level, the better the rewards. You also unlock new items in the store when you reach certain levels. New rooms in the mansion and new locations in the exploration map are also unlocked by meeting the level requirement.

8. How To Unlock More Rooms

kitty keeper cat collector cheats

As we mentioned above, you will need to meet certain level requirements in order to unlock new rooms in the mansion. Unfortunately, that’s not all you need. When you reach the level required to unlock a specific room, it will turn green. Tap on it and you will be given a list of required building materials as well as the renovation cost. The first room you unlock is part of the tutorial, so it’s really cheap. Unfortunately, the price ramps up really fast, so it will cost you a lot to unlock all the rooms. You can get building materials from exploration, the lucky spin, and from daily rewards. If you don’t have enough, just keep sending out your cats until you get all the building materials you need.

9. Leave The Game Running

As you unlock more rooms and recruit more cats, things can get pretty confusing. You normally want to send as many as you can out on exploration. Of course, there will come a time when you have more cats than explorable places, so you will have a few more cats left behind in the mansion. You can use them to push your income further. Just keep your game logged in and go to a room that still has cats. You can then leave the game open on the device even if you won’t be playing actively. Cats will interact with furniture on their own, allowing you to earn some more while you are waiting for the explorers to return.

10. How To Manage Your Cats

If you want to interact with a specific cat, but can’t seem to find him around the mansion, tap on the cat icon at the bottom of your screen. This will show you all the cats you have collected and those that you still haven’t unlocked. Navigate through the different tabs until you see the cat you want to play with. Tap on the Find button and you will be taken to where the cat is. If it is in one of the rooms, you will be able to play with it. If the cat is out exploring, you won’t be able to do anything until it returns.

Playing with dozens of cats is fun, but it also takes a lot of work. Don’t forget any of our Kitty Keeper: Cat Collector tips, cheats and tricks in order to keep up with those demanding kitties! In case you have something to add to our list of tips, feel free to drop us a line!
