Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast Tips, Cheats & Strategy Guide to Defeat Your Enemies

Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is a new iOS and Android RPG from Roadhouse Games that draws a lot of influence from the imagery and music of heavy metal legends Iron Maiden. In this game, you’ll be playing as the band’s mascot Eddie, fighting off legions of unrelenting enemies as you try to piece together whatever remains of his soul, saving the universe in the process. Eddie will also come in many shapes and forms, with each of his incarnations based on parts of Iron Maiden’s four decades on the cutting edge of British heavy metal, meaning the band’s classic albums such as Powerslave, Killers, Somewhere in Time, and Number of the Beast.

Those are just some of the game’s features, and whether you’re a fan of the band or not, this is an officially licensed game, a free-to-play experience where you can enjoy high-end 3D graphics, fight thrilling battles, form a team of heroes, and choose your characters’ class like you could in other RPGs. So don’t let the depth and intensity of this game make you Run to the Hills – be a Trooper and check out our exclusive Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast strategy guide, which covers most, if not all key areas of the game, and then some.

1. Know The Basics Of The Game

While the fighting mechanics shouldn’t be foreign to anyone who’s played their share of mobile RPGs, you may want to take note of a few basic tips. The first thing to do is to make the right choice of enemy to attack. Most of the time, you should be attacking those enemies with a green circle underneath, as that means it will be easy for you to defeat them. Red circles are more like a red flag, a warning that they’re much stronger than you. It would be best to avoid attacking these enemies, unless, of course, you have no other choice but to attack them.

2. Familiarize Yourself With Each Character’s Abilities And Attacks

By holding down your finger on a certain attack’s button, you’ll know what exactly those attacks do; you should do this regularly when starting out, so you can get acquainted to each character’s abilities. And when it comes to using those abilities and attacking the enemy, we suggest trying them all out; you can either hit the standard Attack button and see how those regular attacks work, or try the special ones out for yourself. They may ask you to do some rapid-tapping, or to tap on a certain area of your screen at a certain time. Be prepared, and always expect the unexpected when getting yourself familiar with each character.

3. Form A Team Of Complementary Characters

Every good team in an RPG has to have some sort of balance – it’s no use forming an all-melee team or an all-tank team or an all-magic team, or whatnot. Your teams should have characters with complementing abilities, as that’s going to give you an easier time in battle, as well as minimize the number of red circles you see when fighting groups of enemies.

4. Basic Attack Tips – What To Do, When To Do It

When in battle, you should focus on individual enemies, and not groups of enemies. Even if an enemy’s health bar is almost drained, that doesn’t make them any weaker – they can still waste you at full strength, so make sure you kill an enemy first before focusing on another one. The only exception here would be if you’ve got an especially powerful character who can attack an enemy with more health; that’s when you can have that character focus on the stronger enemies. And when it comes to special attacks, you should ideally save them for boss battles, and choose attack-based abilities to wipe out the boss in one go, if you have a choice between that and the option to fully heal one of your characters.

5. Make Sure Eddie Is At A High Level

The game comes with various characters to add to your party, but the most important one of them is Eddie, the skull-like character you probably recognize from Iron Maiden’s album covers. He should have the highest level among everyone on your team, or at the very least, be at a higher level than most of your team members. It makes perfect sense, after all, to make your team leader the most powerful member of your team.

6. How To Manage Your Characters When Leveling Up

In the early goings of the game, the key thing would be leveling up, period – level up anyone and everyone and keep an eye on all of them, even if you know you’ll be making a killing on the battlefield. You can even create new characters by throwing soul fragments into the portal. But when the game starts getting harder, that’s when you should focus on the characters who benefit you the most, and level them up ahead of the others.

7. What Do Talismans Do And Why Do You Need Them?

You may also outfit your top heroes with Talismans, which can be attached to any character, moved to another one, or sold as the need dictates. That gives them a big edge in battle, so choose wisely, as each Talisman set comes with its own unique abilities.

8. Play The Game Every Day For Big Bonuses

Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is one of those many games that reward dedicated players. If you login to the game every day, you’ll get a daily bonus, which may come in the form of coins, energy, or other freebies. Each day you’ll be getting a different bonus, and the bonuses will get more attractive as you login more consecutive days – they stretch over a whole month, or 30 days. So even if you’ve only got a couple of minutes of free time, load up the game, even if it’s merely to collect your dailies.
