Hopeless 2: Cave Escape Tips, Cheats & Guide to Complete More Levels

Upopa’s Android and iOS title Hopeless 2: Cave Escape brings you back to the world of the hopeless blobs, who are trying to escape the limbo dark cave using their fast minecart. As you play this game, you’ll be able to fire at monsters while riding the cart, saving blobs that you find along the way. It’s a cute and funny horror game where you can play through numerous levels and use different types of weapons, though you’ll be jumping right into the fray, without a “tedious tutorial’ to take up your time.

The fact that the game doesn’t include a tutorial may make it harder for you to learn the game if you’re just starting out. You may have to do a lot of trial-and-error on your end to learn certain things, and the learning curve may be steeper than you’d like. However, that doesn’t have to be the case, as we’ve compiled a list of Hopeless 2: Cave Escape tips and tricks for new players.

1. Avoid Monsters, Rescue Blobs

One thing you’ll notice right away is that you need to be fast – very fast – so you could determine whether you’re dealing with a monster or a blob. You want to avoid monsters, you want to rescue blobs – that means you wouldn’t want to accidentally shoot the blobs. Run into the blobs with the minecart and you’ll rescue them; more rescued blobs means more points once you’ve completed the round. It’s the monsters you should be firing at – hit them before they hit you first and take away your blobs.

2. More Details About Rescuing Blobs

A maximum of two blobs can be rescued in your minecart, and each of these blobs is equivalent to one hit point. Losing all your blobs means losing the round. Also, any blobs that you rescue after the third will count toward the number you’ve rescued, but won’t be able to hop into your minecart – don’t panic if you notice they’re not going in there, because they’ll still be added to your points.

3. Replay Levels To Get More Stars

If you’re having difficulty reaching three stars in a given level, then you can always go back to it at a later time, once you’ve got better guns at your disposal. You can then return to the level and replay it once you’ve got better firearms – chances are you’ll be able to hit three stars if you’ve got the right guns for the job. Grinding levels is also useful for another reason – replaying old levels can also earn you more coins.

4. Fire At The Crates

Regardless if you see them hanging or see them right on the ground, you want to fire at the crates. Crates contain coins (the main currency), red gems (the premium currency), or a new blob to rescue, so it will really be in your best interests to shoot a crate if you see one.

5. Watch Ad Videos To Earn More Red Gems

Want to earn more red gems? It’s as simple as going to the in-app purchase store and looking for the video player icon. Click that icon, watch the video, and earn 50 free gems. You can also go to the coins section of the in-app store and watch a video for 1,500 free coins.
