If you are a Homeworld fan, then the announcement made by Gearbox and Blackbird Interactive will make you thrill with joy! The developers have just announced that Homeworld 3 and Homeworld Mobile are both on their way!
Homeworld Mobile will soon have a closed beta and its release date is estimated for late spring or early summer. However, the production of Homeworld 3 is still in its early stages and it will more than likely hit the market towards the end of the year or even in 2021. But it’s still great news!
If you want to take a sneak peek at the upcoming mobile title, be sure to check out the official trailer below.
According to Rob Cunningham, CEO of Blackbird Interactive, Homeworld 3 will involve players in an epic space combat. Though the upcoming title will follow the tone and mood of the previous Homeworld releases, it will take the story one step further and will feature interesting turns and new locations.
Since the upcoming title is in pre-production, developers intend to gather valuable info from investors by means of a backer-only survey. The survey will focus on the game’s priorities, features, or a possible collector’s edition. The upcoming title is currently crowdfunded through the Fig platform.
For the time being, ensuring your participation to the Homeworld Mobile closed beta- testing can be achieved in various ways. One option would be for you to back up Homeworld 3 in the Fig campaign. By doing so, you are guaranteed access to the beta-testing for Homeworld Mobile.
Another way would be to visit the official Homeworld Mobile website and opt for receiving updates, and further opportunities and details as the game undergoes beta testing. Stay tuned for more updates!
