Halfbrick Studios has released quite a few mobile titles in the last couple of years. The company is responsible for mega hits such as Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride to name a few. People have been waiting for years for the next big thing from Halfbrick Studios, but things looked grim last year when they let go several staff members. It seems like things are looking better now, though, as they just announced a new game called Magic Brick Wars.
Magic Brick Wars is an upcoming real-time PvP mobile game where two players lay down their units, then the units march towards the opposite side and deal damage to the base if left unchallenged. It sounds a bit like Clash Royale, but the Halfbrick has added its own flavor to this sub-genre that has been gaining notoriety in recent years.
Instead of the usual triple-lane setup that most Clash Royale type games have, Magic Brick Wars adds a board filled with squares for players to drop their units on. There are various obstacles in those boxes, and units will have to break through them on top of eliminating enemy forces they come across. This adds a whole new level of gameplay that will keep players on their toes.
