Gods and Glory Tips, Cheats & Strategy Guide to Crush Your Enemies

Wargaming Group’s new Android and iOS title Gods and Glory is an intense and tactical real-time fantasy PvP strategy game. That alone should tell you that this is a game with a strong social element, with battles taking place as they happen against real, human opponents. You get a chance to call upon the power of six “diverse” gods and use their abilities as you go through your campaign, leveling up and enhancing your hero, forging magical items, and using all the tools at your disposal to destroy the enemy – the human-controlled enemy, that is. And just like you could in other games of this type, you can team up with other players and form an alliance to expand your grip on the world.

Fans of games such as Clash of Clans may find this game up to their liking, but even the most ardent MMO gaming fan will need to learn a ton of new things when playing a new game in this genre, especially if it’s an MMORTS, or massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game. We’re going to talk you through the things you should learn about the game in this Gods and Glory strategy guide for beginner players.

1. Follow The Quests

You know the drill. When playing these games, you should make it a point to follow the quests, which are tasks you can naturally complete while playing the game as normal. These may include building new structures, for instance, and once completed, you can add to your resources quite rapidly, and have enough in order to make quick progress in the game. Don’t make the mistake of doing your own thing early on; follow the quests so you’re always up to speed. In connection to this, you will also have fast-forward tokens, which should only be spent when you truly need them, instead of spent just because they’re there to make things progress faster.

2. Always Recruit More Troops

When engaging in battles against other players, you want a strong army and to have that vaunted strength in numbers. That means going back to the barracks after suffering losses in a battle. Once there, conscript some new troops so that you always have enough in your army, either to attack more opposing players or to defend your own base from enemy attacks.

3. Basic Tips For Battle

The first thing to remember when it comes to the battles is that positioning can make a world of difference. You should always make sure that you’re positioning your heroes the right way, with your low-health characters like magicians and archers at the back and your melee fighters and/or tanks in front. Also take good care and watch out for mines, which the game may warn you about, and change your path if the one you’re currently on seems to be too dangerous. And take note of the skill trees that will open up for your heroes; focus on one skill tree at a time, and choose your focus based on your desired play style.

4. Grab Those Freebies

Gods and Glory will often give you your fair share of opportunities to grab freebies – they may be buffs for your heroes, or anything that would make them more fearsome in battle. Grab those freebies with both hands, but bear in mind that you don’t have to use them right away, just because you’ve got them. Also budget your in-game currency; you may be able to go a long way in the game without spending a single unit of that currency.

5. Join An Alliance

If you’re able to, you should join an alliance – yes, this is another standby tip for the MMORTS genre, and an important one. Aside from the obvious benefits of friendship with other real players from around the world, this could be a good way for you to increase your prominence in the in-game universe, just as the game suggests in the description.

6. Regularly Check For Rewards

If a wait timer is taking too long to complete, you can keep yourself busy in other ways. Go to the quest tabs, and you will see several options which also lead to wait timers, but reward you with more goodies once the timers have run out. Have as many of these timers active as possible, as you’ll need all the rewards you can get your hands on if you want to defeat more of those opposing players.

7. When Should You Stop Playing?

As the last tip in this beginner’s guide, we shall be telling you what to do when the longer wait timers start to go into effect. You may have to stop playing the game for a while, and wait for those timers to expire, so that when you return to the game, everything is already completed. Don’t worry too much about shorter wait timers, as you can still keep playing the game and attending to other things while they go on under your watch.
