Indie game developer Dantat Studio is breaking into the mobile gaming market with a surprisingly complex fly fishing game. The company’s upcoming game called River Legends features simple pixel art graphics and allows players to catch different species of fish. The game is now available for pre-registration on Android devices. PC players can also pre-register for the game through Steam.
Fishing enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to in River Legends. The fish do not just come out at random. They have realistic AI, complete with their own fly and weather preferences. Players can also choose their tackle depending on the current water conditions. Finally, casting a line involves real-time controls that allows players to feel the excitement of catching the fish themselves.
The goal of River Legends is to explore the depths of Pine Canyon. That does not mean there is only one fishing spot, though. There are several fishing environments available, including forests, lakes, ponds, canyons, and more.
As of this writing, there has been no announcements regarding the game’s launch date. If you want to be informed as soon as River Legends goes live then make sure you pre-for the game. River Legends also has an official website and Instagram account that provides regular updates on the game.
