Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 Cheats & Strategy Guide: 6 Tips & Tricks to Stay Alive

Scott Cawthon’s freemium iOS/Android title Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is the third installment in his series of horror-themed games. The game takes place some 30 years after the closing of titular character Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. According to the game’s description, the owners of Fazbear’s Fright: The Horror Attraction are planning to provide customers with an authentic revival of the events of the second installment, and while they didn’t find too many items to help them at first, the attraction now has one animatronic, a crazy bunny rabbit called Springtrap. Now, we’ve collected some useful Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 cheats and strategies, that will help you to stay alive in the game.

1. Learn The Game’s Mechanics On Night One

The first night, or “night one,” would be the best time for you to familiarize yourself with Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 and how the game works. Use that time to get used to each room’s layout, and take note of those layouts, because Springtrap arrives during Night 2; knowing how each room is set up could help you determine if he’s hiding inside one of those rooms.

2. What Happens When Your Camera Feed Goes Nuts?

There’s no need to panic that much if you notice your camera feed is going offline. That means Springtrap has switched to another room, or is about to do so.

3. Distract Springtrap With Noise

As Springtrap is very sensitive to noise, you may think that keeping it down would be a good way to avoid him. Not in this game. If you see Springtrap appear on camera, you can go to another room far away and play the laughing child audio. This would force Springtrap to check out what’s the fuss, and keep you safe from danger and keep him far away from your office.

4. Seal The Vents If Springtrap Is Inside

Springtrap would be able to enter your office through the vents, so it goes without saying that you should make sure the vents are closed if you see him inside while checking your cameras.

5. Jump Scares Don’t Hurt You

It’s just like it is in the movies – jump scares are nothing to be afraid about, as they won’t hurt you like they’re probably hurting the characters onscreen! In Five Nights at Freddy’s 3, the jump scares are nothing at all to be afraid about, as it’s only Springtrap who can actually do you any kind of harm. You should, however, reboot the vent systems so you don’t black out, as jump scares will do that to those systems.

6. Do These Animatronics Look Familiar?

If you’ve been playing Cawthon’s previous Five Nights at Freddy’s titles, you may notice a few familiar faces, such as Chica and Balloon Boy. If you want to avoid their jump scares, keep the following in mind, and act accordingly by switching your camera view before lowering the monitor – you’ll see Chica on the arcade machine screen, Balloon Boy on the camera, and the Puppet in the hallway. As for Freddy, raise your monitor before he walks across it, and for Foxy, you want to flip your screen upwards if you see him outside your office.
