Egg, Inc. is a quirky idle clicker from Auxbrain, which is available for Android and iOS mobile devices. In this game, you need to manage a chicken farm in order to produce a lot of eggs. Your farm will start off as a modest little business but it will quickly evolve into a massive empire as you continuously upgrade your facilities. You will need to upgrade structures and research new technologies in order to produce eggs more efficiently. Of course, there will also be a lot of tapping involved.

Running your egg empire requires a lot of hard work and complex strategies if you want to be able to progress at a steady pace. 1. Understand The Basics

As mentioned above, tapping will only get you so far in Egg, Inc. You need to understand how everything works so you can manage your resources properly. The first thing you need to learn is how to send chickens to the hen house. You can do this by tapping on the red button with a chicken symbol on it. You will notice a blue circle next to the button. Tapping on it will expand the chicken button sideways, making room for more fingers to tap. Keep in mind, however, that you will not be able to tap endlessly. Your hatchery will eventually run out of chickens and will need some time to recover.

Hen houses produce eggs that will be sold. The more eggs you produce, the more money you earn. These houses will eventually get full so make sure you build all four and upgrade them fully to increase their capacity. The eggs produced in the hen houses will be sold by your delivery trucks. Unlock more vehicles and upgrade them as much as you can in order to sell eggs more quickly. Lastly, you have the silos. These help you earn while offline. The more silos you have, the longer you can be away from the game.

2. Check Your Mission

The third icon above the chicken button is the checklist. It will show you what your current mission is. These are normally just milestones that you need to achieve. Once you complete the list of objectives, you will receive a reward. These rewards help you get more premium currency so try to complete missions as often as you can. Sometimes, holding off on upgrading gives you a better chance of completing a mission so make sure you check if you are close to achieving any of the objectives before you decide to prestige.

3. Don’t Neglect Your Research

The flask icon on your screen is for research. There are various benefits that you can gain from research but they all cost money. When you open the research screen, you will be given a long list of options. You will need to invest in these strategically in order to build up your egg farm. Prioritize research that will help boost your income. At Tier 1, you should focus on Comfortable Nest and Nutritional Supplements. These two will increase your egg production and the amount of money you earn per egg. Feel free to save Better Incubators for last since you won’t really need it until you unlock the next Tiers.

When you reach Tier 2 in research, prioritize Padded Packaging and Bigger Eggs. These two also increase your overall income, making it easier for you to afford even more upgrades. If you don’t have a lot of time to play, you can invest in Internal Hatcheries. These will allow you to earn more even when you are away. Epic tier upgrades require golden eggs but they are permanent so they are worth the investment. Just make sure you carefully consider what to invest in since golden eggs are hard to come by. Some of the better options under Epic research are Hold to Hatch, Lab Upgrade, Silo Quality, Soul Food, and Prestige Bonus.

4. When To Prestige

Prestige will reset you farm back to the basic one but it will give you a multiplier on your earnings, allowing you to progress more quickly. All epic research, piggy bank earnings, golden eggs, and soul eggs will also be retained. It is important to use the Prestige option at the right time in order to maximize your earnings in the game.

Soul eggs are earned from Prestige but you can also get them through other means. Collecting these eggs is important because each one gives you a 10% bonus in earnings. Try to wait until you can earn at least 50 soul eggs before restarting via Prestige so that you will have a decent boost on your next playthrough. Other ways of earning soul eggs include missions, trophies, and flying drones. Gather as many soul eggs as you can because they will be your primary source of income in the long run.

If you have a few extra golden eggs, try to invest a few in Soul Food and Prestige Bonus under the Epic research tab. Soul Food increases the bonus per soul egg by 1% every level. Prestige Bonus, on the other hand, increases the number of soul eggs you earn from Prestige by 10% per level. Since these are Epic research options, you won’t have to worry about them disappearing so invest as much as you can.

5. Catch Those Drones

Once in a while, you will see a drone fly across your screen. Quickly tap on it in order to earn some cash. It will also sometimes drop a few soul eggs for you so try to catch all the drones you see. The bonus you get from a drone depends on the number of chickens you have in your hen houses. Don’t get discouraged if you catch a drone early in the game and get only a small bonus. These drone bonuses will increase as you progress in the game. Aside from that, you will also sometimes encounter bonus icons on the side of the screen. Tap on those in order to get random bonuses.

6. Upgrade The Eggs Often

When your farm reaches a certain value, you will be able to upgrade the type of egg you are selling. These advanced eggs are more expensive so you will earn more for producing them. Upgrading to the next egg type will reset your farm structures but it will be easy to recover since you will be earning more. Listed below are the farm values needed for each egg type.

Edible – This is the basic egg type so it does not have any requirement. It costs $0.25 per egg.

Superfood – This requires 67,000,000 farm value to upgrade and costs $1.25 per egg.

7. Do Not Buy Time Boosts

Egg, Inc. gives you the option to quickly earn some cash by buying time boosts. You can fast forward 30 seconds, one hour, or eight hours and you will earn the equivalent amount of cash depending on your farm’s current level. The problem with this is that it costs golden eggs. Golden eggs are hard to come by and are better off spent on permanent things such as Epic research options.

8. Use The Time Trick

Another reason for you not to spend any golden eggs on the time boost is that you can get the same effect for free. You just need to change the time on your device, go back to the game, and you will receive the amount of cash equivalent to the number of hours that forwarded on your clock. It’s an easy way to earn a lot of cash without having to wait.

9. Invest In A Piggy Bank

If you are considering spending real money in the game, the best item to purchase is the piggy bank. There are other options available but it offers the best value in the game. It accumulates golden eggs as you play the game. The number of eggs it collects scales according to your progress so you will eventually have a whole lot of golden eggs waiting for you in the bank. The accumulated amount will be preserved even after you Prestige as long as you don’t crack it.
