Deer Hunter 2016 is the latest game in well-known developer, Glu’s popular Deer Hunter series of action games. For those who are unfamiliar with the series, this is a game where you go into the wild and hunt deer in many of the world’s best hunting spots. You can go for trophies in many of these beautiful spots – the game says “from Alaska to Zimbabwe” – and hunt realistic-looking animals, which are definitely not limited to deer. You may even get a chance to hunt mythical creatures like Bigfoot down! Your goals also include shooting down predators before they make you into their prey, and as you progress through the game, you’ll earn more trophies which will be visible in the Game Center (for iOS) and Google Play (for Android).

1. Look To Your Left And To Your Right
You may think you’ve got an animal right in your line of sight and may be ready to fire at it. But you should pause first and look both ways – there may be animals to your left or to your right, and they may be deadly predators. Don’t allow yourself to become easy prey for more bears just as you’ve fired at one who’s ripe for the killing. Typically, the best thing to do is to first fire at the animal that is nearest you.
2. How To Use The Bow
Most of the time in Deer Hunter 2016, you’ll be using a gun such as a sniper rifle or shotgun. However, you may also have to use a bow. You may instinctively try to consider certain variables when using your bow, but this game, fortunately, doesn’t take into account any outside variables, such as the wind, when judging the trajectory of your shot. Use your bow just like you would fire a gun. It’s as simple as that.
3. Use The Thermal Scope
In certain missions, you’ll have to kill an animal by shooting at a specific part, say, the animal’s heart or its brains. This may sound very complicated, but thanks to the game’s thermal scope, you can spot those difficult-to-target organs. However, you’ll also want to act quickly when using the thermal scope. Before using the scope, zoom in on your prey so that way no time is wasted when taking advantage of the special thermal feature.
4. How To Boost Your Energy For Hunting Sessions
Like in many other games, there’s an energy system in play in Deer Hunter 2016; you can’t fire at game forever and just keep reloading. But there are some ways in which you can get more energy quickly. Aside from spending money, which is something you may be trying to avoid, you can watch an ad video. You can also play the game at a specific time so you can get a half-refill. Or if you’re playing the game for the first time and run out of energy, you’ll also be given a complimentary refill, free of charge, and covering all your energy.
