Criminal Case: Pacific Bay is a new iOS and Android game from Pretty Simple that continues in the tradition of the Criminal Case series – a hidden object game that’s popular on both mobile and social media formats. This time, you’re going to be trying to solve the murder of a woman named Christie Becker, as you join Pacific Bay’s police force and solve that, as well as a series of murder cases. Just as you may have done in other games in this series, you will be looking around for clues at crime scenes, interrogating suspects, and studying evidence, all in hopes of nabbing the killers. Can you be as clever as all those TV and movie detectives and solve these challenging cases?
It won’t be easy to solve a lot of the cases in the game. But if you’re familiar with the Criminal Case series, it’s all about finding the hidden objects and relying on what the clues tell you. Assuming that you’re new to the series or simply new to this game, we’d like to help you out, as we now bring you some Criminal Case: Pacific Bay tips and tricks we wrote for the first-timers out there itching to move forward and solve more cases.
1. Energy Optimization Is Key
Solving cases in Criminal Case: Pacific Bay would require you to spend some energy. Some cases may ask you to spend smaller or larger amounts of energy, so it’s important that you maximize the energy you’ve got and manage your time wisely while playing the game. Failing to solve a case or abandoning it (i.e. rage-quitting) means that the energy is gone, and that also means you’ll have to wait a while until it refreshes automatically. But there are some ways in which you can get yourself more energy without having to endure those long and oftentimes unbearable waits, and we’ll explain those ways below.
2. How To Get More Rewards
For one, you can get more energy via rewards, which is well and good, but not a rock-solid guarantee all the time. What may be better, and almost certainly more fun, is if you connect your game to Facebook and add your friends, or create a dummy FB account to connect with the game and add friends from App Store or Play Store review sections and such. You can ask friends for energy so you don’t have to wait for too long, and it goes without saying that it’s a case of “the more, the merrier,” as more friends means your energy can be replenished faster.
3. Be Patient When Looking For Clues
The heart of the game is the crime scene – this as much should be obvious from the get-go. That’s where the puzzle-solving mechanics kick in, as you have to find a number of items while at the scene. Some of the items may be easy to find, while others may force you to think out of the box. You will also have a specific amount of time to find the items; you’ll have to spot those items within the time limit, and once you don’t, you’ll be forced to leave the scene. As we mentioned above, that will still cost you energy, which means you’ll have to think quickly, aside from logically, when trying to find the items.
4. The Stars Serve As A Form Of Currency
Although three-starring levels in most games is normally for bragging rights or for improving the quality of your rewards, the stars you earn in Criminal Case: Pacific Bay can be used as a form of currency. You can use your stars to interrogate more suspects and get more clues, and also for performing autopsy reports and forensic studies, which can also add to the clues you’ve already got. Most of the time, this won’t be necessary, but there may be some cases which are so tricky, and would require you to talk to more people or gather more clues through the autopsies and other methods.
5. More Cases, More Content
At the end of the day, you’ll want to solve more cases, as that’s going to allow you to unlock more areas in Criminal Case: Pacific Bay. Unlocking new areas gives you new cases to solve, and a new set of challenges. As usual, you’ll have to optimize your energy and be as resourceful as possible, but solving cases to unlock new areas is the best way to get the most out of the game and enjoy it to the fullest.
And this wraps up our list of Criminal Case: Pacific Bay tips and tricks. We hope you’ve enjoyed this guide. In case you know additional tips for the game, that we should include in this guide, feel free to drop us a line!
