The Counter of Death Tips, Tricks & Cheats: 5 Hints You Need to Know

The Counter of Death is a newly released action game by CurlKing for both iOS and Android platforms. This is a martial arts-themed title that is supposedly inspired by Bruce Lee, as well as a lot of kung fu movies, and Kung Fu (the game) for NES. Your objective in the game is to rescue your girlfriend from the enemy, as you guard against their attacks and wait to take them out with your “powerful” punch. That’s pretty much the premise of The Counter of Death – fight enemies, save girlfriend, be a master of kung fu while at it.

The game is also described as being “difficult that not just simple” which could be the maker’s way of saying it’s easy to learn, but hard to master. So if you want to make faster progress in the game and take out more enemies, we recommend that you check out our list of The Counter of Death tips and tricks. We’ve got them all below, so read on if you want to be an (in-game) master of kung fu!

1. Hits Always Happen In A Specific Order

One easy thing about the game is that all the enemy hits take place in the same order; that means you don’t really have to predict anything about your enemies’ movements, as the things you need to do will always be the same. Enemies winding up with their left fist need to be taken out by hitting the down arrow, and enemies who wind up with their right fist can be countered if you hit the up arrow. The arrow to counter the wind-up will never deviate, but since it could be easy for some players to get thrown off at times, always remember this when facing off against the enemy – left goes with down, right goes with up.

2. How To Fight Against Ninja Star Attacks

You will also have to defend yourself against flying ninja stars, which get to you from the side of the screen. While these are a bit harder to predict than standard enemy attacks, it’s still easy to counter them somehow. If you see a ninja star coming from down low, counter that by hitting the bottom arrow, and if you see one from the upper part, hit the up arrow for your counter-attack. The best defense against ninja stars, though, is preparedness; always be alert, as they’ll be getting you from offscreen.

3. About The Spirit Mechanic

Spirit serves as the game’s currency, and you can get one unit of this after successfully hitting an enemy. You can use your spirit to buy any one of several upgrades in the game’s in-app store. But the ideal type of purchase to make will depend on your needs; for example, if you want to last as long as possible in the game, you should be focusing your purchases on hearts. For each extra heart, you can take another enemy hit before your present run is over.

4. A Look At The Points System And How Counter-Punches Are Rated

For each counter-punch you are able to successfully land in the game, you will earn 110 points. Once you get to 10,000 points in one round, you will then be able to play in turbo mode. This mode is a considerably more difficult version of the standard mode, and you’ll need to act quickly when playing in this mode. But the good thing about turbo mode is that each hit will earn you more points. That means it would be most advisable to play in turbo mode if you want to get more points faster.

5. You Can Disable The Ads If They Distract You Too Much

Like many a mobile game, The Counter of Death has some ads that can pop up while you’re playing or before/after you play. However, they can be a bit more annoying and intrusive in this game as they are in others. For getting rid of the ads, you have two options; first, you can switch your phone or tablet to airplane mode, or turn off your Wi-Fi or 3G while playing. The game can be played offline, and when you do that, you won’t have to worry about ads popping up when you least want them to. Of course, your other option is to buy the game’s ads-free mode. This option won’t cost you much, regardless of whether you’re playing the game on your Android phone/tablet or an iPhone/iPad.

These would be our tips and tricks for The Counter of Death. Do you know other hints for Curlking’s new mobile title? In case you do, then feel free to let us know in the comment section below!
