Get ready for the psychedelic ride of your life! Color Tube is a unique arcade game created by SuperTapx, the same company that gave us popular titles such as Love Balls and Idle Sweeper. In Color Tube you are controlling a ball of light as it flies through colored tubes. You need to make the ball go left or right until it hits the same color on the tube in order to pass through. You can also go through blanks on the tube, but that will make you lose your bonus scores. The goal is to simply get as far as you can. Of course, it is easier said than done. 1. How To Earn Points
As we mentioned above, simply going through the gaps in the tubes will allow you to progress, but it will not earn you any points. There isn’t much point in progressing if you are not earning points anyway. Make sure you always aim to pass through the same-colored gates in order to gain points. Avoid sending the ball through gates that have a different color, though. Doing so will instantly end your run.
2. Aim For The Star
When you look at the middle part of each gate, you will notice a star. Hitting the star will give you a Perfect rating. Earning a Perfect will increase your ball’s multiplier by one. That means hitting Perfects consecutively will allow you to get a lot of points quickly. This is the best way to earn high scores in the game. What is even better is that even when you break your streak, your next non-perfect shot will still have a score multiplier.
When you manage to get five Perfects, you will trigger a bonus round. The entire level will turn into a spiral and it will be the same color as your ball. All you have to do is run into any part of the spiral in order to earn a lot of bonus points. You don’t even need consecutive Perfects to trigger this. You will be able to trigger the bonus as long as you get five Perfects in a single run.
3. Moving Through Levels
While the game is mostly an endless game, there are still levels for you to go through. As your score increases, you will be able to unlock more levels where you will encounter even more obstacles. Just look at the bar at the top of your screen. Once it is full, you will fly into a black hole. This will transport you to the next level. Make sure you are prepared for the increase in difficulty when this happens.
4. Know What To Aim For
Since you are aiming for the top scores, it would help if you actually knew what you are aiming for. The game conveniently puts a high score comparison button that allows you to compare your scores with players from around the globe. Try to check it out whenever you have free time. This will let you know how much more you need to progress in order to make it to the top.
