When you are about to drown in a rising flood, and the only way to survive is to keep climbing, finesse is probably the last thing on your mind. Clumsy Climber is Ketchapp’s latest quick-fire game for Android and iOS devices. In the Frenc developer’s latest arcade title you are climbing for your life as you try to grab hold of various sticks that would help get you out of the water. You will need to hurry because the water will not wait for you to get to the next level. What’s even worse is that your character is a lumbering oaf who is either half-paralyzed with fear or is just too dense to realize the danger. Fumble in frustration as you awkwardly make your way up the steps, increasing your score as you go. 1. Grab The Green Rung
When you are struggling to lift yourself out of the water one rung at a time, it may seem like there is no end to your suffering. Do not lose hope because you are not playing an endless game. There is a top level where you will be able to get help by catching an airship’s landing gear. Now that the spark of hope has been reignited within you, you should know that there is a way for you to climb faster. Keep an eye out for a green rung and do everything you can to grab hold of it. Doing so will send your character flying upwards for a bit, making it easier for you to reach the top.
2. Keep Your Momentum
The best way to stay ahead of the water is to maintain your momentum. To do this, you must not hesitate. You need to be able to grab the next rung while you are swinging upwards. Use the swing to propel yourself further. If you wait until you are on a downward trajectory, you will have to work against the weight of your own body to lift yourself again. Even if you miss your chance to grab the next rung during the upward swing, try to continue while still in the early part of your descent. This will help minimize the negative impact on your momentum.
3. Learn To Let Go
As you play the game, you will probably notice that the rungs are not laid out evenly. There will be times when you will only be able to reach a run on one side of the screen. When this happens, you need to have the correct hand free to grab onto it. What do you do if your character is holding on to the wrong side? The answer is to let go. If you tap on the screen while your character’s hand is not hovering over any platform, you will instantly let go and start falling. You will need to react quickly to grab hold of the next rung and position yourself so that the hand you need will be free. It takes a lot of practice to master this, but it is the only way to move forward if you ever get stuck with the wrong hand.
4. How To Get More Coins
Don’t bother trying to pick up coins when you are in the middle of playing. Not only is it an inefficient way to earn coins, you are risking your run for the sake of chump change. A better way to earn more coins in this game is by watching ads. You can watch an ad after each level in exchange for 50 coins, regardless of how well you did in the game. You might also receive free prizes from time to time that will reward you with 100 to 125 coins. Finally, if you have a lot of free time, you can head into the store and watch an unlimited number of ads for 50 coins each. Keep in mind that you will need to be connected to the internet for any of these ad offers to work.
5. Unlock New Skins
You can unlock a new head or body for 250 coins each. Unfortunately, you will not be able to choose since the game uses a gacha system. That means you could end up with mismatching body parts. There is also a chance that you might get duplicates of what you already have. Regardless, it is still a fun way to keep the game interesting. Feel free to wear any combination of head and body because they are all purely cosmetic and have no impact on gameplay.
