Supercell has released a new mobile title, which has piqued the interest of iOS and Android gamers alike, a game called Clash Royale. This is a real-time multiplayer game where you can collect and upgrade dozens of cards featuring Clash of Clans troops, spells, and defenses, plus the Royales, who are made up of Princes, Knights, Baby Dragons, and other characters. Think of it as a card battler with a lot of MOBA elements, hence a lot of the social elements that made CoC such a big hit, even up to now. You can also form or join a Clan, share cards, and, as Supercell continues, “build your own battle community.”

But now, we’re going to be delving deeper into one topic we couldn’t really discuss in a lot of depth in that guide, which is how to earn more money in the game. So let’s dive into that topic and give you some tips and tricks on how to earn extra gold in Clash Royale, thereby allowing you to upgrade your cards faster.
1. Buy Gold With Real Money Or Gems
We shouldn’t be including this as a tip, given that we often advise gamers against paying for premium items with real money when they can be earned for free in other ways. But we can’t blame you if you’ve got some extra money to burn, right? In addition to that, you can also go to the Shop and convert your gems into gold, or, in other words, using premium currency to buy more common currency. As a brief recap, 60 gems are worth 1,000 coins, 500 gems get you 10,000 coins, and 4,500 gems get you 100,000 coins. As you can see, the value of your purchases keeps getting better as you spend more gems, so we advise going for the second or third option when you can afford it, rather than choosing the first repeatedly, but not getting the most out of your gems.
2. Open More Chests
Chests can be opened in order to get more free gold, with the amount of gold varying based on the chest’s quality. Even if you don’t get too much gold, the amount of gold you’ll receive will always be satisfactory, at the very least, which makes it worth it to open any chest that you see. It’s also possible to stumble upon some free chests and open them for some great rewards. Remain active in the game and keep on unlocking chests and the gold will come flowing in.
3. Join A Clan
It’s not Clash of Clans if you don’t join a clan, and that too applies to Clash Royale. Once you reach Level 3, that will be the first time you’ll be able to join a clan, but you shouldn’t join any random clan out there. You have to make sure that it’s an active one, as that’s going to allow you to get gold for sending cards to fellow clan members. You should also receive better cards from clan members, especially if you’re in a higher-level clan.
4. Earn Money By Card Trading With Clan Members
Remember that when you give cards to clan members, you lose a card, but the recipients won’t lose any money. That’s not really a favorable arrangement, if you come to think of it, but there is a workaround. If you’re in an especially active clan, and if you are consistently sending and receiving the same card, you can earn a lot of money quickly in most cases. Still, you can still earn coins by sending unwanted or unneeded cards to clan members.
5. Wait For Future Updates
As Clash Royale is a fairly new game, especially when compared to Clash of Clans, there’s always a chance Supercell will make it easier for you to earn free gold through new features that may come with new updates.
