Idle games continue to be one of the most popular genres on mobile, but they often tend to be about the same things. X.D. Network’s new title Boss War sets itself apart from the dozens of other idle games by giving you the chance to be a Boss. Notice the capitalization? Being a Boss in this game isn’t just referring to the supervisor in a workplace. You are The Boss of a growing corporation that owns multiple businesses.
Boss War basically simulates what it would be like to be the richest man. Buy new land, invest in new businesses, or upgrade your existing ones. Don’t forget to recruit Elites to do the dirty work for you. Watch your corporation grow from a small chain of street stalls to a thriving institute. Staying in power won’t always be easy, though. But fear not, as our compilation of Boss War tips, cheats and strategies will help you earn tons of money and maximize your income!
1. Log In Every Day For Rewards
Just like in many other mobile games today, in Boss War you get daily rewards here for simply logging in every day. The rewards may seem small, but they pile up eventually, making it easier for you to progress. On top of that, the game also gives out better rewards every 5th, 10th, and 15 day of consecutive logins. You get a major reward on the 15th day. You can check out the possible rewards by tapping on the three mystery boxes at the bottom of the Daily Sign In menu.
2. Complete The Main Quests
Boss War gives you specific tasks to perform as part of the Main Quests. You can find the Main Quest at the bottom left of your screen. Tap on it in order to get additional information. Make sure you follow and complete these because they teach you the basics of the game. These are designed to help you stay on track in terms of progress. You also do not get access to certain parts of the game until you have completed specific sections of the Main Quest.
3. Complete Your Daily Tasks
Aside from the Main Quests, you also get daily tasks that you can complete in order to get additional prizes. These are all things that should be part of your daily grind anyway, so it serves more of a reminder and an extra set of rewards. Tap on the Daily Task icon on the lower right of your screen to view the list of things you need to do for the day. You can tap on the Go button to immediately go to where you need to do that task. The game rewards you with various items as well as Active points every time you complete a task. You will be able to open up to three chests per day depending on the number of Active points you get.
4. Level Up Your Elites
Elites are special characters that you can deploy to your businesses in order to boost income. The higher their level, the bigger the boost will be. You can level up your Elites by tapping on the Elite icon at the bottom of the screen, then choosing the one that you want to level up. This will bring up the profile of the Elite where you can find a list of their skills, what car they are using, their Affinity, and their class. You will also see a green Upgrade button that is used for leveling them up. If you have enough experience, just tap on it to increase their level.
Elite skills also provide a variety of useful boosts. These require special items to upgrade, but you shouldn’t have any trouble finding them if you do your daily tasks. Once you have enough materials, upgrade the skills of your favorite Elites in order to increase your income further.
5. Match Elites With Cars
While you are on the Elite page, you should also take time to equip your Elite with a car, if you have any. Cars have special skills that give boosts to Elites depending on their type. There are five types of Elite: Model, Star, Entrepreneur, Noble, and Investor. Each type specializes in a certain kind of business. The skills that cars have usually benefit specific types. The good news here is that you can actually change the skills of a car to match the class of the Elite you want to give it to. Just tap on the skill you want to change then tap the Customize button. This costs gold and the result is random, but you should be able to afford it without any problems. Just keep trying until you get a skill that matches.
6. Upgrade Your Identity
As you progress in Boss War, your passive income increases. Whenever it reaches a certain threshold, your Identity can be upgraded. You can check your current Identity on the bottom left of the screen, just above the Main Quest. Tap on it and you will see your current Identity as well as the details of the next one. As your income increases, the bar at the top will fill up. Once it is full, just tap on the Upgrade button to move on to the next Identity. It is important that you do this as soon as the bar is full because you earn free gems daily, and the amount depends on your Identity level. You also new Elites at higher levels.
7. Automate Your Battles
The game’s campaign mode gives you experience that you can use to level up your Elites. You also need to complete specific chapters of the campaign mode in order to unlock more areas on the map. Battles in campaign mode don’t really take much. You just tap on the Negotiate button and one of your Elites will argue with the enemy until someone wins. If you have a lot of money, you will most likely win. Your chances of winning are shown on the bottom right corner of the screen. Each chapter in this mode consists of eight battles, and if your chance of loss is low, you can just tap on the Auto button on the right side of the screen to let the Elites go through all eight battles without having to press anything else.
8. Join The Rush Ranks
On the bottom right of the screen is a trophy icon. Tap on it to gain access to Rush Ranks. These are limited time tournaments where you can battle it out with other players. As the name suggests, it’s really just a matter of rushing your progress. At the end of the time indicator, the ones who made the most progress wins. Even if you aren’t feeling competitive, you should still participate because simply joining will still reward you with consolation prizes even if you do absolutely nothing.
9. Participate In Events
There are several Events that are always ongoing in the game. The limited time Events provide various rewards for different accomplishments. Tap on the Events icon to see which ones you can participate in. Rewards include upgrade cards, investment cards, experience manuals, constructions books, and more. Check each of the tabs on the Events menu, so you know what to aim for. If there is a red dot on a tab, that means a reward is waiting for you.
10. Check Your Achievements
When you reach certain milestones in different aspects of the game, you are given additional rewards. These are called Achievements. Just tap on the Achievements icon at the bottom of the screen, beside the Daily Task. Here you will see multiple tabs of achievements. Just tap on any tab that has a red dot because that indicates that you have a prize waiting for you. You can also check out which Achievements you are close to accomplishing, so you can prioritize those.
11. Worship For Free Gems
Gems are the game’s premium currency, and you normally need to spend real money in order to get your hands on them. There is a way to get a bunch of free gems daily. That is through the Rank Boards. When you tap on the Rank icon on the map, it will take you to the leaderboards for your current server and worldwide. Both the Server and Global tabs have multiple categories. The leaders of each category can be worshipped, and you will be rewarded with a random number of gems. Worship each leader in every tab and category in order to easily get 100 to 200 gems per day.
12. Upgrade Your Mansion
You can actively earn money by tapping on your mansion. The amount increases as the mansion level goes up. The real reason you should upgrade it, though, is the auto-tap feature that is unlocked at mansion level 3. The mansion will automatically earn a certain amount per second depending on the level. You can then just leave the game open in order to earn even more money while the mansion taps itself.
