BitLife Gimme Gimme Challenge Guide: How to Complete the Gimme Gimme Challenge

Another year is almost over, and BitLife is still going strong as a top life simulator title for iOS and Android device owners alike. Candywriter’s mega-hit of a game still has those weekly challenges that only serve to enhance the title’s replay value, and if you just downloaded it recently, here’s how they work — you are given a theme and about four to six tasks or requirements based on that theme, and you’ll need to complete the challenge in four days (in almost every case, but not all). These challenges also may or may not be based on pop culture or current events.

This week’s BitLife challenge is a rather easy one compared to the recent ones we’ve completed — the Gimme Gimme Challenge, as it’s called, allows you to create a character that gets by and gets the good things in life without trying too hard, if at all! That said, there will be a bit of effort on your part, and there are a few wrinkles when it comes to the requirements, but there’s very little grinding involved, so you should have everything completed while your character’s still in his 20s.

But if you’re trying to complete this challenge as quickly as possible before it gets archived in the Challenge Vault, our BItLife mini-strategy guide for the week will show you how to breeze your way through the Gimme Gimme Challenge.

The Early Years — Choose Washington, DC, Not Seattle!

The very first requirement of the Gimme Gimme Challenge Is that you be born male in Washington. The game doesn’t specify it so you may have to go through a wee bit of trial and error, but to save you that minor inconvenience, the Washington in question is Washington, DC, not Washington state.

Once you’ve created your character, you may want to do some re-rolling to make sure they have at least above-average Looks and Smarts. While this is mostly optional, having good stats in both Looks and Smarts increases your chances of being popular in school, and that’s going to come in handy when you join a fraternity — even the less notorious ones don’t exactly want social outcasts joining their ranks!

Other than that, there’s nothing specific that you need to keep in mind when going through childhood and your teenage years. Just be sure to enroll in college — the course isn’t that relevant — and finish your studies so that you can get hired right off the bat by a frat brother. This won’t always happen when applying for a job, but based on our observations, there’s an 80 percent chance of bypassing the interview stage if you’re a frat member. (If you’re asked to go through an interview, simply quit the game, restart, and apply again!)

Keep Using the Work Harder Option to Ensure Promotion

Once you’ve got a job, the next thing you’ll need to do in the BitLife Gimme Gimme Challenge is to get promoted while working less than the expected number of hours. You can do this by going to the Job menu, tapping on your job title, and choosing Hours — we would recommend you keep your work schedule at 38 hours, or whatever is two hours less than what is expected of you. Working too few hours might only turn out to be counterproductive, so stay as close to the normal workload as possible!

To counter the drop in Performance that comes with working a lighter schedule, make sure to choose the Work Harder option at least twice per year before hitting the Age button. This keeps your Performance bar filled up, and while it’s going to go down again in the next year of your life, you can simply repeat the process until you get that elusive promotion.

Accepting Drinks — Don’t Worry Much About Developing a Habit

The next requirement in the Gimme Gimme Challenge is to accept at least five drinks, and that would mean regularly going to the clubs in your city. There are a few things that could happen when you go clubbing — you may encounter a potential hook-up, you may get into an altercation with someone, or somebody may offer you some drinks or drugs. You can avoid any drugs, especially since some of them may cause you to overdose. Just stick to the drinks and you should be fine until you accept at least five.

Depending on your Willpower stat, which can tweak during character creation if you have God Mode, it may take anywhere from one drink to well more than that for you to become an alcoholic. But you don’t need to worry much about any potential bad habits affecting your work performance and your health — as long as it doesn’t take you too long to accept those five drinks (we recommend clubbing twice per club per year), your vices won’t have much of an impact on your job. (As a last resort, you may have to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, which don’t always work, but are nonetheless a free way to help you conquer your in-game addiction!)

The Happy Ending

This last requirement is very easy, but if you don’t use the Salon and Spa menu in BitLife, you might have a hard time figuring out what to do. So how can you get a “happy ending” to wrap things up for the Gimme Gimme Challenge?

To get this squared away, go to Activities, then Salon and Spa — this is where you will find the Massage option. There are four options under Massage, but the one you want to choose here is Thai. There’s about a 50 percent chance of this happening, but you may be asked if you want to pay $50 extra for a happy ending — choose this option and you’re all set to pick a prize chest and get yourself a new hat or a new pair of glasses.
