Deer Hunter 2017 Tips, Cheats & Tricks: 5 Hints You Should Know

Glu is a company you probably know as the maker of all those celebrity-themed games, but the company is also well-known as the maker of the Deer Hunter franchise – no, not the classic movie, but rather a game that allows you to do some virtual hunting around the globe. These games have been around since 2014, and they stand out for their excellent graphics, wide selection of big game animals to hunt (not just deer), and different global locations “from Alaska to Zimbabwe.” You can also gather trophies as you shoot more animal predators before they make you into their prey. And if you need more features of this game, there are different weapons for you to choose from, each of which may or may not work well when shooting different types of animals.

Hunting big game around the world isn’t as easy as it sounds, even if you’re used to first-person shooters and such. And while a lot of you may have played previous Deer Hunter games, you just might be a new player trying to learn the ropes. If this sounds like you, then read on, as we now present to you our list of Deer Hunter 2017 tips and tricks.

1. Choose Your Weapon Wisely

As we said above, it’s not as easy as getting any gun that you have at your disposal and firing away at the animals. Once again, you won’t be hunting deer alone, as there are other animal types, and certain guns work better than others depending on the target. Some animals in the game are sturdier than others, and that’s another thing you need to take into account. Then you’ve got the stats of each gun, including, but not limited to their range. Lastly, some situations may prohibit you from using certain gun types – for instance, underwater hunts do not allow you to use rifles. Those are all vital considerations when choosing the right gun for your target.

2. Steady Your Aim And Work On It

Anyone who’s played first-person shooters in the past know that this is something you really need to do. And when talking about aiming your weapon on a mobile device, we understand that it’s not always the easiest thing to do. But that’s why you should practice whenever possible, and adjust the controls if you feel that you have to. It’s a known quirk of the game, but a tiny little errant tap could throw your aim off kilter and cause you to miss your shot. Also, take note that you don’t really need to take every animal out with a headshot; even if you shoot the animal elsewhere, or have to shoot it multiple times, the important thing is killing it, and having a nice and steady aim most, if not all of the time.

3. Make Sure You Upgrade Your Weapons

Another important part of Deer Hunter 2017 is making sure your weapons are always up to speed. At first, your weapons won’t be too much of a threat in the grand scheme of things, as they’ll all be carrying their base stats. But you can always upgrade your weapons and make them more powerful or more effective in certain areas. Don’t go to the obvious – power might look like a good place to start, and it often is, but you can’t get too one-dimensional here. You’ve got a wide range of attributes that can be upgraded, so keep on improving your weapon whenever you can afford it.

4. Choose The Right Targets, But Be Alert

Once you reach a certain stage in the game, you’ll be able to complete missions. These can be quite challenging, as the game will ask you to target a certain animal, and/or multiple animals of the same kind. And if that isn’t hard enough for you, there are also some animals that are, by design, hard to catch due to their speed. Don’t try to do too much in these cases; consider your current skill level and only focus on the animals you are sure you can take down. But don’t sit back either while you choose your targets; in some cases, animals will attack you before you attack them. And that’s going to hurt.

5. How To Handle The Underwater Hunting Missions

Underwater hunting is an all-new feature for the Deer Hunter series, as the 2017 edition now adds this to spice things up for veterans of the series. You can always take to the water and hunt some fish if you want to try something different, or if you’re simply tired of hunting on land as you normally do. Aside from the weapon restrictions we mentioned above, you’ll also have to use special weapons suited for the underwater environment, and be prepared for the water making it hard to move around and aim your gun.

That’s all you need to know to succeed in Deer Hunter 2017! If you happen to know more tips and tricks for the game, let us know in the comment section!

ok, I've been a fan of the game for quick a while now but I'm having some issues with the game. Every since I got a new computer I had to redownload Deer Hunter 2017. When I finally got to the level to where the events are acceptable it won't let me do anything else. I even completed the free event and it still won't let me do anything else. I looked everywhere to find the creators or even the company for Deer Hunter 2017 but I couldn't find anything
