It’s time to give your grey matter some exercise. Use your mental skills to find the correct word in the iOS puzzle game, TypeShift. All you need to do is to slide the letters around until you form the word. The gameplay is simple but succeeding is not. 1. Take Your Time
The game does not impose any time limit so you don’t need to rush when solving a puzzle. Take time to think about the available letters and what the word could be. Hurrying will only frustrate you and keep you from figuring out what the correct word is. Try sliding a few tiles to see if you can make sense of the letters.
2. Think Outside The Box
When solving puzzles, try to think of words that you don’t normally encounter in daily conversations. The game uses a combination of crossword elements and anagrams so you need to get creative. If you find yourself stuck on a particular puzzle, you might have been too focused on what you think the word might be. Try to take a break to cleanse your mental palate before trying again.
3. Watch The Numbers
If you want to know how far along you are in solving a puzzle, just look at the percentage displayed on the upper right. With a bit of math, you can figure out how many words you still need to solve before you reach 100%. Letters used in a correctly guessed word will turn blue. While this is useful in knowing which letters have already been used in a word, keep in mind that blue letters can still be reused in other words. Do not get stuck with using the remaining letters when solving puzzles.
4. Call A Friend
The game allows you to add friends and you can ask them for help when they are online. This is useful especially when you just need a bit more in order to complete your puzzle. If you find yourself stuck on a puzzle in the middle of the night, however, and none of your friends are online, there is still hope. You can rely on hints to help you figure out what the next word is. Completing levels will reward you with additional hints so you don’t need to worry too much about using up your hints.
5. More Packs For More Puzzles
If you feel like playing for words in a different category, you can unlock additional packs. The packs contain the puzzle levels and they come in different themes and categories. Some packs can be unlocked for free while others need to be bought. Once a pack has been unlocked, you can play it any time by just selecting it from the menu. Add challenge to your gameplay by unlocking and solving as many packs as you can!
