When Bandai Namco first announced Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel, fans all over the world were thrilled. Everyone expected the game to arrive by December, but it took everyone by surprise when it suddenly launched on Android and iOS in certain regions. Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel is now released in most regions, and is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, and Traditional Chinese languages.

Sword Art Online Alicization Rising Steel is based on the Alicization arc of the Sword Art Online anime series. The game will be featuring a combination of content from the manga, the anime, and some game-exclusive scenes. This allows the developers to deliver a unique retelling of the Alicization arc.

Fans of the Sword Art Online series will be delighted to know that the list of characters they can recruit are not limited to the Alicization arc.
