And Ketchapp keeps making ‘em – super-casual games for the Android and iOS platforms, where your main objective is to beat your high score or someone else’s, and the secondary objective is to collect more characters. Yes, it does seem like Ketchapp doesn’t run out of ideas, and its latest such idea, or game, is called Stack. And for a company that’s well-known for its extremely simple game descriptions, this doesn’t get simpler – the game requires you to stack up the blocks as high as possible.
But is that really all? As we said earlier, the main goal eventually becomes to top your highest score, or maybe beat that of your friends, or better yet, chase some of those high scores on Game Center or Google Play. We’re here to help you with that, as we now present to you our list of Stack tips and tricks.
1. The Basics Of Stacking Layers
In most cases, layers will float into your screen from the upper left and upper right side. And when you see a layer floating over the tower, tap on that layer/block to drop it. That stacks up the tower a little higher. However, you will have to make sure the block is centered as closely as possible. You don’t want a bizarre take on the Leaning Tower of Pisa where everything can drop in a moment’s notice, so make sure everything is as centered as possible.
2. Accuracy Matters Early On
In the early goings, you’ll want to be as accurate as possible when tapping, even if you’ll eventually have more room for error, as we’ll explain later. Yes, this does take some practice, but bear in mind that being accurate is especially important when you’re just starting out on a run.
3. What Happens When A Block Is Centered Perfectly?
This is, of course, what you want to achieve in the game; centering the layers perfectly. When that happens, the layer will flash. And as you keep stacking layers perfectly, that will allow you to string together a combo of sorts. As the flashes keep getting brighter, each block that follows after a perfectly centered one will become larger and larger. That will give you more wiggle room for stacking. Keep up with your “combo” and keep that streak going and things should keep getting easier in the game. Or so you think.
4. Higher Score Means Faster Game Pace
Of course, it can’t be as easy as stacking up layers in a combo and having more room to work around with. As your score increases, the blocks will come raining down faster and faster. That may throw you off your rhythm and force you to change your timing, tapping faster and faster as you try to keep pace with the layers. But this won’t happen every time your score goes up; typically, the pace quickens every 15 to 20 points. And it does stop getting faster after a while, which should help once again with your rhythm.
