Simon’s Cat Crunch Time Cheats: 4 Tips & Tricks to Get a High Score

Simon’s Cat Crunch Time is a new puzzle game from Strawdog based on the series Simon’s Cat. Available for Android and iOS devices, this puzzler will have you tapping away to feed hungry cats. The board will be full of tiles representing the different treats that the cats will eat. Every cat will have a type of food that they want to eat. Giving the cats treats will help you clear out the board. The faster you clear out treats, the faster you will finish the game. Feeding the cats will be fun and easy but if you want to aim for top scores, then you better check out our Simon’s Cat Crunch Time tips and tricks for help!

1. You Don’t Have To Hurry

The game does not have a time limit so you will have all the time you need to clear the board. In the earlier part of the game, the puzzles will be easy and quick to deal with. But as you clear more levels, the puzzles will get really confusing. It’s a good thing that there will be no time limit since it can get so confusing it will have you scratching your head for quite some time. Work slowly through the puzzles and think about your every move so you won’t get frustrated.

2. Just Keep Going

Most puzzle games make things hard by forcing you to complete a stage within a certain number of moves. This game does not have that limitation. You can make all the mistakes you want without any care in the world. Just continue making moves and inch your way towards completing each stage. If you feel like mixing things up, you can challenge yourself once in a while. You can try to challenge yourself by doing as many combos as possible. Enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about the move limit, and see if you can setup some awesome combos in the process.

3. Clearing Formations

Tile-matching games will always have you connecting three or more to make a move. In other games, you need to clear them out horizontally, diagonally, and vertically but in Simon’s cat you can connect them however you want. The key point here is connection and if you can connect a whole bunch of them that is going to be very good. Clear them out in a combination. The longer the combo the better as long as they will connect.

4. Focus On Cat Needs And Get Special Treats

When you start the game, you will have three cats that have treats that they want to eat. It is better to focus on what the cats want instead of giving them random treats. Since there will be no move or time restrictions, this won’t be a problem. When the cats are fed they will clear out, sometimes new cats will replace them. When you connect treats together a special treat will appear. Remember different treats will have different effects. Take note of these before you use them.

My 2019 version also has limited amount of moves per game, how nice would it of been to play without one. My new addiction is Cookie Cat POP, and I never thought I’d like bubble games, boy was I wrong. The game can be frustrating, challenging, inconsistent, but also fun and rewarding, but best of all free. But I’m currently only on level 199 and I haven’t spent a penny, unlike other games I’ll never play again, yes I use to be sucker but not any more. It’s been more than a year since Apple has seen my debt card.

My version has a number of moves limitation. Is that something new or something I haven't found?

To get rid of the hedgehogs 🦔, you have to get rid of all the burrows. That is the only way to concur the hedgehogs. As stated before, get rid of the burrows by linking to treats that are directly next to them horizontally tally or vertically. You cannot remove the burrows by linking to a treat that is diagonal to them, just FYI. Definitely use as many long links as you can to use your number of moves wisely. Once you have zapped all of the burrows, you have won that level. Note: when you link to a treat next to a burrow containing a hedgehog, keep in mind that the critter will be stunned and will not move to another burrow for one move/ turn. This is extremely helpful when whittling down the number of burrows he has to pop up in next.
