Have you ever left your car in a parking lot then returned to find it stuck because of a bunch of other cars who don’t know how to park? AppLife’s new game Parking Escape brings that nightmare to life by giving you puzzles where you need to find a way to get out of the parking lot despite being blocked by other vehicles. Available on Android and iOS platfotms, the game gives you hundreds of puzzles for you to solve, categorized into six difficulty levels. You can start off with the Easy levels or jump right into the God difficulty. The mechanics for all levels are the same, though. You will be given a puzzle that is divided into squares. Your goal is to get your blue car out by moving the other vehicles around. The problem is, vehicles can only be moved forward and backward. Clearing a path for your car won’t be easy, so make sure you read our Parking Escape tips and tricks for solving all puzzles!
1. Analyze The Board
Before you get carried away in swiping the cars around in Parking Escape, analyze the board first. The last thing you want is to get yourself stuck because you randomly moved the cars without a plan. Look at the board and see which moves will actually lead to another move. Try to visualize the subsequent steps in your mind, so you have a goal to work towards. You don’t have to have a complete plan on how to solve the puzzle right away. Just try to have a list of things that you want to accomplish. Look at the board and try to think of spots where you can safely tuck away the cars to let your own car through. What steps do you need to take to get the other cars in those spots? Plan your moves this way, so it will be easier for you to figure out what your next move should be.
2. Don’t Be Afraid To Reset
There will be times when your own plans will not work out. You might have overlooked something and realized you are stuck. You could have had a plan but ended up getting distracted. Regardless of the reason, you may end up with a jumbled board with no place to go. Instead of trying to backtrack, it is sometimes better to just reset the board. This way, you won’t get confused about where the vehicles originally were. To reset your board, just tap on the refresh icon on the top right corner of the screen. It will instantly return all the vehicles to their original positions, giving you a fresh start.
3. Sometimes Your Need To Block Your Car
You don’t always need to clear the entire path for your car right away. There will be times when you even need to push your car further back to be able to complete a puzzle. For example, if you have a red car below that is blocking movement for the yellow cars, you might need to send that red car to the top. If your own car is blocking the red car’s path, then don’t be afraid to move your car backwards to let the red car through. Don’t be afraid to block your own car while you are rearranging all the other vehicles. You also don’t need to free your car in one smooth swipe. Sometimes, you will need to take one step forward, block your path to let other vehicles pass, unblock you path, take another step forward, and so on until you are finally free.
4. The Moves Do Not Matter
Do not be pressured to solve the puzzle in just a few moves. The puzzles are actually pass or fail despite the three-star ratings that you see. You can make as many moves as you want while you are trying to figure out the solution. You can move the cars around and backtrack your moves, the result will be the same. You should also feel free to take as much time as you need to solve the puzzle since there is no timer. The only thing that matters is for you to get your car out. It does not matter how long, or how many moves it takes for you to do so.
5. Take A Hint
If you are hopelessly stuck, and you just want to move on to the next level in Parking Escape, you can watch a video advertisement to instantly solve the puzzle. The game will be very proactive in asking you if you need a hint. It will often pop up if you take too long in solving the puzzle. Just tap on Yes when the offer comes up in order to watch the video. Alternatively, you can also manually ask for a hint by tapping on the lightbulb icon beside the refresh button. This will also play a video advertisement that will allow you to solve the puzzle instantly. Once the video is done playing, you will be given a solved board where all you need to do is swipe your car to the right to complete it. You can skip as many levels as you want by doing this.
6. Replay Puzzles Solved By Hints
You will have two options after you take a hint. If you just want to move on, you can simply swipe to the right and the level will be solved. It will still give you three stars and look as though you actually solved the level yourself. The other option is to analyze the solution carefully, then reset the board to attempt to duplicate the result. We recommend the latter because you need to be able to solve puzzles yourself, so you will know what to do next time. Remember, the puzzles will just keep getting more difficult. The progression is designed for you to acquire puzzle-solving skills as you progress. If you keep skipping without trying to figure things out, you will end up becoming overly reliant on hints.
7. How To Get Rid Of Distractions
Aside from the video advertisement from hints, you will also often get pop-ups before and after each round. It can get frustrating at times, especially when you are eager to play the next puzzle. If you want to get rid of the ads, you will need to pay a couple of bucks to get the ad-free version. Of course, there is a free option. You just need to put your device in airplane mode or turn off any connectivity option. Once your device is offline, the game will no longer be able to access the ads. You will be able to play smoothly without any pop-ups. Keep in mind, though, that doing this will also remove the hints from the game. You will need to go back online if you need a hint to solve the puzzle.
