In here, you can relive Ali’s journey from his humble beginnings in the gyms of Louisville, Kentucky, to his eventual status as the greatest boxing champion in history. 1. The Basics Of Boxing (And Matching)
Whenever you make a match of three pieces or more, you’ll see a few things going on in the middle of the screen. You’ll see a circle bar inside the small glove, and that’s going to keep filling up as you make more matches – that’s your combo meter. That meter will keep filling up if it isn’t full yet and you make another match of the same color. Making a match of another color will reset the combo bar, and you’ll have to start filling it up from square one.
2. This Is Not A Match 3 Game Where You Can Take Your Time
Once again, this isn’t a typical Match 3 game. As fights take place in real time, you cannot take your time to study the board and stop or slow down in the middle of a level so you can check carefully for better matches. However, you can slow down and take your time in training mode, but that’s not the case in an actual fight. If you take too long, the advantage bar will move away from you, and if it’s completely red, that counts as a knockout against you. You will win, though, if the advantage bar turns completely green.
3. How To Earn More Coins
The game allows you some chances to earn free coins, and that’s mainly by going to the bonus wheel and spinning it. That will then launch an ad video, which you can watch to get free coins in return. Alternately, you can go to the coin purchase menu, click on Free Coins, and complete one of the partner offers. Some of the offers may be tricky and some may come with hidden catches, but you’re sure to find a good number of offers that don’t come with any hidden stuff and allow you to easily earn coins for free.
4. Don’t Use Your Coins For Continues Too Often
You have the option to pay some coins in order to continue a level and get another chance to win your fight, but unless you’re very close to winning and need only a few more moves, it’s best to hang on to your coins and not use them to continue a match. This is a pretty basic and common tip, but there are still a lot of players who overuse their coins when a game has an option to continue failed levels by paying currency.
5. How Does The Star Mechanic Work?
The stars you earn in the game are worth a progressively higher amount of coins. Bronze is equivalent to five coins, silver is equivalent to ten, and gold is equivalent to twenty. You can also use your stars to get training points, which in turn, can be used to upgrade Ali’s super punches. As you keep upgrading those punches, you’ll need progressively less matches to get a super punch.

Your energy will run out as you play more rounds in the game, and when you’re all out of energy, you’ll have to wait a couple hours for everything to be replenished.
