Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir Beginner’s Guide: Tips, Cheats & Strategies to Save Paris

Fans of the hit CGI animated series Miraculous are rejoicing with the release of Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir! It’s the official endless runner game based on the show created for Android and iOS devices. In the game, you play as a normal teenager who is just trying to go through life, but when trouble is brewing, you leap into action as a superhero! And trouble is definitely in Paris as supervillain Hawk Moth and his evil Akumas put their plans into action. It will be up to you to stop them. You will need to run through the streets of Paris, leap over rooftops, and avoid obstacles in order to succeed. You can play as the normal teenagers Marinette and Adrien, or as their superhero counterparts Ladybug and Cat Noir. Collect tokens and power ups before going against the evil villains. 1. Always Look Ahead

Since you are playing an endless runner, you can expect to encounter quite a few obstacles during your run. Most of the obstacles are easy to dodge as long as you see them in time. You just need to switch lanes and you would be safe. There is one particular obstacle, though, that can be tricky if you are not careful. The car with flashing headlights is one of the most dangerous things you will encounter in the game. Always look ahead so you can spot these cars right away. You should immediately switch lanes as soon as you see them. These annoying little things have a nasty habit of speeding up just as they approach you. It can trick you into thinking you still have time to dodge. It is best if you just play it safe and stay out of its lane.

2. Prioritize Your Mission

The game provides you missions that you need to accomplish. It can be easy to get carried away when you are in the middle of your run, but make sure you always focus. Do not risk your mission for the sake of picking up an extra token or power up. If you want to be able to go crazy with running, you should do so during infinite level runs. Failing missions because of unnecessary risks will only impede your progress in the game.

3. Upgrade Your Power Ups

There are several types of power ups that you can pick up while running. These are the Magnet, Shield, Multiplier, and Yoyo. All of these can be upgraded up to five times each. Of course, you will need resources for upgrades, so you can’t really afford to upgrade all of them at the same time. Make sure you prioritize the Multiplier when upgrading. This power up makes it easier for you to pick up more ladybugs. That means you will be able to unlock the rest of the upgrades sooner. Once you are done upgrading the Multiplier and you still have some leftover for another upgrade, you should focus on the Magnet. Having the Magnet active for a long time will allow you to pick up items without risking your run. Your third priority should be the Yoyo since it removes obstacles in your way. Finally, the Shield is the last on your list because if you are avoiding obstacles like you are supposed to, there is very little need for you to use this power up.

4. Queue Up Gift Boxes

Gift boxes give you various rewards that can help you progress in Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir. Unfortunately, it takes time to open one, and you only have four slots for them. This is why you should make it a habit to queue up a gift box whenever possible. Once your four slots are full, you will not be able to get additional gift boxes. That means you will be missing out on more potential rewards. If your slots are full, and you already have a gift box queued up, you may want to take a break from playing until you have an extra slot again.

5. Fill Up Your Sticker Book

At the bottom of your main map, you will see a Sticker Book tab. Tap on it to see eight different scenes that need to be filled up. You need three stickers for each scene. Completing scenes will give you permanent bonuses that can be very useful. For example, if you complete the set for The Pharaoh, you will receive a permanent 2x score boost. Every time you complete another set, you will receive another multiplier. That means you can have a 9x score multiplier once all the scenes are completed!

6. Hold On To Butterflies

Butterflies are the game’s premium currency. If you want a lot of them, you will have to spend real money. Of course, the alternative is to be frugal with the free Butterflies you get in the first place. Make sure you don’t blow your Butterflies on retrying stages. Just watch an ad to get back on your mission without having to spend anything. If you want to get more Butterflies, purchase Normal Boxes from the shop. These normally contain a few Butterflies. It’s not a lot, but they eventually pile up, so it is still worth a try. Keep in mind that boxes also appear during runs, so keep an eye out for these just in case you get lucky.

A Normal Box is worth 2,000 ladybugs. It contains varying amounts of currency, but it usually contains stickers. There is a Special available in the game shop, but it costs a whopping 150 Butterflies. Unless you have a lot of Butterflies to spare, it is best if you just stick with Normal Boxes. While the chances of getting better prizes are higher for Special Boxes, it is just not worth the amount of premium currency you will be spending on it.
