Merge Farm! is a unique farming game created by Gram Games, a company responsible for other popular titles in the Merge franchise, such as Merge Dragons and Merge Town. In this iOS-exclusive game, you will have to produce crops by merging items on the board, instead of the usual tap-wait-harvest mechanics that most farming games use. As you merge plants of the same type, they will grow bigger, and will yield more fruits and vegetables when it is time to harvest. You also get to manage your farm by deciding where to place crops, animals, and decorations. The main goal is to make money, so you can expand your farm and keep progressing. You will need to complete orders from different customers if you want to earn money. Your ability to manage your resources as well as anticipate future needs will help you succeed in this game. Of course, if you need more help, you can always rely on our Merge Farm! strategy guide.
1. Keep Your Inventory Stocked
There are several different products that you can create on your farm. You won’t know which of those products will be requested by your customers, so the best thing to do is to anticipate future orders. Keep producing different types of items to ensure you will have stocks once an order comes in. Keep an eye on how many of each item you have in your inventory. If you see one crop that is running low, plant more of that to get supplies back up. Don’t wait until your customer has ordered something before starting production.
2. Wait For More Funds
After your initial rush of levels, your progress will eventually slow down as you run out of funds. Don’t worry when this happens. You just need to give your farm some time to continue production and you will eventually have enough money to move forward again. Take a break from the game for a bit then return later to literally reap what you sowed.
3. Keep On Merging
As we mentioned above, merging will lead to better harvests. Just keep merging what you can in order to keep your stocks up. It will also increase your production rate, allowing you to progress even more. Keep in mind that the more you progress, the more orders you will get. Merging will help you fill the orders that will start pouring in. Don’t forget to merge your animals and buildings as well to ensure that your entire farm continues to evolve.
4. Sell Plants To Make Space
Once your production is in full swing, you will eventually experience shortage in space. If you don’t have anything that you can merge, and you need space for new crops, you can always sell some old ones. Don’t worry about letting go of a few of your cheaper plants in order to make room for new ones. You can also sell a plant or two if you are just a little short on gold and don’t want to wait for earnings just to plant a new seed.
5. Boosters Are Your Friends
The game has several different boosters that can help you. Using these boosters at the right time will allow you to get more out of your farm. For example, if you have been logged off from the game for a long time, you can expect that you will have a lot of resources when you return. This will be the best time to use the double harvest booster. Another example is when you are trying to get a certain crop to level up more quickly. You can use seed boosters to help you produce more of that crop.
6. Watch Out For Leaves
Leaves will occasionally fall from the top of the screen. When you catch a leaf, it will appear on the board. You can then merge two leaves to create a seed. After that, just merge two seeds together to gain a random crop. Even though you won’t know what crop you will get, this is still a good thing since you are getting it for free. If you are lucky, you might even end up getting a rare plant. One thing you should remember is that you have to be logged into the game for the leaves to fall. That is why you should be logged into the game as much as you can. Even if you are too busy to play, try to leave the game open just so you can catch some leaves.
7. Fill Up Orders Quickly
If you followed our advice earlier, you should have a well-stocked inventory. When your customers come in with their orders, try to complete what you can as soon as possible. Customers will continue to come in with additional orders, so the more you complete, the more coins and experience you get. If you take too long to complete orders, your customer queue will fill up and you won’t get any additional customers until you open up some slots. You will be missing out on profit when this happens, so avoid it at all costs.
8. Hold Off On Maxing Out Crops
Each crop can be merged up to level 10. You might think it is good to get to this level as soon as possible so you can get a ton of crops. Unfortunately, it is not a good idea when you are still starting out. Having a level 10 crop requires a lot of space. You won’t have enough space to put all your crops in if you rush level 10 crops. Try to maintain a balance of levelling up crops and expanding your farm, so you won’t have problems with space later on.
9. Look For Better Deals
When you start receiving multiple orders, you will notice that some of your customers are ordering the same things. You might not have enough crop for all of them even if you have maintaining stocks. When this happens, the best thing to do is to check out who will give you the most money. Since you are running a business, you should always prioritize that orders that will reward you the most.
