Ketchapp Soccer Tips, Tricks & Cheats: How to Get a High Score

Call it a result of UEFA Euro fever if you may, but we seem to be seeing a drastic increase in the number of soccer games cropping up on Android and iOS. And they mostly seem to be casual sims that don’t try to reinvent the wheel or overwhelm you with their intensity. What better company to make a casual soccer sim, though, than Ketchapp? The master of the nice and simple mobile game has just released a new Android and iOS title called Ketchapp Soccer, which is described as an exciting soccer entertainment, where you have to swipe the ball to hit the targets. There are three in-game modes, as well as the option to challenge your friends and compete to rank as high as possible on the world leaderboards.

Regardless of what game mode you prefer to play, the goals are still the same – score as high as possible, beat your friends’ scores, and race up the leaderboard. We can help you with that, as we’ve now got some Ketchapp Soccer tips and tricks for you below. (Or Ketchapp Football, as the game is known outside of the U.S.)

1. Scoring Isn’t Like In Traditional Soccer

In real-life soccer, one goal is equal to one point, regardless of whether it enters the side of the net, or right in the middle with the goalie failing to save it. But in Ketchapp Soccer, scoring depends on where the ball enters the net – if it hits the side of the target, you get one point. If you are able to successfully hit the target in the middle, you get two points. That means you shouldn’t simply be aiming to kick the ball into the net – you should be aiming to hit the target as accurately as possible for the highest possible score. And try your best not to miss, because after you miss three shots, that’s the end of your run.

2. About The Game Modes

Free kick mode is the default mode in the game, or if you want to call it as such, the “classic” mode. But you can also take part in Time Challenge, which will require you to score as many points as possible within the allotted amount of time. There’s no penalty in that mode if you miss your shots. The third mode is practice mode, which lets you shoot endlessly; we suggest playing this mode if you want to refine your kicking skills in hopes of scoring higher in the two other modes.

3. Take Your Time In Free Kick, But Time Trial Is All About Speed

This may come about as being a bit too obvious, but in any case, you should be kicking the ball as fast as possible when you’re playing in time trial mode. In free kick mode, however, you don’t have to deal with any speed limits, so you can focus on your aim and not have to worry about any timer running out on you. Generally, you want to kick the ball once the defender is as far away from it as possible, and not in any position to block it.

4. About Stars And How You Can Collect Them

If you see a star appear, then go kick the ball into it. That will allow you to collect the star, and once you’ve gotten enough stars, you can spin the wheel and get a random customization for 100 stars per spin. These may include new balls, new defenders, new weather, and new goal designs – none of these change the gameplay, but make things look different if you’re finding the stock environment a bit too stale or boring. Aside from kicking the ball into a star, you can also earn more of this in-game currency by watching ad videos.
