Android and iOS title Impossible Caves is a super-casual game by Appsolute Games that is described as a “downhill platformer.” The only thing tested here is your reaction skills, as you slide down “vibrant caverns filled with danger.” And the only thing for you to beat is your highest score, or those of other players. It’s an endless game where the final outcome would always be the death of your character, though you obviously want to last as long as possible and score as high as possible.
So with that established, what you would want to achieve in this game is the highest score you can possibly attain. We’re here to help you with that, through these Impossible Caves tips and hints.
1. Understand The Rock Jumping / Tapping Mechanic
If you want your rock to do a higher jump, do a long tap. But if you want it to do a short jump, then simple, short tapping motions would suffice. But that’s not all – holding your finger down on the display will make the rock do a much longer jump. The controls in this game are very simple, but as a reminder, take note of how long you’re tapping on your device’s screen.
2. When To Do Double Jumps
Short jumps may seem comparatively useless, but that’s not necessarily the case. Doing a short jump allows you to tap in midair to do a double jump; this could help you if you’re in a particularly precarious situation, such as one where you’re dealing with spikes that come one after the other. That requires small, yet quick movements, such as what we told you about when double jumping.
3. You Can Hit On Skip For As Often As You Want
If you want to skip over to the next cave, just keep on hitting the Skip button; there’s no limit to how often you do this in the game. Skipping won’t reset your score even if you choose not to end the round. You’ll also keep going up for each time that you hit on Skip, and once again, bear in mind that you can keep doing this as long as you want. There is a bit of a catch, though, and that’s the ad video you’ll have to watch after you tap on Skip. You’ll only see this when playing online, as there won’t be any ads popping up if you’re not on Wi-Fi or cellular data.
4. Know The Disadvantages Of The Skip Button
While there’s no limit to the number of caves to skip, there is also a very important caveat to repeated presses on the Skip button. Your score will always be capped by your score in the caves you had previously skipped. But you can always start from the beginning and get a fresh start by hitting the Reset button. Anyone who wants to get a truly high score should start from the beginning of the game, due to the limitations posed by repeated cave skips.
