Home Street is a home decoration and life simulation game by Supersolid. In Home Street you get to create your own virtual persona by customizing your avatar’s entire look. You also get to build your dream home from the ground up. Of course, you will need money to do that, and the game allows you to earn money through your dream job. You can be a baker, an artist, a fashion designer, and so much more! Playing the game is like living that virtual life you have always wanted. You even get to interact with other players in your neighborhood through the game’s real-time chat feature. You can invite your neighbors to show off your new home and make friends! Don’t forget to check out our list of Home Street tips and tricks so you can get the most out of your gaming experience!
1. Keep Crafting Things
Unlike other simulation games where you mostly just wait for money to roll in, Home Street actually makes you work in order to progress. You will need to craft items in order to unlock new missions and help you make even more money. That is why you should always have items queued up for crafting. When you log into the game, claim all completed items then queue up a few short-term crafts. This is so you can have a few items completed while you are playing. When you are about to log off for the day, start crafting the items that take hours to complete in order to maximize your offline time.
2. Out Of Thoughts? Here’s What To Do
Thoughts are necessary to keep progressing in the game. However, if you play often, you will eventually run out of them. Don’t worry when this happens because you can always just go into the market to get new thoughts. You may need to try a few times but you will be able to get your thoughts back. The important thing is to keep progressing even if you hit a roadblock.
3. Find A Good Neighborhood
It may sound like the type of advice you get in real life but it is just as important in this game. Neighborhoods unlock a lot of additional features and content but you need to be active if you want to make the most of it. Your neighbors have to be active as well. Otherwise, you won’t be able to do much with the added features. Feel free to hop from one neighborhood to another until you find the perfect one.
4. Add More Friends
Home Street gives you several bonuses for having active friends. You automatically get rewards just for having bookmarked friends who are active. You also get to invite your friends over and they will leave a gift in your mailbox on their way out. Just make sure you only use regular coins when inviting friends since special items are hard to come by. Add everyone in your neighborhood on your friends list since you know they will be active. You can also add friends directly if you have their friend code. Feel free to share your friend code online so that others can add you as well. If you don’t know your friend code, you can find it by going to the Friends menu then tapping on the Bookmarks icon. Choose the Friend Code tab and you will see your code displayed. You will also be able to add friends via friend code using this menu.
5. Complete Your Missions
The game moves the story forward through missions. You will need to complete these missions in order to progress. Make sure you are always working towards completing your active missions so that you gain access to more content. Don’t worry too much because there usually isn’t anything special that you have to do to complete your tasks. They mostly involve things you would normally do while playing only they take some time to finish. It’s just generally a good idea to know what your objectives are so that you don’t overlook anything.
6. Get Jobs Done
As we mentioned above, the game gives you the option to have jobs. Completing jobs give you experience and a lot of coins. Aside from these two, however, you will also occasionally get special items that you can use on missions. Always check on the objectives of each job and find a way to fill them up little by little while you are doing other things so that you can complete them without taking up too much time. Make sure you prioritize the bonus jobs that unlock every few hours because you will need to complete those as soon as possible.
7. Add Storage Space
If you followed our earlier advice about crafting a lot of items, you will soon find yourself struggling with storage space. You will be able to manage your storage early in the game but as you unlock even more items to craft, you will eventually need to upgrade. Upgrading storage requires a few special items but you should be able to get those easily by doing jobs. You may also sometimes find these items in the market but it would be rare since a lot of other players are also expanding their own storage.
8. Build Your Dream Home
Since one of the primary components of Home Street is home decorating, it only makes sense for you to spend time building your house. There are dozens of options for you to customize your home and make it your own. As an added bonus to all the fun you will have in designing and decorating your home, you also get a ton of experience whenever you purchase new furniture.
If you want to add new rooms or modify existing ones, you can also do so in the store. Just tap on the Store icon and choose Home Customization. Look for the icon that looks like a brick wall. You can add more rooms in this menu but only up to the allowed limit. You can also move existing rooms to a different location or change their sizes. The good news is that there is no limit to the size of your rooms so feel free to create huge rooms and make them dual purpose. The design is all up to you!
Creating a virtual life can be a lot of fun especially if you follow the Home Street tips and tricks we gave you! If you know additional hints or just want to share your thoughts about the game, don’t hesitate to drop us a line below in the comment section!

Hi! If you want to invite someone that you have bookmarked, first you have to change neighborhoods setting on " invite only". If you visit your friends house after that you will see an invite button next to their name.

Hi! I’ve been playing Home Street for a couple of years. I just created a new neighborhood, and am having problems getting people to join. I recently got an invite through the app to join a different neighborhood. I was wanting to invite one of my friends from an old neighborhood to join my neighborhood, but I can’t find how to do it. Does anyone happen to know how? I would really appreciate the help.

Hi I have been playing Home Street for a few months now.. my question is.. with my friend who is across the world, ho w do I know, or is there a way to know if I am playing them actively or is it all simulated? Sometimes I feel that I am playing the other person and they are active, based on their actions of "speaking" to my character, but then other times I feel it is automated. Are they active if they are on longer than a certain time? I wish there was a way to know for sure? thank you so much
