Hole.io Cheats, Tips, Tricks & Hints to Get a Super High Score

Hole.io is Voodoo’s entry to the .io series of arcade mobile games. In Hole.io you are competing against other players for a limited time, and the goal is to become the biggest player in the arena. To achieve this, you must score the most number of points in the game. Of course, no .io game is complete if you don’t have the ability to eat other players. Once you are the bigger hole, you can easily gobble up smaller players in order to make yourself even bigger. You will have to start with smaller objects, though. Eat up cars, people, houses, and even buildings in order to earn points and make yourself bigger. Don’t forget that you are in an arena, though. Other players will be going after you as well. 1. Get A Good Start

A common mistake new players make is to play aggressively while they are still small. While it is possible to eat another hole early in the game, going after other players before you have eaten enough will most likely get you killed. Don’t follow the other players because they will be able to eat the food before you. Instead, look for areas where there are no other holes running about. Once you find a good spot to eat alone, the next step is choosing what to eat.

2. Use Your Time Wisely

The best way to win is to get bigger before the other players have the chance to do the same. To achieve this, you must use your time wisely. Don’t just target the first objects you see. Look for clusters of small objects and work your way towards bigger ones. You need to be able to eat up multiple objects at once in order to increase your size rapidly. Don’t bother with trees and streetlights because they take up too much time to consume.

3. The Ad Route

At the beginning of the game, you will be given an offer to watch a video advertisement in exchange for a bigger starting hole. That means you will be able to gobble up the other starting players without having to farm first. If you choose to accept this offer, you can go ahead and skip out earlier advice about not being aggressive. Take advantage of your initial boost in size and go after as many little ones as you can before they have the chance to get any bigger.

4. Parking Lots Are Yummy

When you are big enough, you should go for parking lots. These normally spawn cars that you can eat up. You can wait for cars to spawn or just consume everything inside the parking lots. You can also go up and down the streets waiting for hapless drivers to fall into your trap. Try to take up both lanes of the street, so you can catch cars that are going in different directions.

One trick you can try if you are not yet big enough to swallow an entire car in one gulp is to move towards the front or back end. Wait until the car tips over into the hole then move in order to swallow the whole thing vertically. You can do this with similarly shaped objects, making it easy to increase your size even if you are not quite ready to take on bigger objects just yet.

5. Public Parks Are Filled With Food

People like to gather in public parks, and as such, you can expect to find a lot of different objects there that are designed to entertain the puny humans. With all the different objects inside the public parks, you can be sure you can gain a whole lot of points by demolishing them. You can eat practically anything you find inside a park, so make sure you head for one as soon as you are big enough.

6. Big Buildings Make Big Holes

After one trip to the park, you should be big enough to consume small buildings. Look for building clusters and eat them all up until you can take on bigger buildings. You should be able to eat buildings after the 100-point mark. Buildings are the best ways to grow bigger without eating other players. Large buildings give you 10 points apiece, allowing you to earn some serious points in the metropolis.

If you are having trouble eating big buildings because you keep moving around them, that means you are moving a little too fast. When the hole isn’t big enough to eat buildings in one go, it tends to move around them. The trick is to move slowly, so the hole will slowly consume the building. Keep doing this until you are big enough to move a little faster.

7. Hunt For Holes

While you are running around the map, keep an eye out for any holes that are smaller than you. Eating other holes will reward you with at least 25 points. You may even earn over 50 points if you manage to consume a big enough hole. Keep in mind, however, that other holes can eat you up as well. Avoid making sudden turns without seeing where you are going. You may accidentally run into an enemy hole if you are not paying attention. If you die, you will be out of the game for 10 seconds. You will return to your original size when you respawn, which means you will have to eat up a whole lot more in less time to be able to make it back to the top. Try to look for a good place to respawn, so it will be easier for you to get back into the race.

8. Know When To Move On

Even though we have provided a guide on which objects to target depending on your size, you should still pay attention to the amount of time it takes for you to actually eat. If you feel like you are taking too long to eat an object, abandon it and move on. Staying too long to eat a large object is counterproductive. You could have eaten half a dozen smaller objects instead. Staying too long in one spot not only wastes your time, it also exposes you to possible predators lurking about.

9. Practice In Solo Mode

Hole.io has a single-player mode where you go against six computer-controlled holes. Make sure you practice a lot in this mode before challenging your friends in multiplayer mode. Computer-controlled players tend to be predictable, making it easier for you to win. This is a good way to master the controls of the game without the added pressure. You can also use this to come up with strategies that you can use in multiplayer games. Just remember that real players won’t be as easy to fool as the AI.

10. How To Run Away

Interestingly, it is actually quite easy to run away from other holes in Hole.io. You don’t even need to maneuver about. Just keep running in the opposite direction and whoever is chasing you will eventually stop. The only time you would really get eaten in the game is if you are not paying attention to where you are going. If you are too busy chasing something else, or if you are reckless in your movement, you might accidentally bump into another hole, turning yourself into an instant snack.

11. Climb The Ranks

Ranks in Hole.io are primarily for bragging rights because it will be displayed above your name whenever you play. The ranks are measured in stars, with the lowest rank starting at one star. You earn an additional star every time you reach a new rank. Ranks are based on your high scores as well as your position upon finishing a match. That means it is not enough to win massive amounts of points, you will need to make sure you actually beat others.

The ranking system assigns points depending on your position at the end of a match. Getting first place will reward you with 20 points. Second place gives you 10 points. Third place gives you five points. You only get two points for fourth or fifth place. Finally, sixth and seventh are only worth one point. Since there are only seven players in each round, it’s not possible to get a worse position than that.

12. Secure Your Position

Once you secure a good position in the upper half of the pack, you can secure it by ensuring no other player earns points. You can do this by hanging out near the spawn points and gobbling up anyone who emerges before they have the chance to get any bigger. Eating the small ones right away will also keep other players from eating them. Just make sure you don’t get eaten while hanging out by the spawn point because other players will get the same idea.

13. Play With Your Friends

If you are hanging out with your friends and feel like getting a competition going, you can do so by creating a multiplayer room. Everyone participating has to have the game installed on their devices. They would also need Bluetooth capability in order for the multiplayer game to work. Just create the room and have your friends join in via Bluetooth. You can also have someone else create the room and you just need to hit the Join button to get the party started.

14. Dress Up Your Hole

One of the great things about Hole.io is that you don’t need to spend anything to change up your looks. You can change the color surrounding your hole to any of the available colors. All options are available from the start, so you don’t need to unlock or purchase anything. You should also keep an eye on the updates, so you will know every time the developers add a new color to the options. Keep in mind, however, that the colors are purely cosmetic and don’t affect the gameplay in any way. Although, it would probably help you focus if you chose a color that makes you stand out.

15. Play Without Ads

If you are getting frustrated with the pop-up ads, there are a couple of options for you to get rid of them. The first one is to simply cough up the two dollars needed to unlock the ad-free version of the game. If you are not willing to do that, however, you can always just switch your device to airplane mode. Doing so will prevent the game from accessing the ads from the server. The down side to this free option is that you will miss out on ad offers as well.
