We’ve been covering a lot of casual games lately, games that come with zero frills, but a lot of thrills. And the latest one we shall be covering is called Handbrake Valet, an Android and iOS game from Meagan Harrington. She doesn’t give us a detailed description of the game, but like many studios and individual creators of these types of games, long-winded descriptions aren’t needed – all you have to do is pop the handbrake, park the car, and make sure you don’t crash. Just keep doing this and parking as many cars as possible, and you’ll see your score keep going up. It’s a day in the life of a valet, and it doesn’t get simpler than that.
Wonder how you can park more cars and score more points in this game? That’s exactly why we’re here, as we’ve come up with some Handbrake Valet tips and hints for you to try out the next time you play this game.
1. Turn The Right Way
When trying to turn the car, you only need to tap once on your screen. Remember that you have to park the car in the spot without hitting any of the cars behind you or in front. Still, you have to be extremely sure you’re turning in the right direction. Fortunately, there isn’t anything ambiguous about the controls – tap on the left side to turn left, and tap on the right side to turn right.
2. Timing Is Also Very Important
Aside from turning in the right direction, you also have to be sure your timing is right on the dot. You can try tapping when the front of the car is right in between of the front and rear of the car behind the parking spot. Doing this will allow you the right amount of wiggle room to slide in past the car behind you, and will let you squeeze into those smaller parking spots. Parking spots get tighter and the game moves faster and faster as your score goes up, so don’t dilly-dally!
3. Don’t Try To Chase The Highest Of The High Scores
You can always go to the Game Center or Google Play leaderboards to see how you rank against other players from around the world. But if you’re trying to chase those on the very top of the leaderboards, you’re trying in vain. These are hacked scores that aren’t the least bit legit, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the player called “SHAKY BIRD” is among them – this fellow is notorious for hacking games to get on top of the leaderboards. Move a bit down and start chasing after the highest scores that look remotely realistic.
4. Take Quick Breaks
Getting stressed out by the handbrakes? Then take a break and give your hands a rest. And don’t forget to give your mind a rest as well, because successive games with poor scores could cause players to get frustrated and follow one bad game up with another. You can always return after about 30 minutes, once you’ve gotten some quality relaxation.
These would be our collection of tips and tricks for Meagan Harrington’s brand new mobile title, Handbrake Valet. If you’ve enjoyed these tips or know some others we haven’t mentioned in this guide, then don’t forget to leave a comment below.
