Even mad scientists have hobbies, too. In Pixelstar Games’ new mobile title Grow Zombies – Zombie Inc, that hobby is to create and breed zombies in captivity. Available for Android and iOS devices, this game will have you hooked for hours. Instead of surviving a zombie apocalypse, you will be on the other side of the end of the world, trying to cause it. Synthesize zombies and experiment with them in order to create higher tier undead. Awaken them to unlock their special abilities. Once you are confident with your personal zombie horde, you can send them out to hunt various bosses, mutants, and aliens. Keep developing different kinds of zombies, and research various ways to improve their abilities further. It all sounds like a lot of fun, but it also needs good strategy if you want to progress quickly. 1. Combine Zombies For Fun
Grow Zombies – Zombies Inc requires strategic thinking if you want to successfully create better zombies. You will need to combine two zombies of the same kind in order to create a higher-grade zombie. That means creating a super zombie will require the combination of dozens of lower-grade zombies. Given the limited space you have for holding zombies, you will need to make sure every combination counts.
Aside from creating stronger zombies, you will also need to take variety into consideration. Having only one type of zombie in your horde will leave you vulnerable to enemy attacks. As with most games that involve team assembly, there are zombies for each role. There are tanks, damage dealers, ranged zombies, and so on. Try to have a healthy mix of these to make sure you are prepared for any opponent.
2. Prioritize Research
When you start out, you will have very limited resources. That is why it is important that you spend wisely. It is best if you focus on Research first in order to make things easier for you. You should also add more population since you want to have as much room to grow as you can get. Another investment you can make is the gains you get from eggs. When you can no longer afford the upgrades for these, you can move on to spending a bit for Building and Zombies.
3. How To Wipe Out Humanity
Once you begin your attacks, you should focus on finding the perfect position. Tanks and melee damage dealers should be placed as close to the humans as possible. Don’t worry because all these silly humans are brave, so they will run after you instead of trying to get away. That means you can lure them first using your beefy zombies.
Once you have lured the humans towards your tanks, you should quickly plop down your ranged zombies, taking care to place them as far from the humans as possible. You should try to take out the ranged humans as fast as you can. Learn the strengths and weaknesses of all your units, and try to find the perfect place for them in the battlefield.
4. Spread Your Upgrades
There are a lot of types of zombies, but you won’t be using all of them in your army. Since you won’t have enough resources to upgrade all of them, make sure you only spend on upgrading the ones you will use for a long time. That doesn’t mean, though, that you should only upgrade your strongest zombie. It is highly unlikely that you will be going into battle with just that zombie, so you will be giving yourself a disadvantage if you focus all upgrades on a single zombie. Instead, you should try to spread the upgrades across your usual team members. Do not be afraid to invest in level 1 zombies, because you will be using them for a long time even after you get rare ones.
5. Get More Zombies
Zombies have always been known to be most effective in hordes. The bigger your horde is, the stronger you will be. That is why you should do everything you can to increase your population. The good news is that there are two ways for you to go about increasing your zombie population. The first one has already been mentioned above. You just need to go to the Research tab and invest in increasing the zombie population. Unfortunately, this is a costly option, and you will eventually have to pay exorbitant costs in order to upgrade further.
The second option is to go to Zombie – Z-Virus. From here, you can spend the z-virus to increase your zombie population. This is often overlooked by new players since it is not an obvious way to increase population, but it is actually more effective than the first option. Make sure you maximize both options in order to create the ultimate zombie horde!
6. How To Upgrade Buildings
Upgrading buildings in Grow Zombies – Zombies Inc is a little trickier than usual. There are two paths for upgrading, and if you don’t pay attention, you could end up getting stuck for a while. Building upgrades require either coins or skulls. However, coins and skulls are not interchangeable. That means if you decide to go with spending skulls and run out later on, you will not have the option to spend coins instead. You will end up stuck in your progression path until you earn enough skulls to continue your progress. The same goes if you choose to go on the coin path.
The solution to this problem is to invest strategically in both the lab and the bone lab. Make sure you allocate resources for both labs in order to maximize your upgrades for buildings. Study the different paths available before investing, so that you will know which ones should be prioritized. The key here is coming up with a path that will allow you to continue growing despite limited resources.
