Digimon ReArise Sneaks into the App Store and Google Play Early

After the launch of Pokemon Masters ultimately fell flat, it seems its rival’s turn to take the stage as Digimon ReArise got released ahead of schedule on Android and iOS platforms. The game features characters designed by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru himself, so fans of the original Digimon anime are in for a trip down memory lane.

While the launch date for Digimon ReArise was never really set in stone, its listing on the App Store indicated that it was supposed to launch towards the latter half of October. The launch isn’t too far off from what was expected, but it is still a pleasant surprise, nonetheless.

Digimon ReArise is set in the near future where people all have Digimon living in their smartphones as a virtual pet. The player’s character will suddenly encounter a weird phenomenon and will be attacked by enemies called Spirals. It just so happens that Pusurimon is living in the player’s device and in his desire to help his tamer, he jumps out into the real world and fights off the Spirals.

Players will be able to recruit more Digimon through the game’s gacha system. The collected Digimon can then be trained, bonded with, and Digivolved in order to make them stronger. Powerful Mega-level Digimon like WarGreymon, Minervamon, and HiAndromon can all be acquired through the gacha system.

Digimon ReArise is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play. The game is free to download with IAPs.
