Published by Netmarble Games, Destiny Knights has just been released last month. It is actually the reincarnation of the previous Destiny6. Nevertheless, this strategic action RPG will draw you in with its beautiful visual and fast action. You even get to collect heroes through summoning to help the young adventurers as they embark on the journey to fight the devils.
Moreover, Destiny Knights is a hero collector RPG which is winning fans worldwide with its captivating storyline and unique characters. As the story begins, you meet Asher, Seraphina and Jonah, the hedgehog on the airship. These three characters will be your team as you start to play the Adventure mode. There is also Weiss, who always shows up during the summoning of heroes. Of course, if you are here for the fast-paced action, you can choose to skip the story. 1. Learning The Basics
First, let’s go through some basics of playing Destiny Knights. Basically, this is a game with characters moving automatically and attacks being played without player control. You can also opt to manually control the characters and the attacks by using the D-pad. Destiny Knights can be played easily as you have to use the skills by activating them. You only have to tap on them or hold and drag the chosen skills to your desired opponent.
Make sure you have the advantage by choosing the correct paper-scissor-rock type heroes against the boss enemies. Remember to use the red coloured skills only when the boss enemy is showing the red circle as this is the highly efficient time to knock down the boss. The reason is this indicates the Break Time of the boss enemies when their defences are low.
For the Paper, Rock and Scissor affinity, it is just like the normal paper, rock and scissor game. Those with Paper will easily win over those with Rock. While the ones with Rock will have an advantage over the Scissors, the Scissors easily win against the Paper. Having the advantage, in this sense, will see 130 percent of skill strength being used against the opponent. If both sides have the similar affinity, the skill strength is 100 percent. In the end, those without the advantage only show a skill strength of only 70 percent.
As you successfully completed each stage, you will receive Golds and your clear time will be shown too. You can repeat the stages to obtain the huge rewards of Golds. Now, once you add friends in Destiny Knights, you get to use their heroes to aid your team once a day. This is reset at 12 a.m. every day.
Initially, you will have a free summon and often, the hero you obtained will be a 2 stars hero. After claiming your check in rewards, you will also have the chance to summon 5 stars heroes in the first 10 summoning. A quick reminder is that you have to pass Silvas Stage 2 in Normal Mode to be able to summon new heroes.
2. Check The Lobby For Stats And Participate In Events For Rewards
Additionally, the Lobby is where you are likely to often visit in Destiny Knights. At the top left are your name and current level. You can level up easily by gaining the EXP as you play. Then, there is the information on the Keys, Golds, Rubies and Medals you currently have. On the other side at the upper part of the Lobby, the envelopes indicate your inbox, the chat for your channel, and the last symbol contains quick details about the currency you owned and shortcuts to different parts of the games you wish to access.
Going down the right side of the Lobby, there are the Events and Packages. Check and participate in the Events often to obtain more rewards. On the contrary, if you are willing to give your game progress a huge extra boost, browse the 7-Day Bargain Package and other Popular Packages.
Afterwards, at the bottom right, you will see the Guild, Airship, Arena and Adventure. It is best to join an active Guild to earn more goodies while you can check the Airship for often for the main-in game items such as Keys, Golds and Rubies. Once you have unlocked Arena mode, fight against other real-time players to earn honour points. All these currencies will help you to obtain more precious items like the scrolls.
In Destiny Knights, you easily unlock other modes by successfully attempted the stages in the Adventure mode. This is unlike most similar games. For example, you unlock the Airship once you clear Inua Stage 9 and the Arena once you pass Medina Stage 5. Both can be done in Normal mode.
Next to these icons, you have the Summon, Combine, Shop and Costume. You are more likely to use the Summon for the hero summoning and Combine to combine and obtain higher rated heroes. On the other hand, Costume is not recommended for new beginner players as you should save up on your Rubies. And yes, the Shop is for those interested in investing real money in this game.
Moving onwards to the bottom left, tap on the Heroes to check your hero collection and the Achievements to collect rewards. There are also the Codex, where you can read the stories and characters’ backgrounds in details, as well as the Etc. In Etc, you can check in for rewards and look up Notices, Statistics and Friends. The Help and Settings buttons also belong under the Etc icon.
Finally, at the left side of the Lobby, you can access Melissa’s black market, where you buy precious items with Rubies. And for those with a lot of Golds, you can shop at the Time Shop instead. Bonus may range from Bonus Time, where you earn 100 percent of extra Golds upon receiving any rewards, to Faction Buff, which increases your EXP rate by 50 percents.
3. Check The World Map
Whenever you tap on the Adventure mode, you will be led to the World Map. This intricately-drawn map shows five out of the six factions, namely the Silvas, Inua, Tragar, Jin and Medina. Scroll left and right to access to the whole map. Each area you tapped will show the difficulty and rewards at the bottom right. The top line of symbols is the same as the one found in the Lobby.
In the meantime, three new symbols appear on the left side of the screen when you are in the World Map. Crosic is where you can awaken a hero, summon a strong hero and equip Crests to Awakened Heroes. Naturally, you are able to level up your hero here as well. But, ensure you have the Enhancement/Evolution Materials to do so first. The Faction Boss icon shows its namesake and you scroll left and right to view the faction bosses. There is also the Secret Dungeon which you can also access through the same side.
4. Destiny Knights Tips & Tricks
Finally, after going through the basics of playing Destiny Knights as a beginner, you will likely be hungry for more details to easily win over other new players. Here, check out these quick tips below which will give you an extra boost as you start your journey in Destiny Knights:
– At the start of the game, do not log in to your Facebook and Google Play accounts. Just tap on Connect to start. This way, you get to renew the game if the first 5 stars heroes are not to your likings.
– The game will also automatically pause by itself should you have any other running applications which affect Destiny Knights. Tap on Continue to proceed with your game once you are done.
– It is recommended that you complete all the stages first to claim the free rewards. The rewards include a Healer character, Eve when you clear the Medina area.
– The best way to progress fast is to build a strong team of 4 stars and above.
– Choose your striker hero (the team member at the bottom) well as the Strike Skill is highly useful. You easily knock down the enemies once activated this like any other skills.
– If you are unsure where to go in the Adventure mode, Tome of Prophecies is a good place to go and look. Just click on the highlighted column and you will be fine.
– Also, redeem your very first check in rewards which have Keys and Rubies. These are important for you as you continue to play Destiny Knights. The rewards for checking in on 1st day is 3500 Rubies and a 5-star Hero Guaranteed Summoning Scroll if you check in at the end of the week. You will also get an extra 3500 Rubies Clear Bonus after completing the Silvas stage too.
