Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare Tips, Cheats & Guide to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare is a new iOS game from Mobirate Studio, and it’s described by its makers as a new cool zombie post-apocalypse sequel to Dead Ahead. In this game, you are asked to “keep calm and stay sharp” as you drive your bus through zombie-infested areas, gather more supplies, rescue survivors, and of course, kill more zombies. It’s your job to defend your bus against the zombies, busting through barricades and mobilizing your survivors in battle against these flesh-eating hordes. You’ll also have some nifty weapons at your disposal, including exploding barrels, grenades, and Molotov cocktails. But it’s more than just killing zombies in this game – there’s also a strategic element in here, as you need to combine units and balance your offense and defense like your undead enemies would.

It won’t be easy dealing with all those hordes of zombies, and you will also have to come up with the right kind of strategy and not brute-force your way through the undead – this isn’t one of those types of games! So if you’re looking to kill more zombies and make further progress in the game even if you’re new to it, we recommend reading these Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare tips and tricks for first-time players.

1. Destroy The Points ASAP

Although, there is no time limit in this game, you have to remember that the zombies won’t let up on you until you do one thing, which is to destroy the point. In other words, you need to stop the zombie wave on your own – the longer you take to destroy the point, the longer the zombies will keep launching attacks your way.

This won’t be difficult at first, but as you progress forward in the game, it’s naturally going to become harder. You’ll be dealing with larger hordes of zombies, and the points wouldn’t be as easy to destroy. In simpler terms, difficulty can ramp up progressively, and that would require you to destroy that point ASAP. Furthermore, you may have to deal with some zombies that rise from the dead (yes, we know it’s a paradox) if you don’t get rid of the point quickly enough. And you don’t want that to happen.

2. Use The Special Weapons

The game comes with a number of special weapons which you can use when trying to take out zombies. As mentioned in the overview, these include barrels, Molotov cocktails, and grenades, and you should collect them the moment you find them, launching them at zombies in hopes of getting rid of them en masse. Make sure your aim is as good as possible, because they won’t be easy to come by! Nonetheless, they won’t cost you any Courage (the game’s energy unit of sorts), so you don’t need to worry about not having enough of this resource to summon more troops to your cause.

3. About Summoning Troops

How does the troop-summoning mechanic work in this game? We did mention that above, so here’s a brief explanation of how you can summon troops in Dead Ahead: Zombie Warfare. First of all, you’ll be able to unlock more of them as you keep leveling up in the game, with different troops costing a certain amount of Courage. If you’re just starting out, we wouldn’t recommend using your Courage points willy-nilly; it’s best to conserve it as much as possible as you won’t have a lot of it at first. But as you kill more zombies, you’ll get more Courage points to your name.

There is a method to the madness when summoning troops in battle, and you will have to take stock of which troops are effective in a given level and which troops aren’t. Take note of what works and what won’t work, and make sure you’re upgrading your troops in between battles to ensure they can help your cause in the levels to come.

4. How To Unlock New Locations

The game will allow you to unlock new areas, and you’ll need some gas in order for you to do this. Gas is another consumable resource in the game, and you’ll have to wait for it to replenish automatically, which can be quite a pain to go through. And since it can take a while for your gas to be replenished, we would recommend that you unlock new areas with purpose in mind; don’t make the mistake of unlocking a useless, barren piece of land just because you decided to unlock areas at random!

5. Expect Tougher Zombies Along The Way

At first, you won’t have to worry too much about “special zombies” – by and large, you will be dealing with garden-variety, generic zombies that aren’t too easy to polish off. But you will eventually encounter zombies that can come back from the dead, as we mentioned earlier. You will also be faced with zombies that are faster than the regular ones, or those that are tougher or harder to take out than the ordinary undead enemies you will face. Once again, it’s imperative that you choose the right troops to deal with these special zombies.
