Company of Heroes Heading to iPad this Year

When it first came out in 2006, Company of Heroes was an instant hit. It quickly became the standard for warfare simulation. Players got to see what it was like to fight during World War II through intense squad-based battles that required quick thinking and strategy. After a few cryptic hints that had everyone guessing, Feral Interactive has finally confirmed that they will be bringing the original Company of Heroes to iPad.

Company of Heroes was originally developed by Relic Entertainment, and it continues to be one of their best work to date. The PC version is still available on Steam with SEGA as its publisher. The iPad port has been redesigned and optimized by Feral Interactive for tablet gameplay.

Feral Interactive released a trailer for Company of Heroes iPad port but did not show any gameplay shots. All that is available is that players will be commanding two companies of American soldiers through a series of operations set in World War II. The story begins with the D-Day Invasion of Normandy.

As of this writing, no announcements have been made if there are any plans of bringing Company of Heroes to iPhones and Android devices.
