BitLife Thank You, Next Challenge Guide: How to Complete the Thank You, Next Challenge

We’re not quite sure whether the year will see another major BitLife update before it is over, but we are sure of one thing — the last few weeks of 2023 will come with the usual challenges to keep iOS and Android players alike engaged with the popular life simulator game.

This is where most of the game’s replay value comes from, and if you want to see how well you can do if required to live your virtual life in a certain way, this feature should be right up your alley — four to six different requirements based on the week’s theme, and (usually) four days to complete the challenge before it gets moved to the Challenge Vault, which, for a fee, you can access to complete any challenges you missed.

If you’re looking for a breather challenge after the rather difficult or time-consuming ones you had previously completed, this should be another one that fits the bill. The Thank You, Next Challenge, as hinted by its name, is BitLife’s second challenge at least partially inspired by the life and career of Ariana Grande, though in this case, you don’t necessarily have to be a pop singer (or any other kind of musician) to complete the requirements.

You will, however, need to go through a whole slew of relationships before everything’s all said and done. And with all that out of the way, we suggest reading on, as this week’s BitLife strategy guide shows you everything you need to do to complete the Thank You, Next Challenge sooner rather than later.

Create a Character with High Looks and Aim for a High-Paying Job

Although the name of this week’s limited-time event is the Thank You, Next Challenge, the good thing here is that you’re simply going to be coming as close as possible to replicating Ariana Grande’s love life — not her musical career.

That means creating a character is as simple as making her female, setting her birth city to somewhere in Florida (Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, or Tampa), and re-rolling your character until you get someone with very good Looks (80 or higher). Having above-average Smarts or better is a nice little bonus, though not essential as far as the challenge’s requirements are concerned. It may sound superficial, but Bitizens with higher Looks have a much better chance of relationship success (i.e. in terms of starting one) than those who don’t.

When it comes to your character’s career path, you can choose any job in any field, but it is recommended that you strive to do well in school and choose a college course that could ensure you a high-paying job. Or better yet, maybe you can try starting some sort of celebrity career, depending on your best attributes. This will come in handy later on, as you’ll need a bigger house to adopt those five cats after your second divorce!

Your Ex-Boyfriends from Secondary School Need to Be from Secondary School

The next requirement in BitLife’s Thank You, Next Challenge is to break up with at least five people in secondary school.

Take note that we said “people,” as you can choose to date boys or girls depending on your character’s sexuality, or depending on the circumstances — after all, it is possible that you may end up in an all-girls school if you happen to have rich parents! The only limitation here would be that you need to date strictly within your secondary school campus. People you meet via the Date function do not count, unfortunately.

We would suggest having at least one partner per year of secondary school, but not more than two, though there isn’t any right or wrong way to go about this. Just as long as you’ve dated — and broken up with — at least five classmates before high school graduation, you should be good to go.

How to Speed Run Your Engagements and Marriages

The next requirement would be to break off at least three engagements, and that should be fairly easy assuming you have high Looks on your side. Even if you propose without a ring, you should be able to get them to say yes, though you will also want to make sure you are proposing at a place that’s conducive to such an occasion. That means no proposing at strip clubs, butcher’s shops, flash mobs, sporting events, or anything that’s too noisy…or too unbecoming for a proposal.

After you’ve gotten them to accept your proposal, you can break off the engagement right away by choosing the Cancel Engagement option in your fiancé’s menu — this is a fairly recent addition to BitLife, and canceling the engagement does not automatically end the relationship. It will affect your Relationship bar quite a bit, but you can propose again after you’ve canceled your third engagement, and make that person your first out of two spouses you will be divorcing.

When it comes to marriage, the primary thing to remember is to try your best to get your partner to sign a prenup. Failing to secure a prenup could lead to your now-ex-spouse taking you to the cleaners during a divorce settlement, and that might prevent you from purchasing the big home you’ll need after your second divorce. Otherwise, this is yet another easy requirement that you shouldn’t have trouble meeting.

You Can Only Adopt Five Cats if You Have Enough Bedrooms

As it’s long been in BitLife, you will only be allowed to keep so many pets at the same time, and this will depend on the size of your home, specifically the number of bedrooms. For the most part, the general rule to keep in mind would be one pet in one bedroom. Farms, Equestrian Properties, and other similar residences would allow for more than one pet per bedroom, but all you really need here is five cats.

We would suggest looking for the cheapest house that has at least four or five bedrooms, and once you’ve purchased that, you can head to the animal shelter and pick out five cats — no need to worry much about their names, stats, or ages, just as long as you’re able to adopt them.

Adopt those five felines and assuming you’ve completed all the other tasks in the Thank You, Next Challenge, you should be all good to go, and that should allow you to choose a new hat or eyewear from one of the four available prize chests.
