BitLife Full-Time Part-Time Challenge Guide: How to Complete the Full-Time Part-Time Challenge

Candywriter is still keeping BItLife alive, so to say, and with the game now more than three years old and gradually adding new features again after a long layoff, the company has to keep iOS and Android players alike invested in the game. And they’ve been doing that through the weekly challenges, which are all based on a given theme with usually four to six requirements and a limited amount of time to complete all those tasks for a “mystery prize” — which, as any long-time player should know, shouldn’t be much of a mystery at this point.

We’ve recently taken to calling those throwback challenges with no pop culture inspiration as “classic BitLife” challenges, as they certainly hearken back to the earliest weeks of the feature. These are also challenges that require a fair bit of grinding in most cases, because what would a good challenge be without something that, well, tests one’s patience.

That certainly applies to this week’s challenge, the Full-Time Part-Time Challenge, where you will be asked to live the life of a part-timer…while making a lot of money and buying some expensive pieces of property once you’ve earned enough.

And that’s without ever working a day of full-time employment in your life. So if you’re up to the challenge but need to get it done quicker, then this BitLife mini-strategy guide should be right for you, as we shall show you how to complete the Full-Time Part-Time Challenge without having to redo things or use the Time Machine so often, if at all.

Getting Started – Try Re-Rolling For A Rich Character

Ostensibly, there are no hard, fast rules when creating a character for the Full-Time Part-Time Challenge. None of the basic stats are particularly relevant, and you can create a male or female character from any part of the world. But one thing you can try early on is to re-roll for a rich character.

God Mode players, unfortunately, can no longer edit their parents’ wealth, so it won’t work if you have this premium feature and you’re planning to make your parents super rich so you can get a nice inheritance when they die, thus allowing you to buy the two assets required by this challenge. So what you can do instead is to keep re-rolling until you end up with a character with rich parents — you’ll know this once they turn 5 and are sent to a private school or an all-boys’ or all-girls’ school.

The first few requirements should be a breeze — at the age of 13, you can start taking freelance jobs, so complete ten of these while still in high school and you’re all set. As for part-time work, we would recommend taking three part-time jobs by the time you graduate from high school — any more than three jobs and the game will notify you that you have too much on your plate.

And in order for you to maximize your earnings, we would advise against getting married and/or having kids, or owning a car, as those could all eat into your bank balance and make it harder for you to purchase those wealth status symbols that BitLife will ask of you during the challenge.

Those ‘Special’ Jobs Also Count As Full-Time Jobs!

Upon creating a character for BItLife’s Full-Time Part-Time Challenge, you’ll notice that one requirement has automatically been checked — never hold a full-time job. That might sound easy enough, as it seems simple enough to avoid taking any of the traditional jobs that have long been available in the game.

However, you may also be tempted to dip your toes into any one of the high-paying jobs that you can take if you’re gifted with a Special Skill, such as professional athlete, musician, actor, or even criminal. The temptation may become even greater if you didn’t choose a Special Skill yet you discover that your character has high Athleticism, thus allowing them to compete in team sports in high school.

Keep in mind that these “special” jobs are counted as full-time work. Yes, it’s true that athletes get to rest during the offseason and sometimes play only a few times a week — pro football players only play once a week and for less than half a year, so that can sound like part-time. And actors and musicians only work when they have projects to work on, or tours to embark on, for the latter job.

However, it would be too easy to complete the challenge if you could get a job that lets you work fewer hours than the average Joe Schmo while making tons of money — playing pro sports, acting, making music, and heck, even robbing banks and shaking down business owners for your crime family IS full-time work, so you will really need to stick to the part-time jobs you currently have.

How To Afford Buying A Mansion And Yacht On A Part-Timer’s Salary

While working the maximum number of hours as a part-timer can make you a millionaire during young adulthood, assuming you start in your late teens as recommended, one million dollars is far from enough to afford a mansion or a yacht, or even to be approved for a mortgage or loan.

As such, you may have to keep grinding until old age (60s and above) before you can purchase either of these assets via mortgage/loan, but there are some things that could help speed things up and help you complete the Full-Time Part-Time Challenge.

If you’re lucky enough to end up with rich parents, or if you followed our advice above and kept re-rolling until you got someone who gets enrolled in private or an exclusive boys’ or girls’ school, you can rely on your parents’ inheritance when they die (or if you’re especially impatient and willing to take risks and you decide to kill them/have them killed via hitman).

Of course, there may be some wrinkles here, and the inheritance may be split several ways if you have siblings, but this is a good way to increase your bank balance so you can afford a mansion and a yacht.

Speaking of those crimes we teased above, you can also take to grand theft auto, bank robbery, or better yet, make sure you’re playing the game at a certain time of the day and pull off a train robbery. The latter is the most effective way to become an instant multimillionaire through criminal means, though you have to be playing BitLife specifically at noon, midnight, 4:20 p.m., etc., in order for the train robbery to be successful.

Lastly, the most legal (and classic BitLife) way to increase your fortune is to take the fix-and-flip route, purchasing dilapidated or haunted houses, renovating and/or exorcising them, selling them at a profit, then buying another run-down or haunted house and repeating the process as you keep making money through these real estate transactions.

Regardless of which option you choose, it is possible to afford a mansion and yacht around middle age, or even younger, and once your bank balance reaches around $4 million or $5 million, apply for a loan/mortgage for both assets. Paying outright in cash for one asset will make it hard for you to get approved for the second asset, and make it impossible to purchase the second one outright, so stick with loans/mortgages here.

Get both approved, make sure you’ve passed your boating license test before buying the yacht, and you’re all set — that should wrap up the Full-Time Part-Time Challenge and allow you to pick a prize chest and unlock a new hat or eyewear.
